The hand saw
Ang P.

Our neighbors raved about Skyline Ranch Tree farm. So the next weekend we drove up the winding hills of skyline on a lovely mild weathered day. The views and majestic redwood trees were a prelude to our adventure. When we arrived at the gate a person in a booth handed us a cutting saw and told us to park ahead and hike around and cut our own tree, One price for any tree . The tree farm asks customers to cut two branches up from the bottom so that a new tree can grow. It's a very good thing .. The cutting saw was easy to use and we brought home a beautiful tree we easily put in our back seat when we put the chairs down. We love our tree and best of all we hiked today , enjoyed nature and brightened up our 2020 ..

Family tradition still going strong. Almost as strong as I am for being able to throw this kid!

Wonderful staff!! Great for getting outdoors and cutting your own tree down. Lots of space, beautiful trees!! Wonderful prices!! Other tree lots are complete rip offs! Come prepared to have a great time!

The entire staff was extremely friendly! They give you a saw at the entrance, then you can easily park anywhere, wander around and pick your favorite tree! Payment is due upon exit. Here are some tips for your 2018 tree: - Hours: 9.00am-4:30pm during weekdays and 8.00am-4.30pm on weekends (you can give them a call to double-check) - Price: $65.00 per tree, any size (sales tax included) - Payment: Cash or Checks ONLY - Options: Netting ($3.00 per tree) and Stands ($20+ depending on the size) Happy Holidays!

We came here for the first time on Saturday and it is amazing! Gorgeous trees for miles and everyone who works at the farm is extremely kind and friendly. It is $68/tree and they do provide a saw and rope for convenience. Just bring some tarp and a car you can toss the tree on and you'll be good to go. Highly recommend! Much better (and cheaper) than your typical tree lots!

This was such a great experience! We definitely want to come back next year. It's a great socially distanced activity and there are so many beautiful trees to choose from.

Family tradition every year! Easy to get to, gorgeous drive, clean, friendly folks, beautiful grounds, and the trees are simply perfect! All you need to do is drive in, grab your saw, and pick your tree. Easy and fun!

My family and I have been going to cut down our Christmas trees at Skyline Ranch ever since I can remember. It has always been a tradition to get up early on a Saturday or Sunday morning, make some hot cocoa, get all bundled up, and drive out to Skyline Ranch on the twisty roads of Highway 35 listening to Christmas carols the whole way. When you arrive, you are greeted warmly (this is a family owned and operated business since 1958) and given a saw and directions about where to park and how many branches to leave on the stump when you saw down your tree. Then you can have at it!! There are many acres of trees, and it is up to you to pick your perfect jem for the year. The price this year (2009) was $55 for one tree. A great family tradition to start if you haven't already!!
