Sports Source 2 in Studio City is a very unique store. The current selection of cards is incredibly low end and overpriced. The service is not that great either. The store is cluttered and it's not an ideally clean space to be either. I will be getting my sports cards elsewhere and I recommend everyone else does as well. When you walk in to see if they're interested in a signed LA Galaxy jersey Circa 2009-2010 (signed by a good majority of the squad, including Landon Donovan) and "the guy in charge" is more preoccupied with whether you are the person who parked in their parking spot instead of even trying to take said jersey out of the bag to inspect it... Horrendous customer service. Guy on phone (apparently the owner of the shop or "the guy in charge") was dismissive at best and plain awful at worst. How do you run a business like that? They didn't even bother to look at jersey to see if David Beckham's autograph was indeed on the jersey, which clearly is a collector's item for some die hard LA Galaxy/Soccer fan. Save yourself the trouble of being ignored and go to the other shops in town. read more

This is the Rolls-Royce of card shops! If you want to see Jordan, Kobe, Kofax, Mantle or Tiger Woods memorabilia these guys have it all, and at a fair price. Consider how hard it is to find a Michael Jordan Peter Max piece....they have one (unbelievable)!!! I'm a formerly recovering card addict. I was off the stuff for close to a decade, but something snapped about 5 years back and the itch was back... I've been to a number of card shops throughout Los Angeles (and Washington, as well as numerous other states before it), and The Sports Source 2 is one of the best shops you can go to. While the shop isn't terribly huge, they've usually got a great selection of packs, from easy to find stuff to harder to find stuff, and Mike (the owner) is extremely helpful and courteous to those that come in to shop. The packs are not cherry picked (and Mike has thrown people out for trying), and prices are very reasonable. There is always a selection of great autographs, vintage cards, and rookies to be purchased at reasonable prices, and also some nice eclectic stuff you can get too. If you're looking for a place to go purchase a gift for the sports collector in your life, this is the place to go. The honest sales, nice location and great selection make it a great stop. read more

I was told to come here to sell some of my memorabilia which includes baseball, basketball, football, hockey super rare cards. Two jerseys, one of which was signed by Karl Malone. While I was getting my stuff together which couldn't have taken more than 4 minutes I was approached by the store keep. He immediately approached my car and said "you're going to have to move I have an important client coming." I felt very disrespected and apparently not as important as his client coming. Customer service is extremely bad and not sure about the inside due to getting kicked out of the "store's parking space". The memorabilia industry is mainly dealt through word-of-mouth and my peers and I will not be dealing with this character again! Two thumbs down!! read more

I am the mom of a budding baseball card collector. The owner of this shop is a really nice guy. Super patient. He takes time to educate the customers, even the young ones. I know it seems really simple. But he went out of his way to show my son the proper way to open a pack. And he always gives him a sleeve when he pulls a good card. All the kids in 1st grade are super into trading cards, but mostly Pokemon. My kid couldn't care less about Pokemon, but loved the idea of trading cards, so starting asking for Soccer and Basketball cards (and Star Wars too, while you're at it). I didn't know the first thing about them and didn't even know were to buy them. I looked online and was super confused.
