I really felt like I was stepping into a pub, like a classic rugby players come here after games pub. They were setting up karaoke but we didn't partake. They told us the fish and chips were really good and so were the wings so my mom and I ordered that while my brother got Wings and sweet potato fries. The fish and chips were delicious, the fish was so crispy. My mom really liked the coleslaw and we both loved the chips (my mom ate them with ketchup and I dosed mine with vinegar). My brother really enjoyed his wings but his sweet potato fries were absolutely amazing. The servers were all really nice. I don't remember our server telling us their name but they had a pineapple tattoo on their hand and they were really attentive and friendly even though we were outside! We all really enjoyed this place! Would definitely come again if we weren't just traveling through.

They have nice big booths and big windows so yous don't feel like you're tucked away in a closet trying to eat. My only complaint is the parking lot is always packed. You can also grab beer and wine to go as well here. The espresso based coffee here is great and so are their sandwiches as well. I've tried their breakky sam with ham, egg and aioli - delish. (And I am sorely sorry to those who had different experiences!) I came to learn recently that Birdy's has come under new ownership within the last year or so. As such, the menu has changed and the quality of the food has more certainly dropped. We used to go there pretty often for special occasions. Birthdays, meetings, etc. Before, the menu boasted variety and class in Belleville that could not top other restaurants. Yet in dining here again in June, 2024, I am sad to say that they have eradicated a good majority of their menu for "basic" and mundane pallets. My spouse and I used to go for their vegan options which surpassed most other places we've tried, yet were surprised to find that the stroganoff we often eat was no longer there. Half the vegan menu was erased. Instead replaced by the simplest and cheapest of curries and another dish. Two options. Two, compared to the four-five that were given before. Also very curious to claim it as a vegan dish when the kitchen nor the new owners have read the packaging on the pita bread that accompanied it. (It was not Vegan so if vegans are eating here, please beware!!) The portions were also a bit small for the extravagant prices. It was one of our favourites and I hope to see return to what it was prior to the ownership change, but it is clear that the new owners are less inclined to think about quality and more inclined to think about the profit it generates. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Wow! Amazing service, amazing food amazing value…read more My son and I thought it would be a good idea to try the all you can eat boneless chicken wings, since we really enjoyed the all you can eat ribs this past fall. So we went together last Friday. What a pleasant surprise! The wings were fantastic. Keep in mind that these are boneless wings, so all meat! And they're the "good kind" of boneless chicken that's real meat rather than the reconstituted "nuggets" that many places serve. Cooked perfectly and the breading on them was enough to be tasty and to hold the sauce but not so much that you cant find the meat. What else was notable about the food experience? The fries!! They were notably superior. Lots of fries on the order, a good size, and not over-cooked. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap and the pint I ordered was only $7.49, which is pretty good for the area. The service was also top-notch. We were seated right away our server Todd was at the table within the first minute. He was pleasant and sociable and it was very obvious that he wanted our experience to be a good one. He took our orders, answered our dumb questions with a smile, and was quick with service. All throughout the meal he kept checking on us and was quick with the "next beer" and in keeping the table cleared. What a great difference to feel like you're truly welcome and your experience matters, unlike other places where I often feel like I'm more like an inconvenience to waiting staff. Thanks so much Todd, you did great!
