His company specializes in choice and rare World coins. Their inventory usually has something to intrigue most World coin collectors with realistic prices. M. Louis Teller is real. His personality is real, his coins are real, his pricing is real. What I…read moream saying is that you will find him full of information, you will also find world class coins that many other dealers seek out and often actually purchase from him, to resell to their clients. Additionally, I find his staff to be very informed, courteous and helpful. Gus who I often see at major coin shows, works along side of Mark. Their firm has worldwide knowledge, they travel extensively, and they have all the data from archives and catalogs at their disposal for an almost instant valuation. I just recently purchased coins and medals from his firm at the Chicago ANA World Fair of Money (August 2013), and as always, I am entirely satisfied both with the quality and price. His firm is a great source for high quality world coins and easy stress free dealing.

Went in for Pokemon singles. They have a system where you search cards on a tablet that has pricing…read moreand condition. They were adamant that you use the system to even take a look at cards. There were a couple employees available and I asked to see a couple cards but they insisted I type it into the system, select all the cards I'm interested in, then select check out, and THEN an employee would gather the cards for me to view. The first couple of cards I tried to type in were not found in the system but were in the display case. The employee suggested I type the card number (e.g. 2/108) and that did not work either. Finally I found a card I liked in the system but when I looked up that particular card, it appeared to have 2 versions, both near mint but different prices. When asked about the difference in prices, the person behind the counter took 10 minutes to research the cards and change the prices to even higher than originally listed - stating there was only 1 version of the card and they were mislabeled in the system. At this point, he finally showed me the cards and they were objectively not near mint. I wanted to get a closer look to see how played they were but they would not let me see the card outside the sleeve even when I requested that they take it out themselves if they were scared I would damage the card. He then again took the time to inspect the cards himself and correct the listed condition of the cards in their system while he had me wait. I asked if they would honor the original listed price from when I walked in but they said no. With that, and my not being able to make my own, closer inspection on the condition, I ended up not buying anything since I had no baseline to go off to see if it was worth buying for myself. Even without making a purchase, it was an awkward, uncomfortable shopping experience. The sealed product was comparatively much higher than the current market prices. There is a decent selection of singles but their tablet system was misleading and inconsistent. The selections were not good enough to entice me to come back. Be careful in your own price checking when coming to this place.

We'll usually go in and window shop and she has a blast looking at all the cool stuff. Today was like another of those experiences but with an extra very refreshing cherry on top. Sarah who worked here, was absolutely fantastic. From entering the store and welcoming us with a warm greeting and asking us if we need assistance to the gold standard checkout experience. We love coming here for the amazing products and nostalgic items as well as the amazing selection and atmosphere. Everything is very fairly priced and valued really well. I always enjoy coming here for my daughter and for my own interest. I hope this store stays here at the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square mall for years to come and it's highly recommended for all. Thanks Sarah and Mind Games!

We absolutely love this store…read more Anytime we're at the mall we always make sure that we stop in. We're a big board game and puzzle family and this is the best store for both of those things in the San Fernando Valley that I'm aware of. It is located inside the mall so be aware of that. They have a good selection of games, they have a really excellent selection of puzzles. I'm sure this is driven by what sells for them but they have way too many Funko pop figures for me. That's not my thing, and it takes up a lot of space in the store. But I'm sure they sell a lot of them. They also have some great toys, although not a great selection of them. Everyone here who works here is friendly and helpful. We've never had any issues there. I will say their recommendations are not always great. The main thing that does bring this store down a little bit is just how expensive some of the things can be. It's pretty often that you can find the same item for less money on Amazon. I know that makes me sound heartless, and I love supporting shops like this, but sometimes the price difference is very considerable. But overall it's a great store, definitely check it out.
