I don't know if they have other food items but the bartender builds a damn good Chicago style dog. Hands down the best in this airport and as good or better than many in Chicago. He can talk about it too. He might have made a couple thousand of these in his life - dude knows what he is doing. Giber and Ivy were awesome! Our drinks were well mixed and the Chicago dogs were, well, the best. It's an airport bar so had low expectations (and honestly would never have checked yelp because me we are at an airport lol). We were greeted right away, and served exactly what we asked for. I rarely leave reviews , but I had been strolling the airport for 20-30 mins trying to find a place to grab a drink or two for my 5 hr layover . Got my first drink because he greeted me the moment I walked in and was patient felt that deserved at least one drink . After having a 1 star experience with a bar at gate K-3, I walked further down the concourse to K-10 to discover Skyscrapers. It was not crowded at all and had a clean, bright atmosphere. Once again, I have a review that is based greatly on the actions of a single employee. This person would be the bartender, Carmen, a Romanian beauty with a most intriguing accent and an effusive personality. She made sure all her patrons were happy. I ordered a Goose Island IPA on tap. When she poured it, it just looked a little off color with too much foam. She immediately poured it out and said no way she'd serve that to me. I was going to order a Goose from the bottle, when she suggested another local IPA instead, Revolution Brewing's Anti-Hero. This was a very good IPA I would not have experienced if not for her. And since I was leaving Chicago, I decided to get one more Chicago Dog. You would think an airport bar would have a fairly corporate bland Dog, but their's was actually pretty good, with the requisite sport peppers and poppy seed bun! I finished up with a chilled shot of Jameson. It was a nice pour, but a tad expensive, but that's just how it is at the airport. I was having such a GOOD time with Carmen and the other patrons that when I glanced at my phone, I saw that my flight was boarding, and I had to beat a hasty exit! I love stopping at this bar when I am in the O'Hare airport. I usually get Alfredo and he is a great bartender! Very attentive and can keep up with a ton of people in one tiny bar. This tidy little pocket bar was down the hall from my gate. I arrived on time for the flight but mildly exhausted and privately convinced that the plane would crash. These people fed me Jack Daniels and Diet Coke (sorry) for 20 minutes. They began by carding me, following which the bartender and I discussed botox (I don't use it), and she pointed out that travel is inevitably stressful but that it can produce a series of amazingly beautiful memories in your head that you can return to repeatedly. She's from Mexico City and is therefore more cosmopolitan than me or many of the customers. The bar's owner charged me about half the going price for my two drinks, and they both helped me keep an eye on the clock. They started my trip on a high note, could have a second career as therapists (many members of the Institute for Psychoanalysis have far worse people skills and are less effective), and deserve our custom. read more

My plane was delayed for an hour so I went to Skyscrapers to watch the World Series baseball game. I'm pregnant, 34 weeks and clearly showing, so I just ordered a water. I sat at the bar for about 15 minutes and the bartender came up to me and said "Ma'am if you're not going to order anything then I'm going to ask you to leave. There are cameras above the mirror and if my boss sees you didn't order anything, he will be upset." I'm clearly pregnant, waiting for my flight, just wanting to watch the World Series so I was very ticked to say the least. I felt very degraded as a pregnant women and don't think it was necessary to kick me out of the bar. The bartender was extremely rude and I will not stop in that restaurant again. read more
