Looked very sparse, the dates and walnuts were tiny, only saw the coconut shrimp once in the passed apps. The steak on the main course of the plated dinner was very small nothing like the tasting we had at secret gardens. Chicken Alfredo tortilini was not plated as we tasted. Everything was smaller portioned than our tasting. We did not go with Sagno for the cake since I did not like their cake. We ordered tiramisu, the tiramisu was not made with marscapone instead cream cheese, obviously cheaper and not the right taste. The Miami events- awesome all the way around! The violinist was amazing, the dance floor beautiful and great DJ. Drinks by us- great to work with but only around 8 bottles that were average brands. For a full open bar not sure it would be enough for a lager crowd. There are a lot of additional costs to the all inclusive price. I did feel a little nickeled and dimed about the early access for the brides room. 765.00 to get in the room 7:30 instead of 10. The room is empty and I thought that to be a pricey add on. Beware there is construction on the grounds and the bride and grooms rooms need some updating. All in all the wedding was amazing and like the backdrop of Secret Gardens.

We did get upgraded from an ocean view room to a coastline view suite and appreciated being able to choose between the two at check-in. Even with the upgrade, the stay didn't live up to expectations. The biggest issue is that the property feels dated and poorly maintained. In our room alone there was peeling laminate in the bathroom, likely from the tub faucet spraying toward the window, a shower that never got hot enough, and on our last day the closet door handle literally fell off. Not what you expect at this price point. Service was inconsistent. We walked into our room at one point and found housekeeping sitting on the couch. Valet was also frustrating since the parking attendant couldn't clearly direct us to visitor parking, so we ended up paying for valet every day. The hair dryer was low quality with only one heat setting. I use a salon-quality dryer at home, but even compared to some 4-star hotels this felt like a downgrade. Small detail, but it adds up. Food was mediocre and overpriced. A $22 piña colada mocktail was basically a slushy. Nothing we had stood out in a good way. The pool area is smaller than expected and not particularly nice for a resort like this. We were expecting more, whether that meant a larger pool, a second pool, or something more elevated. The beach was the highlight. Chairs and umbrellas were included in the resort fee and the staff there were genuinely warm and attentive. There was also noticeable construction noise and sound from the nearby bridge, which took away from the overall experience. The blackout curtains didn't fully close, which made it harder to get good sleep with a baby, and the balcony furniture felt minimal. Overall, this felt like fake luxury. The branding is there, but the experience doesn't match. Not worth the price and we would not stay here again.

Where they have lounge chairs and umbrellas and full service for their drinks and food from their kitchen. We got a complimentary upgrade to a suite, in our room was amazing! We had beautiful Florida ceiling views of the harbor and bridge. We enjoyed Boat watching in the evenings. I really love the room so much, we are only here for two nights but you could stay comfortably in this room for a month if you could! And I have full kitchen, living room, desk, separate bedroom, and two bathrooms!

He sat us down were given drinks and explained everything to us. We ended up getting upgraded to the 19th floor. I love that they have someone push the elevators for you and each elevator is specific so you don't have to wait much. Our room was amazing, spacious, stocked with all the goodies/amenities, and comfortable. I love that it had a walk in closet with a mirror. The bathroom had a large tub, seperate rooms for toilet for privacy, and large shower. There were separate his and her vanities with sinks. I also appreciate the makeup mirror and dyson hair dryer. The room was huge and bed was super comfy. I love the electronic drape curtains and balcony. Balcony view was insane overlooking the pool and beach. I love that there was a table and two super large comfy lounge chairs out there. There were two pools which had one that was adult only and one that allowed children. We spent two days at the adult only pool which included towel service. It was relaxing and beautiful. They have comfy lounge chairs which overlooks the pool and or the beach area. Service was topnotch everywhere. We did use the rolls royce courtesy drive. We ate breakfast there one of the days and their brunch buffet was quite good. We also enjoyed their bar on one night that had a nice vibe to it. In the lobby you can find a gelato stand where you can even sample different gelatos. We also had butler service but we didn't really use it. I honestly had the best time at this St. Regis location. The spot isn't super big but it had everything. I cannot wait to be back.

Extremely disturbing experience…read more I visited The Ancient Spanish Monastery with a friend expecting to pay the advertised $10 admission. We simply wanted to visit the property and take normal pictures of each other while we were there -- no professional photographer, no equipment, and no commercial photoshoot. I was told that because I was "well dressed," I would need to pay over $300 to take pictures. I explained very clearly that this was NOT a professional photoshoot. What disturbed me most was the explanation I was given: I was told that if I had come wearing jeans and a shirt, I would not be charged the additional fee, but because I was wearing a long dress, jewelry, and had my makeup done, I looked like I had money and therefore could afford to pay more. I also felt racially profiled during this interaction and extremely uncomfortable with the assumptions being made about me. A visitor's admission or photography fee should not be determined by how expensive an employee thinks they look, what they are wearing, or how much money an employee assumes they have. If there is a legitimate photography policy, it should be clearly published and applied equally to everyone based on what they are doing -- not based on their clothing, jewelry, makeup, race, or perceived financial status. I came expecting to enjoy a historic and religious site. Instead, I left feeling singled out, judged, and discriminated against. For this to happen at a place of religious significance made the experience even more disappointing.

It's a very nice course, which of course I'm not allowed full access to but it's always busy and is wee maintained. Because wheelchairs are not allowed onto the green we are limited to how much we can play but they've managed to accommodate us with space and activities we can enjoy. An area for putting, an area for pitching and on the driving lane, if that's what it's called. The whole area is not necessarily handicapped accessible, but it works. I need to be pushed around at some points because it's very hilly and I'm terrified of hills.

As a fan of history and architecture, the Hollywood Women's Club certainly caught my eye as I was…read morewalking along the exercise path that runs along the historic Hollywood Beach Golf and Country Club across the street. Like many women's clubs in Florida, the Hollywood Women's Club was founded in 1922 during the Florida Land Boom years. In the 1920's women's clubs were formed to give back to the community. They became a way for women to get out of the house and assert their independence. They allowed women to get involved in politics and launched the women's rights movement. The Hollywood Women's Club predated the founding of the city and in 1924 they joined the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The first club members were the wives of officers in the J.W. Young Organization which was the development company building Hollywood. They met in the first clubhouse that was built on land donated by the founder of Hollywood, Joseph W. Young in 1927. Early club projects included donating hundreds of books to the first public library, holding tag sales to pay for health screenings for children, giving migrating farmers assistance with housing and welfare, getting the Miami Telephone Co. to bring the first telephone line to town, and collecting $12,000 during a war bonds drive. Today the club supports literacy programs, funds a youth scholarship, participates in the Hollywood Historical Society, supports the neighborhood crime watch, and provides financial aid to many state charities through the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The original plans for the clubhouse included an ornate Mediterranean Revival style. After the collapse of the land boom due to the Great Depression and several hurricanes the design was scaled back to a more affordable $25,000 Classical Revival style building in 1927. The building was listed as a a local historical landmark in 1985, and added to the National Register of Historic Place in 1995. Between 2012 and 2014 money was raised by the club and added to a grant to prevent the clubhouse from sinking into the sand. Other cosmetic work was also completed on this charming historical building. In 2022 the Hollywood Women's Club celebrated their 100th anniversary. During this time further electrical improvements and upgrades to the kitchen were made. Today the clubhouse is available to be rented for private events. The 1,200 square foot main event room has hardwood floors and a grand piano and can accommodate 60 people. There is also a catering kitchen. Information on how to rent the clubhouse and join and volunteer with this important civic organization can be found on the club website. If there are any upcoming events you can find that information as well. For instance they hold 2 round bingo nights for $10. The next bingo night is May 30th and they serve inexpensive drinks including alcohol and snacks. For over 100 years the women of Hollywood have been coming together to improve their local community as well as the state of Florida. Women's clubs have a legacy of helping their communities and it's nice to see that this one is still going strong today.

The restored Women's Club is run by a staff of loving, dedicated volunteers. Every question that I had as our plans developed were addressed with amazing speed.
