Multiple calls going and back and forth and her telling us to get it off the ship so they can't come back and charge us. This is why you go with a travel agent versus doing it all on your own. They know what to do and how to get it worked out. If you think that you will be saving money doing it on your own you won't be. This is the 3rd time she has had to work for us while we have been in port or already on the ship. She always has the paperwork to back things up for you and keep stuff straightened out.

She is kind, efficient, knowledgeable and an outstanding advocate for her clients. My husband and I have benefited from her advocacy skills negotiating with the different cruise lines as others have mentioned. She knows the different cruise lines inside and out and is very good at matching clients needs to appropriate cruise companies. We have booked four cruises with Barb's astute guidance and have been extremely satisfied. We are currently working with her on a Hawaiian cruise coming up this year. I have recommended Barb in the past to our family and friends and will continue to recommend her for all cruise and related vacation needs. Keep up the great work, Barb!

The gorgeous scenery and wildlife sightings made us all fall in love with the Arenal area and La Fortuna. Best sightings were the monkeys, toucan, owls, colorful birds and reptiles that we saw hiking, zip-lining and floating through the rainforest. The guides were all so amazing at spotting the hidden wildlife and they were such a joy be around and learn from. You could tell they loved their jobs and were proud to share their extraordinary country with us visitors. And the hot springs... so beautiful and relaxing!! Tamarindo was a fun surfer beach town. So many great restaurants to explore and we enjoyed lounging by the beautiful pools. The catamaran/snorkeling trip was an excellent way to end the vacation. This trip wouldn't have happened without Jessica at Gökotta Travel. She arranged all the important details (airport transfers, resorts, travel between cities, tours) so that we could relax and enjoy it all. We had a perfect balance of free time and planned activities. Definitely reach out to Jessica to plan your next adventure!

It took me less than 5 min at the counter and I had a nice conversation with the clerk about a quinceañera she was going to later in the week. The parking lot is huge and you can get a good grasp on how long it might take you when you park based on how many cars are there. I went at 9 am on a Saturday and 8:15 or so on a Monday. Both times I waited maybe half an hour, but the first time I forgot my paperwork. Don't do that. The lobby is heated if you get there before they've opened (it's winter as I write this). Once you enter the building, there's a travel store directly to the left, then an information desk, THEN the entrance to the DMV. When you enter the dmv, you need to take a ticket with a number on it. You sit in the chairs until they call your number (make sure you're listening) and then you're up! The only thing I didn't love about this DMV is that we couldn't make appointments, but they were so quick that it didn't really matter. Almost wanted to gatekeep this great find to keep it quiet but the goodness of my heart compelled me to share with all of you. See ya there!

I mainly made this decision because the stakes are too high for a big trip for me to do it all on my own. It was one thing when I was planning a trip for ten or so, but recently I needed to plan a trip for 20 people from two continents to head to Yosemite. Since I've never done Yosemite, I decided not to chance it. That's when I found Eric Jensen with Pocket Map travel. I specifically searched for someone who had experience with both Yosemite and Disney, and Eric fit the bill. Even though he is based in Minnesota, we're in the same time zone, and we do everything by phone and email. He is absolutely wonderful to work with. He helped me narrow down my choices from dozens of hotels that could have worked down to the one that would perfect for what we were looking for: Rush Creek Lodge. He had helped us get our rooms and was starting to help us look into activities for all ages and fitness levels when Covid-19 started to ruin our travel plans. Eric took care of our cancellations. He's also planned all the hotels for eight of us to go Mexico for my 40th in October. While that trip is also up in the air, it's nice to know I can trust Eric to help me figure out what we need to do and when depending on what happens next.
