Sports Source 2 - New set! - Hobby Shops Near Me - Studio City, California

Not a great experience. I was told to be quiet because they were live streaming, which made me feel like customers come second. If you're open for business, customers should be treated with respect, not like a disruption. read more

Hmmm the owner has a personality of a foul ball.....we have shopped in here three times now and for a three strikes your out moment today. We had mad cash to spend on cards today but attitudes of ungratitude turned us off when a narcissistic owner talks down to his customers. When you own a business, you should kindly educate your clients not disregard their lack of sports knowledge. Your out buster! Bye read more

The owner Mike, most rude person I've come across. He was no help when I was searching for my Pokémon cards. His store is an absolute mess and his employees were too busy on their phones to help me. I parked in his parking spot and he yelled at me because he didn't think I was a customer. I will never return, and you shouldn't either if you have high expectations of customer service. read more

Great selection of sport cards, very knowledgeable personnel. Very competitive pricing. A+

Son and I visited this card shop because the "largest selection in the world" card shop was closed! Glad we found this place. Good selection of unopened material and lots of bargain/discount boxes. Owner was a great guy who gave us a lot of useful information about our upcoming visit to Dodger Stadium. Prices are what to expect at a card shop. Worth the stop. read more

Sports Source 2 - Entrance - Hobby Shops Near Me - Studio City, California

Sports Source 2 is my favorite card shop and is great for trading. the products are very well priced.

I have been here twice now, pleased with my finds. This last visit I was directed to box filled with exactly the type of older cards I was looking for. Very fair prices, good help, easy parking. I will be a regular customer. Thanjs!!!! read more

Sports Source 2 in Studio City is a very unique store. The current selection of cards is incredibly low end and overpriced. The service is not that great either. The store is cluttered and it's not an ideally clean space to be either. I will be getting my sports cards elsewhere and I recommend everyone else does as well. Feel free to check it out for yourself... read more

Had a GREAT experience here! I am getting back in to the hobby and the guys here were welcoming and willing to help out, even while prepping for a live break on IG Live. I highly recommend checking out this local business!! read more

When you walk in to see if they're interested in a signed LA Galaxy jersey Circa 2009-2010 (signed by a good majority of the squad, including Landon Donovan) and "the guy in charge" is more preoccupied with whether you are the person who parked in their parking spot instead of even trying to take said jersey out of the bag to inspect it... Horrendous customer service. Guy on phone (apparently the owner of the shop or "the guy in charge") was dismissive at best and plain awful at worst. How do you run a business like that? They didn't even bother to look at jersey to see if David Beckham's autograph was indeed on the jersey, which clearly is a collector's item for some die hard LA Galaxy/Soccer fan. Save yourself the trouble of being ignored and go to the other shops in town. read more

in my opinion, this is the worst sports store in all of Los Angeles. The owner is rude and disrespectful. Terrible customer service, the list goes on and on. I would stay away and spend your money elsewhere... read more

Great customer service bout some mosaic's and other MLB Sport card boxes. The guy who helped me out was very informative.

Stopped in with my son to look around and was impressed with their selection of sports memorabilia. If they don't have it, they'll find it. Every question my son had Michael politely answered. We left with a few items and my son ask to go back often If you are in the area stop by, even if you're not, it is worth the drive read more

Love going to this card shop always has a good variety and owner is very nice. Makes you feel comfortable there. 1 of the best card shops in LA. I collect basketball cards and I always find product their. Very rare when I go their and he's sold out. He always fills shelves. Great place read more

I've been going to SS2 for several years and am always so happy with my purchases. Mike is incredibly knowledgable and it's obvious he's not there just to take your money. He gives you great advice on what might be the best product for you. If he doesn't have it, he can probably get it. Love him. Loyal customer for life. read more

This is the Rolls-Royce of card shops! If you want to see Jordan, Kobe, Kofax, Mantle or Tiger Woods memorabilia these guys have it all, and at a fair price. Consider how hard it is to find a Michael Jordan Peter Max piece....they have one (unbelievable)!!! The place to shop for that unique guy in your life who has everything they could ever want but enjoy the nostalgia of the most unique events in sports for sure! I love the decor in the store, it's clean and the music playing is always hip but not to trendy (bonus for me). Parking is easy, as they have their own private lot too! The guys know their stuff here, and are trust worthy and fair. There is something for everyone here from 1$ to $10,000's. The most unique cards and sports memorabilia in LA - HANDS DOWN! read more

I'm a formerly recovering card addict. I was off the stuff for close to a decade, but something snapped about 5 years back and the itch was back... I've been to a number of card shops throughout Los Angeles (and Washington, as well as numerous other states before it), and The Sports Source 2 is one of the best shops you can go to. While the shop isn't terribly huge, they've usually got a great selection of packs, from easy to find stuff to harder to find stuff, and Mike (the owner) is extremely helpful and courteous to those that come in to shop. The packs are not cherry picked (and Mike has thrown people out for trying), and prices are very reasonable. There is always a selection of great autographs, vintage cards, and rookies to be purchased at reasonable prices, and also some nice eclectic stuff you can get too. If you're looking for a place to go purchase a gift for the sports collector in your life, this is the place to go. The honest sales, nice location and great selection make it a great stop. read more

Had a great visit with Mike here the other day. I came in looking for some plastic protectors for my existing collection and was pleasantly surprised to also find some great Funko Pop stuff too. In addition, Mike is just a nice guy to talk to and hang out with. Go check it out! Looking forward to hitting him up when I build my "man cave" some day. Gotta stock up on some classic memorabilia. read more

Sports Source 2 is an extension of LA Lakers Staples Center. As soon as you enter the store you will be welcomed with am amazing ambiance that reflects the Purple Yellow Power of LA Lakers! Of course the owner, Mike is very welcoming to guests, Instantly upon first conversation with him, a deal got closed immediately! Mike gave me an amazing sports card deal! Located in LA's Studio City (near Universal Studios). Sports Source 2 offer a huge selection of Rare Sports Memorabilia, Sports Cards, Sports Bobble head Toys, Sports Entertainment, Pro Wrestling, Pop Culture Toys (yes, they got awesome selection of Sports Funko Pops). Hands down the finest sports memorabilia and card shop in the LA area. Its absolutely the best place to introduce youngsters to the hobby, and if you're looking for something rare and hard to find, the guys at SS2 can help you find it. I'm like a kid in a candy store in this place. Parking is breeze. Its right next to a hardware store too, so I often hit two birds with one stone. read more

I was told to come here to sell some of my memorabilia which includes baseball, basketball, football, hockey super rare cards. Two jerseys, one of which was signed by Karl Malone. While I was getting my stuff together which couldn't have taken more than 4 minutes I was approached by the store keep. He immediately approached my car and said "you're going to have to move I have an important client coming." I felt very disrespected and apparently not as important as his client coming. Customer service is extremely bad and not sure about the inside due to getting kicked out of the "store's parking space". The memorabilia industry is mainly dealt through word-of-mouth and my peers and I will not be dealing with this character again! Two thumbs down!! read more

Very nice guy. Friendly, informative, and knows his stuff! I will come back for sure.

Owner is awesome. I love people who love what they do, and this guy definitely does...and he does it not only in an ethical, but a fun way!

Came here for a gift for my boyfriend. I didn't have a ton of money to spend but knew I needed something unique. The staff is incredible - he helped me find something that was perfect for the bf... and at a great price. The store is super cool too. It was a pleasure to walk around and check out all of their cool sports memorabilia. I'm glad I came solo because my boyfriend would have gone crazy with all of the cool stuff they have! read more

Great place to continue or start your hobby. Mike is a great guy and knowledgeable, always good for a chat. Check it out!

Great place awesome prices and very friendly to their customers. Bought a few boxes received a bunch of great cards. See you again soon. Thank you Big Mike. read more

I am the mom of a budding baseball card collector. The owner of this shop is a really nice guy. Super patient. He takes time to educate the customers, even the young ones. I know it seems really simple. But he went out of his way to show my son the proper way to open a pack. And he always gives him a sleeve when he pulls a good card. This is the kind of great customer service that will make return customers out of us. He's got stuff in every price range, including basketball and football cards and collectibles. read more

Awesome shop! I just started collecting again and the guy at the shop was awesome with letting me know what's hot! I actually bought a few packs a pulled a jersey/auto redemption! I will definitely be back at the shop in the future! read more

I'm no where near a sports card fanatic or knowledgable about this stuff. I went in and spoke with Mike about some autographs I've been wanting to get framed professionally. He was so kind and hooked me up with his guy he uses for framing. Took the time to explain to me everything I needed to know. He also taught me how to research the value of some cards I had. What a classy guy. I didn't even buy anything and he was still so great. If I ever need memorabilia you better believe this place is my first and only destination. read more

All the kids in 1st grade are super into trading cards, but mostly Pokemon. My kid couldn't care less about Pokemon, but loved the idea of trading cards, so starting asking for Soccer and Basketball cards (and Star Wars too, while you're at it). I didn't know the first thing about them and didn't even know were to buy them. I looked online and was super confused. Then I discovered this place and Mike super-patiently answered all my stupid questions and put together a nice combo of packs that will make an awesome holiday present for my son. He didn't try to up-sell me at all and understood that I just wanted my son to have fun with it. I can't wait to bring my kid back here after the holidays! read more
