I had called a couple of times inquiring about my service and confirmed on the cost ($229 for brake fluid change and tire rotation). Visalia Kia was also willing to accept and offer me a discount on a competitor's coupon. I arrived shortly before 8 AM and was supported by service agent JL after a couple of minutes, once he was finished talking on the phone with a customer. Since I was coming from Fresno, I needed to know the length of the service (brake fluid change and tire rotation) so that I can plan out my day (whether I would need to stay at the dealership or get picked up; their shuttle only drives 20 miles out). Based on a prior conversation M on the phone, the service was estimated at 2-3 hours; JL confirmed this after I explained what I was in for. Once I checked in, I made myself comfortable in their waiting room. They have a room with a TV and four sofa chairs. In between two of the chairs is a setup where customers can charge their electronic device using their provided charging cables (which can probably support Apple and Android products). There is an adjacent room with two tables and three chairs each and vending machines for snacks and drinks. On the side, connecting both rooms, is a walkway that leads to a room with complimentary coffee and popcorn, a restroom, and a room for paying for services. JL updated me about three times on the status of my vehicle, once before it was driven into the service area (a little after 9 am) and twice after it was being serviced (the last time was around 9:45 am to let me know how much longer it would be until the service was done). My car was finished and I checked out around 10:30 am. The actual service time was about 45 mins to 1 hr, but most importantly, I was out of the dealership about 30 minutes before the estimated time to service the car. Finally, they gave me a $10 discount, part of them honoring a competitor's coupon. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience with Visalia Kia. Despite Visalia being about 40 minutes out from Fresno, their hospitability, attentiveness, and transparency made the drive and entire interaction worth it. All of this after I told them I had a hard deadline of 2:45 for pick up so I could get my kids from school. This week I made the drive to Clovis Kia for service instead. They told me one of the issues kia Visalia identified is covered under warranty(of course they didn't bother to tell me that)... Do yourself and favor and make the drive. It's worth it!

This is a bunch of guys walking around luxury car dealerships in Visalia, CA and taking photos, then selling the pictured vehicles using the closed dealer's name. See the pictures of the scammers in the reflection of the cars. The FBI, and other national investigative agencies are working on this and have been notified.

Even though I already had financing secured, the dealership was persistent about running my credit again to try to get me a "better deal." I repeatedly declined because I was satisfied with my preapproval. I was then told that my preapproval was not sufficient and that I would need to obtain a check directly from my bank, despite being told by my bank that the preapproval should be enough. I had no issue doing that, but because it was a weekend, it took three days to get the check and return to finalize the purchase. After three days of knowing I would be returning to pick up the vehicle, the dealership handed me the keys, but the car had not been washed or detailed. The vehicle was also delivered with almost no fuel. While I understand a full tank is not required, I expected the vehicle to be better prepared for pick-up. Nearly three months after purchasing the vehicle, I still had not received my license plates. I called the dealership twice and was told both times that it could take up to 90 days to receive them. Two weeks before my temporary plates were set to expire, I contacted the DMV and was informed that the dealership had not completed the necessary paperwork. It is now July, and I ultimately had to go to the DMV myself to resolve the issue. I had to pay an additional $28 out of pocket to obtain my license plates. The DMV clerk informed me that the dealership had reported the original license plates as lost, which required replacement plates to be issued. I initially did not want to leave a negative review, but after dealing with multiple issues throughout the purchase process, the registration delays, and the additional time and expense required to resolve the situation myself, I believe it is important for potential customers to be aware of my experience when considering this dealership.
