Like any surgery you have a consultation first - which makes sense - it's a big decision. I wanted to meet Dr. Black first, and I immediately liked and trusted him. He explained the surgery and what the recovery would be like. I paid for the consultation but my insurance (minus deductible) paid for my surgery since it helped improve my vision. His staff is very efficient. They walk you through the insurance process, they handle all of the paperwork and then when you are approved they call to schedule your appointment. The recover was not hard at all, much less painful then I was expecting. I believe Dr. Black has better skills than most eye surgeons and I had only a small incision and stitch after he was done. On October 9, 2020. I had surgery a second time; this time an attempt was made to correct scarring and the excess skin. The picture is of the right breast. Dr Sosa said that he could further correct the issue and convinced me to have liposuction on my back, as well. I had surgery a third time in February 2022. The photos show what I was left with at the hands of this doctor. I left a review on his Facebook page, www. Facebook.com/SosaPlasticSurgery in an attempt to alert those seeking to have plastic surgery by him, that my outcome was not what I expected, nor should have expected after three attempts. I've been left feeling deformed and humiliated. Their practice removed my review, as well as their review tab on their Facebook page. I left a comment under one of his posts with photos, those were removed and I was blocked, I find this very, very upsetting. Why would a practice try to hide these things from the people that seek them out and trust them?! How many more failed attempts at surgery did this doctor have, and how many bad reviews were deleted? The woman up front told me I wasn't going to make it and that we would have to reschedule. I explained to her I would like to keep my appointment as it was 9 15 and I was unsure how the traffic would move, she began to scream at me about how she wasn't going to compromise Dr sosas schedule which I clearly wasn't expecting anyone to do. I simply was trying to explain that i would like to continue to try and come and if it was getting too close I would then cancel. While she was screaming at me she also said he needed to be out of the office by 10 15, I asked why she would schedule me for 10 if he needed to be out by 10 15 which she proceeded to stumble out a response that made no sense. I'm sure he does great work but his staff just cost a loss of about 20k, extremely unprofessional and rude! I've since taken my business to Ann Arbor plastic surgery which has been much more pleasant!
