A very nice lady named Mercelle manages it called me the next day confirming my reservation and offered to email me the paperwork to sign because I wasn't close by. On move in day I realized I wasn't going to arrive during business hours so I called her to ask for direction on what to do. She left my unit unlocked for me with a sticky note inside containing instructions I would need. We actually wound up needing a lock after hours (they use a special cylinder lock, take my advice: just buy it from their office and save yourself the hassle) and I called and left a VM that we needed help getting a lock on our unit. The moment Mercelle heard the message she put a lock on our unit and locked it up for us until we arrived to pick up the keys! 10/10 recommend this company and location. They work hard to remove some stress of moving and are very accommodating.

This review is somewhere in the middle. Am giving this business a 3 out of 5 based on the following: Pros: The facility is neat, clean, secure and well organized, access is good and the staff are helpful. Cons: We initially got our unit in May of 2021 for $75/month, a very good rate. 6 months later they raised the rates 25% from $75/month to $95, then raised them again 4 months later at the end of February another 15% to $105/mo. That's a whopping 40% raise in rates in less than a year! I don't appreciate being leveraged for money based on the perception of how inconvenient it will be for a client to relocate their stuff to another facility. If you use these guys, go into it open-eyed and don't be duped by an introductory price that sounds great unless you only plan on being there for a month or two. They will absolutely raise your rates. Recommend finding a contract where you can lock in your rate for the expected duration you plan on storing your stuff, or where the storage facility is at least up front about what rate increases you might expect. This was (in my opinion), opportunist money-grubbing for a client that had planned on storing their belongings for about a year. We're relocating our stuff at the end of the month, and yes, while it's inconvenient, I don't appreciate feeling like I'm being leveraged by someone on the pretense that somehow they have to raise rates to prevent "going under". Seriously? Give me a break. That poor-mouth excuse is hard to sell when this struggling company somehow has enough profits to build a second storage facility right across the highway during a high cost construction boom. I count at least 250 10 X 15 units plus another at least 100 smaller units. Even at 70% occupancy, this translates to gross monthly income of at least $25K on this facility alone. You guys make plenty of profit. Raising rates so grossly at a time where so many people are struggling is a direct reflection on the kind of people you are. I stand by my review. Giving you 3 stars is more than you deserve.

I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. Within the 1st week I had to go to our storage only to find water had drops on the hood, deck lid / trunk and the top of our vehicle that were bigger then a silver dollar. I had brought it the the attention of Melissa at the office that says its condensation. I was offereda plastic covering for my vehicle but what would be the pointof renting a inclosedstorage. Melissa and I had taken pictures of the damage due to the water that was dripping where the screws are screwed in to the aluminum sheet metal roofing directly above my vehicle. This issue was happening constantly as it would rain or snow and as the snow would melt. I had asked if the screws had a sealant to keep the water from entering my storage unit. Melissa said that she will contact the maintenance and have them check. The office staff was appoliget and said that we would need to file a claim with the insurance of the storage facility. My wife had done all the necessary forms along with pictures but only to get the run around between the storage facility and there insurance companie. On 1/30/2025 I had gotten a call from the insurance company telling my that there is no structure damage so my car will not be getting fixed the the insurance company of lakeside storage. On 1/312025 I had received a call from the office at lakeside storage telling me that the owner said she is not responsible to the damaged paint on my vehicle. On April 1/2025 I had talked to the maintenance guy that had said he had fixed the roof in January. This is a business that does not care about your belongings that you have worked so hard for. I strongly believe that your property should come out of a inclosed storage, in the same condition it gone in the storage. The owner has conditioned the office staff to say anything that would keep them from paying for any damages to anyone's property as they said " its condensation ". Because they say its condensation they refuse to take responsibility of your damaged property. I would highly recommend anyone who is at lakeside storage to find a professional storage facility. DO NOT rent from aaa lakeside storage unless you want your property damaged. As a residence of Provo we should NOT allow businesses like this to stay in business that have zero integrity/ honesty. As you see the property and how much the owner of lakeside storage appreciates her property, she only wants your money. She will not worry about your damaged belongings or help to make it right for the renters. Very poor business owners

I love this location as it's a great location close to everything. The building is clean, and everything was in the right place. Nothing scattered or out of sorts when I visited. The gal who helped me was courteous and friendly. I did have a pretty easy transaction, mailing a 2-day priority package, which will reach its destination in 3 days, without unforeseen delays (keeping fingers crossed with COVID still being crazy). I did come here mid day (between lunch and dinner time) so there was no after work rush or lunch rush that I ran into. I'll definitely be coming back to this location based on my experience today. And they are also currently hiring!
