As fried as they come -this fast food chicken shop serves the most unhealthy, greasy chicken pieces. They really are a fast-food pit stop with a few tables and chairs. Services is decent, but I would not recommend them as a quick lunch stop

Food so good that i forgot to take pictures. Ive tried the Slappin fries which is my preference for sure. Delicious is not enough for the food. I also got the mac bowl but not so crazy about that one to be honest. The pasta for me was overwhelming. I prefer just the fries, chicken, and pickles combination with the gooey cheese sauce. They prepare your food in a decent time frame and the location in Astoria is pretty chill and has seating if you want to stay in. Looking to eat there again soon. Also wanted to mention that prices are pretty decent considering the amount and choices it comes with.

My first time trying this place and it was a nice fried chicken option! They have different level of spices, I got the medium and it wasn't bad. The fries were crispy and the chicken was flavorful, the portion was large I was able to take some home for dinner! Staff is friendly and provided great tips. Ambiance is ok, I don't think they had restroom.

I'd say 3.5 stars. Visually it looks very appealing. Food came out piping hot - like burned my tongue hot, which is great! There's different levels of spice, I believe the hot level is habanero and slappin level is ghost pepper. It's promised a dry rub. I feel the flavor is just heat without the flavor. You do get huge portions but certainly very heavy. The Mac n cheese had a bit left to be desired.. again I think it's missing some flavor. They have a great promo though that every Wednesday in August, everything is 50% off when you order in!

#1 Slappin Plate Ordered all toppings on the side since I got it delivered

Huge sizes!! Sauces, coleslaw, fries, pickles and chicken were all good. My only complaint is I ordered medium spice level and it had no spice whatsoever. Not sure if the wrong seasoning was put on but everything tasted great.

My favorite. Glad LIC/Astoria got one. Better than Dave's, more flavor. And of course the pudding is incredible.

The two things that plague this place from being all it can be really boils down to two things:…read moreservice and food. Most places can get by with at least one of the two but when both are faltering, then it's a tough sell overall. The remaining two stars are for the speedy delivery and relatively solid prices. Unfortunately that's about as good as it gets. This location has been around for a good minute and yet they've somehow fallen behind their sister location in Sunnyside (#1), which isn't all that great to begin with either. There are places to sit here, but it's primarily a takeout / delivery spot. I'm not sure where to start with the food. The chicken is supposed to be the star of the show, with a bunch of birds all lined up at the window slowly being cooked to woo the crowd. While the chicken has a nice char to the skin, the rest of it is incredibly bland. I've been dousing it in the house salsa every time and somehow that's still not enough. The sides are extremely mediocre. Mac and cheese is watery, almost like a bad version of boxed mac. The mashed potatoes are similar, as is the orzo salad, potato salad, and veggies. On a happier note, the rice is the best option of the bunch, but my apprehension to try other items is unlikely to change. Lastly, the service has been tough. Some days it's rude phone manners, others it's 'tude from the counter. Most of the staff is bilingual, as Spanish is super useful in this hood. They are quick to get orders out though, so that's one minor saving grace but the rest of their offerings may be worth holding off for awhile. _____________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-original-american-chicken-ii-sunnyside

We walked into a bright, casual space with a welcoming atmosphere that operates like a fast food spot but feels more unique because of the menu's combination of familiar items with Filipino flavors. The interior is clean and functional, with a steady flow of customers moving through the line, and the energy of the room stays lively and approachable, reflecting the brand's popularity across a wide range of diners. The main reason we visited was for the Chickenjoy, which is easily the standout item. We ordered a few pieces and found the chicken had a crispy coating while still staying juicy inside, and the biggest difference was the signature gravy that comes with it. The combination of the crunchy chicken and savory gravy is what makes it stand out compared to typical fried chicken places, and the gravy adds a richness that transforms the meal into something more substantial. Beyond the chicken, the other menu items are what make Jollibee different. The Filipino-style spaghetti has a sweeter sauce compared to traditional Italian pasta, which may not be for everyone but is definitely part of the experience, and the sweetness is balanced by the savory hot dog slices and cheese topping. The Peach Mango Pie is another must-try, with a crispy outer crust and a sweet fruity filling that works well as a dessert after the meal, and the contrast between the flaky pastry and the warm filling makes it one of the more memorable fast food desserts. The Palabok and rice meals also add more variety if you are looking for something beyond just fried chicken, and the noodle dish offers a different texture and flavor profile that rounds out the menu. The restaurant can get extremely busy, especially during peak times, and some locations have limited seating, so the ordering process can sometimes feel more chaotic than a typical fast food visit. The staff were friendly and the service moved along fairly well considering how popular the restaurant is, and they handled the steady flow without losing the welcoming energy. The turnover is fast enough that even with a line, the wait does not feel excessive, and the team manages the volume with efficiency. Jollibee is worth trying if you want something different from the usual fast food options. The Chickenjoy, gravy, and Peach Mango Pie are the highlights, and the Filipino-inspired menu gives it a personality that makes it stand out, offering a meal that feels both familiar and distinct, and a fast food experience that goes beyond the standard burger and fries routine.

The tables are oddly located in the middle of the room due to the design of the floor plan. Although, the food is amazing. Chickenjoy! Always the best - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The spaghetti is great and very Filipino style. I've noticed two counters up front but only 1 counter is taking orders. There are people at the back working like crazy due to orders over orders. I recommend just getting in line for orders. I did both online and in person and the in person is way faster than online. Isnt that weird? Anyways, i love the food that's why i go back here despite all the hustles and bustles.
