Starting with the service, I was greeted friendly and promptly! The bar is got a great warm feeling between the atmosphere and the staff. I ordered the Tequila Lime Wings and it was amazing! Best wings I've had since I've visited. I wish I could say more but I leave this review in haste as I only see three stars for this place. This place is certainly not a 3 star place. Used to be really good. the wings have now changed as have the sauce they are in. the wings aren't crispy and the sauce is bland now

My husband and I tried this out for lunch on a Friday. Big mistake, half the restaurant was full of young hockey players and the bar area was full of men. Very noisy. Lots of choice for beer on tap and it is cold. However my chicken club wrap had very little chicken in it and the fries were not freshly cooked. My husband had wings that were dripping in Franks hot sauce and were soggy. He only ate about four of the 10 that came in his order. We are moving to Belleville and had hoped this mighty become a regular spot for us , we will give it another chance at a later date but so far not impressed. We gave Slapshot another try on a Monday at 1pm. Only one person trying to serve all tables, man the bar and man the cash. Needless to say service was not good, they definitely need to have two people working. Draft beer wasn't very cold and we ordered two different kinds. Food was ok but nothing special. Five stars for their wings. We came on Monday, where the wings were 85¢ apiece and HUGE. I can usually put away a pound quite easily, but after 5, I had to tap out. The suicide sauce is quite hot, and the hot sauce is great. The wings stayed crispy even into the next day when we had them for lunch. Service is friendly, but you're going to have to wait if it's wing night. The bar was completely full. It was pretty loud as there were quite a few big groups having beer and wings. read more

Famous for wings... because they're so insanely expensive?! How the hell do you justify charging over $1 per wing? Beer is always flat. Order is usually wrong. The menu boosts a great selection of burger options. And the poutine comes in two sizes. I ordered the large poutine. I received a generous portion of fresh cut fries, a heap of cheese curd and warm home-made poutine gravy. This delicious poutine concoction was served in paper inside a fry basket. Which I think was a great touch and went with the casual theme of the restaurant. My fiance ordered their supreme double deluxe. The patty's were homemade, cooked to perfection and seasoned well. His side was the fresh cut fries. Both dishes were fantastic and we will order again. Our booth was both clean and tidy. Despite the small interior of the building, all of the servers were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is very casual-themed but I do wish the seating had more room as our booth was very small and we had to maneuver to fit all of our plates, drinks and condiments on our table. I would give this place a total five if i was only judging the wings as they are hands down worth the money and being Belleville they are cheap. What I dont like about this place is that it is just outdated, the pool table needs resurfacing, the seating is not great and from the outside you would not think it was so boring inside. Chill local bar in the city of Belleville. They have some really good weekday specials including 99 cent ribs on Thursdays. If you're looking for some tasty wings, this place has large wings with some great rubs and sauces. Definitely not skimping on the meat for the wings. For the bars in this area, this place has a ton of draft beers to chose from. I also tried their Caesar which is a bit less spicy than a Bloody Mary and it tasted good but was a little weak. Overall, I enjoyed my wings and the fried pickle appetizers. The ribs are also very meaty and large for only 99 cents. I wouldn't say there is anything that special about this place but the staff is very friendly and attentive, which I liked. Would say this is your typical bar hangout after a long day at work. I come to Belleville for work trips so always looking for a chill place with a variety of beers to eat at. read more

The girls serving tap beer, sprayed me with beer and didn't care or apologize for it. I was so hoping that this would be my new spot, now not a chance will I go back there. I have family living in Belleville and every time we visit, we must go have wings at Slapshots ! Everytime we order we always receive juicy, delicious meaty wings! I recommend getting sweet chili heat, honey garlic, or lemon pepper! So yummy. Definitely recommend. read more

I tried calling to place an order for pickup about seven times in the span of an hour, without answer or call back. We ended up having to drive there and wait for our takeout. The waitress who took our order ended up being pretty rude. The wings were good, but not good enough to justify the price. Had higher hopes for this restaurant. BUT if you want to have a server who never smiles, takes forever to get you drinks (ordered water and a bottled beer), takes forever to come back and get your food order, then proceeds to not return and ask how everything is, this is where you want to go. You can tell the owners and management do not care about this place one bit. Some of the tables and chairs are broken with coasters holding the tables up, vents are missing in the ground leaving big holes and the bathrooms are so disgusting and never cleaned. I would be shocked if I went into Slapshots and there was a clean bathroom. The only saving grace are the wings and the service. The service is usually pretty good and the wings are good too. They are big and a really good deal on Mondays. That is the only thing I would ever come here for, the wings. The restaurant itself needs a complete facelift, but it's looked this way for a long time so I'm not holding my breath. They are also always out of stuff on the menu. They never have bud light either (even though it's a special on the menu for a bucket, so you can never actually get that deal. Really annoying). They've just renovated the bathroom and I and friends had high hopes that this would make a change in the cleanliness of the loo. Not so. My friend and I have eaten here many times. The food is definitely very good. They do like to water down the fountain drinks such as ginger ale and ice tea. Sometimes they are good and sometimes not so good. We were there today, November 13, 2017. My friend ordered ginger ale and i the ice tea. The ice tea was more like lightly tinted water with very little taste of tea. I sent it back complaining that it was too diluted. Our waitress said she told me last time I was there (it was actually the second last time) that they had no control over it. Well, I used to work at a snack bar in a bowling alley and i know differently. The controls on the fountain equipment do allow for adjusting the ratio of syrup to water so the mixture conforms to specifications. Some restaurants do increase the amount of water mixed so they can stretch the number of servings they get from a bottle (or bag) of the syrup. Some people don't notice because they usually get a full glass of ice and 1/3 glass of the actual drink. Our waitress got annoyed with me and asked "Why do you bother to order it?" My question to me is "Why would I want to go back there when there are plenty of other restaurants where the drinks aren't watered down. And, yes, my friend's ginger ale was also watered down. read more

Hands down best wings in Belleville. While this place doesn't have the selection like Wilder places, it makes up for it with their SIZE, flavour and texture. Other places have tried but many are over shadowed by Slapshots! I have patronized this restaurant many times. While the food is very good I found they water down the ginger ale and the ice tea. I asked the waitress if these were fountain drinks. Yes, was the reply. On one occasion I mentioned that the ice tea was very weak and they may wish to check the mixture of water to product. I was told there was nothing wrong and that the mixture was not adjustable. I was offered another drink and asked for ginger ale. The same thing was true for the ginger ale. It tasted more like carbonated water than ginger ale. I am not an alcohol drinker so I prefer ice tea or ginger ale. The ginger ale was very light and the ice tea resembled slightly tinted water. I used to work in a snack bar and know that we were able to adjust the dilution of the products from the drink fountain. I will not be returning to this restaurant again. Slapshot...more like slap to the face. Worst service I have ever had, and the waitress was just the cherry on top...of the shittiest sundae you could imagine. If you happen to have a lady with dark hair in a bun (didn't introduce herself) seat you, just do yourself a favour and walk out... seriously walk out it'll save you a crappy burger, soggy fries, and 3 hours of being straight pissed. Waitress could care less about us as customers helped me understand why she has "just breathe" tattooed on her collarbone because you will want to hit a puppy. After an hour and a half not all of our food was out, while three of us were done eating the fourth hadn't received his food yet. He ate alone... now how sad is that. OH and appetizers don't mean 'extra sides' you are supposed to receive them before your meal. Also one ordered a beer and it never showed, so you shouldn't either. Save a trip.
