We hit up UFC on a scorching Wednesday, and it was a bit of a disaster. No AC in sight, just two sad little fans trying their best. Spoiler alert: it was really, really hot. Our server was great, but the chicken? Not so much. We tried the BBQ Ranch Chicken, Large (20 pc) wings in half sweet and spicy and half soy garlic, and the Beef Bulgogi. The sweet and spicy wings were the best of the bunch, though a bit too saucy--like, is this chicken or a soup? The Beef Bulgogi was as average as a C-student's report card, and the soy garlic wings were a salt lick in disguise. Some pieces of were so chewy and hard, it was like gnawing on cardboard. The BBQ Ranch Chicken looked amazing but don't be fooled--it's a salt bomb. I couldn't finish mine because of how salty it was. The real kicker? I've had way better chicken up in Ithaca, and those places don't even specialize in chicken. Oh, the irony. This was our first and probably last visit to UFC. Overall, we collectively gave it a rating of 3.2 stars out of 5.

This place is one of my favorite spots in Queens. The BBQ ranch fried chicken is insane. I don't know how they do it, but every bite is perfection. The breading is always crispy in the best way, and the sauces are delicious. Plus, they have tons of other amazing options too. I'd still recommend the BBQ ranch fried chicken tenders, though. My favorite dish I've had by far.

1st time here & I expected better. The service cuda been better. Dude seemed annoyed. Anyway, I got japchae empanada (2 pieces for $7). The inside was decent. The outside was overdone. I also got 6pcs buffalo wings with garlic Parmesan sauce ($10). The wings were good. As with any Korean restaurant, they have some banchan. They had danmuji, the white, cubed, pickled kind in sweet sauce. They also had macaroni salad which was good & fermented coleslaw. Not a fan of coleslaw, esp the fermented kind. The poutine fries ($13) were overdone, too crispy as well.

I had the pleasure of getting UFC over the weekend for takeout. Bulgogi fries were great rich in flavor fries being on the softer side. Drums and wings were crispy, loved the soy garlic. Garlic Parmesan had strong flavor. Overall food was good would get again.

The space is a little cramped and narrow lengthwise, but we were able to fit a decent sized group inside. My friends and I shared everything. We ordered a couple different flavors of fried chicken, bulgogi and pork loaded fries, and veggie jap chae. The chicken was absolutely delicious! They were delightfully crispy, tender, and was well seasoned with bold flavor. The bulgogi loaded fries with onion, scallions, and sesame seeds were also very tasty. The meat was juicy, succulent, and marinated in this wonderful savory sauce, which covered the fries as well. The fries were nice and crunchy with great potato taste. The jap chae was pretty good. Noodles were perfectly cooked and the veggies (colorful peppers, cabbage, onion) were fresh. However, I missed the meat. Service was solid. The waiter was efficient and brought everything out in a timely manner. Prices were reasonable. I'm just not sure I would return because I already tried everything I wanted.

Good not great. Serves the purpose of quick eats. Service is quick but don't expect anything extra. Just no frills. Bathroom is downstairs. Clean. Just average spot but consistent.

I am so excited I finally got to visit UFC. This place has got something for everyone - great for a treat yourself, or a group meal. Yesterday I attended a friends birthday gathering in the downstairs space. We felt so well taken care of. EATS: Wings, I lost count of how many I ate. But not regrets. Perfectly breaded and sauces chicken. As expected quality in the heart of Jackson Heights. UFC Burger, well composed and good! Can't got wrong with a few of these. And it's on a brioche! Drinks, I stuck to soju mostly. But there's over 10 really well chosen micro brews on tap. As well as all your staple soft drinks. AMBIANCE: Cute medium size room for reserve. Comfortably fit about 20 people (we were all vaccinated). Perfectly set up for karaoke - or drinking games.

Good spot for korean fried chicken. They have 4-5 different flavors to choose from. Their sides are pretty good, but too expensive. The japchae and bulgogi combo is okay. The boneless chicken with parmesan cheese is way too salty. Highly recommend this place for korean fried chicken.

This restaurant is located in Jackson heights, Queens. It popped up as the best Korean chicken joint in my area so ofcourse I had to check it out. This location is currently offering limited indoor dining Food: I ordered the soy garlic wings, bbq mustard wings & sweet & spicy wings. All 3 sauces were delicious and the chicken had a nice crunch to it but I must say the bbq mustard was my absolute favorite! Booze: they offer a plethora of assorted beers along with beer flight option. I highly recommend starting with the flight ($10) trying a few beers then deciding which to commit to. The beer paddle was numbered versus having the beer name on it, whatever beer #3 was my favorite. They also sell wine & soju! Parking: it's off street. you might have to drive around a few times for good parking as this area is highly congested but if you dine after 7pm, you won't have to pay for metered parking

The food here was reasonably priced and generous portions. The chicken was well crisp. I would highly recommend the soy garlic sauce. The spicy sauce was on the sour end.

After debating about staying or going, we were told about table may actually be leaving soon so it'd be more like 5-10 minutes. The wing Special is a dozen wings for $11 and $7 for half dozen. It comes with one sauce and dip and $.75 extra for any more. We put an order of 2 dozen wings in with medium, mild, and Honey bbq Sauces plus blue cheese. There is also a $6 draft beer special. The wings came out piping hot and we're so delicious. I couldn't tell which sauce was mild or medium and when asking a busser, he said he didnt know which was odd. Staff should know what their condiments look like to tell the difference. Luckily the medium wasn't bad so I was able to try it also. The wings are a pretty decent size so I got full after about 5 and took the rest home. Our waiter Leah was very friendly and helpful. She checked on us just enough and was very attentive. It seemed like she was the only server that night so and it was quite busy. She handled it all very well. We only came for the wings but I heard their other food is great too so I will definitely be back. As an fyi, wings day is cash only.

It's a pretty nice sports bar with large TV screens throughout the place so will definitely be on my list of places to hit up to watch a few games! Overall food and service was on point, but also it was a random weeknight where there wasn't a crowd. Either way, recommend this bar if you're looking to grab a bite or watch a game! Classic Waygu Burger - 4/5 Great tasting and juicy burger, but one thing I wish was included was a side of fries at bare minimum. Cook of the meat was on point Disco Fries - 5/5 - Think of it as poutine but with mozzarella instead. Great side dish to a burger

What to make of this place?…read more When we visited in September (at that time), a wanna-be sports bar had just taken over the Greek taverna Blue Sea Taverna (before that, two iterations of Akrotiri). Both Greek tavernas had failed or gone out of business. So we were curious to see what changes had been made. When we entered, we were initially confused because the seating, especially the lounge seating, did not create a sports bar vibe. Even adding a bunch of TVs did not give us that feel either. Instead, our initial impression was that they were trying to convert an old Greek taverna into a gastropub, similar to other well-known ones in the area. And I should also add we had not been following the local news about the controversy regarding their name association with a World War II fortified bunker that was blown up at the end of the Second World War, and only read about the controversy over their name after we left, and on social media. Apparently, the owner(s) were most likely unaware of its historical context when naming their establishment. So we did not factor that into this review. Upon entering the Wolf's Lair, the seating was that of a modified Mediterranean restaurant. We chose the comfy seating looking out towards 29th Street and 30th Avenue. It had been raining heavily, and so we were just glad to be inside. Because our initial impression was that we were in a Mediterranean gastropub, we ordered lamb chops with lemon potatoes. The waiter, who may have been one of the owners, informed us that this vegetable was not on the menu; however, when our chops arrived, as you can see from the photos, we were indeed served lemon potatoes. We got what we ordered, which made us happy, and the chops were cooked to perfection. As we usually do not drink alcohol, beverages were not factored into our review. However, there was one thing we found a little strange and creepy. When we left, one of the employees, presumably an owner, insisted on coming out to help take photos. This was a little off-putting. Nevertheless, we got some good shots. In writing this review, we spent a lot of time deliberating our experience at the Wolf's Lair. We focused on the restaurant, service, food quality, and atmosphere. While the overall experience was excellent, we did not find Wolf's Lair to have a sports-bar atmosphere, but rather a family-dining atmosphere. On the day we visited, there was hardly any action at the bar, and most of us seated were into the food, if nothing else, with one family having a birthday party for one of their children. Overall, we had a good experience. Whether we come back to see if the Wolf's Lair becomes an actual sports bar, well, that's another matter.

The kitchen here doesn't shy away from traditional flavors--the food is unapologetically spicy and savory, avoiding the "overly sweet" profile that many Thai spots fall into. Here's the breakdown of what we tried: Tom Yum Goong: This was the star of the show. It had a sharp, clean heat and a perfect citrus punch without that syrupy finish you often find elsewhere. Crispy Pork Belly: Exactly what you want it to be. The skin was incredibly crunchy, and the meat remained tender, seasoned perfectly to highlight the savory pork flavor. Fried Fish: Deep-fried to perfection with a light, crispy exterior. The sauce paired chili and fish sauce with fresh mango. Crab Fried Rice: Generous with the crab meat and wonderfully "wok-hei" (charred) and salty. It wasn't bogged down by sweet soy sauce, allowing the delicate crab to shine. The only real sweetness of the night came from the Mango Sticky Rice, which was the perfect, cooling end to a very spicy meal. The mango was ripe and the coconut milk was rich, providing the only sugary reprieve of the evening. Service was so nice. The hostess and sever were so nice and friendly. The severer felt like a Thai uncle, he made jokes, gave us napkins, joked with my child. It felt so familial. If you want authentic, spicy Thai food that prioritizes salt, spice, and acid over sweetness, this is your spot.

Kam Rai Thai has a very cozy and warm atmosphere with fake flowers decor everywhere. Street parking can be hard at times and involve circling around a few times. Food menu can be accessed by QR code and paper menu for drinks. The first time I visited Kam Rai Thai, I shared the papaya salad with my friend and had the Pad woon sen with shrimp. The papaya salad with green papaya, string bean, tomato and roasted peanut with spicy lime juice was refreshing and light. The Pad woon sen has sauteed glass noodle, egg, onion, scallion, cabbage, celery, carrot, tomato and sesame oil. The second time I visited, I had the Pad see ew with beef. The Pad see ew has sauteed wide noodles with Chinese broccoli, black soy sauce, and egg. Both dishes were very flavorful, delicious, delectable, and appetizing. The dishes were very filling and there was a good proportion of noodles and protein. I've had the Rainfall in Loei and Fang Martini Time, both are really good drinks and not overly strong. We shared the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was good. The mango was very fresh and the sticky rice with coconut milk was sweet, but not overly. My friends ordered the Kopi De Trang, Spicy Maesai Plum, Rainfall in Loei, Thai ice tea lychee, pad see ew with chicken, pad kee mao beef (non spicy), and khao soi gai confit. I ordered a pad kee mao beef with a spice level of 2 to go. It is a great option to have a spicy and non spicy option for pad kee mao. Everyone enjoyed their food. Staff are very friendly and the food come out very quickly after ordering. There is a 5% discount if you pay with cash and a 2.95% surcharge for credit cards.
