Chicken tenders
Michael H.

Me and my family went to skyline chili in Gahanna and it was an awful experience. The waitress never smiled once. She never came back asked if we needed anything or ever gave us a refill on our drinks. I ordered the chicken tenders for my son, and they brought me out or look to be scraps of chicken and only one tender, I complained to management and he said this is how it is, because it's based on weight. I ordered the chili cheese coney and all the cheese melted and it was not hot. It was just a terrible experience. Would NOT recommend.

Skyline Chili 1350 Stoneridge Dr, Gahanna, OH 43230 Corporate owned, skimp on chili, do not know how to make a coney, skimp on Portions. Find an individually owned (Olentangy River Road) for better portions and service. They need to be the new training location. Gahanna location did good when they first reopened, but it has been embarrassing the past many months, when I took visiting Skyline loving guests over last three visits. I grew up in Cincinnati, and I believe the founding owners and their families, would be greatly disappointed with what we have experienced in Gahanna, and a couple of other locations.

Dont tell anyone i was here, especially my Dr. Good eats!

Skyline coneys are an every once in a while luxury. Today was the day. Every time I go I think I'm at a Cincinnati Bengals NFL game. Awesome table service at this location. Thanks for that.

Wow! I was craving Skyline. You have no idea how much you miss it when you move to another state. I was greeted by my server, Tyler. He was friendly and kept my Pepsi filled. I was very pleased with how the crew got along. They operated like a well oiled machine. My chili coney dog was perfectly prepared puked high with cheese yum!! I also had to have a small 3 way skyline chili. Such a perfect size for lunch with a coney dog. Yes!! I loved the mountain of cheese on that too. They establishment was clean, people were promptly seated and attended to. Food was sheer perfection. Thanks so much for Tyler checking on me through my visit. I was really thirsty. I was so glad that I popped in for lunch. I shall return when I'm back in town.

As it turns out Skyline Chili is a must try when visiting Ohio. As a California native I didn't quite get it at first, but I would be lying if I didn't say I've been craving it since I got home. Basically, this is an experience that consists of a lot of cheddar cheese and chili piled on to many different things - burgers, hot dogs, noodles and even fries. I mean you really can't go wrong with all these cheese! My favorite and one of their most popular dishes is the chili over noodles - 3 Ways. The Coney's are also a must try - they steam the hotdog bun and make the dogs special. The chili itself is very unique to the mid west - it has a strong hint of cumin for sure. The staff is very nice and the service is fast. This location also has a drive through. If you're new to town or just haven't been - give these guys a try!

I love Skyline! I'm a Cincinnati native so when the food is done right, this place rocks. My review is specifically for this location which seems to have taken a nose dive on service and quality food because my last three visits here have not been great. Dining in our poor server was the only one working, he was slammed. We understood the situation, but instead of accepting it, the server kept messing up, not listening to orders, and making excuses for the situation. I hope that he learns how to deal with pressure and make the best out of a clearly crappy situation. Like remembering to bring the check with food instead of making multiple trips or checking out multiple customers at once so they're not waiting on you while you service everyone else. The last two visits were through the drive-thru and literally they have stopped putting chili on anything. I've pictured a chilito and chili cheese sandwich, both of which chili is the star and you can see there is none. They've added cheese which is great, but the ratio is way off. Maybe there is a chili shortage? Worst of all, my last visit - they not put onions on my coneys which I did not ask for, but they LOADED them on... yuck! Please do better Skyline!

So they get rounded up to 4 rather than down to 3. Dog people does two things: hot dogs with lots of toppings and fries with lots of toppings. They're both good, with room for some improvement. Start with the fries. I had the poutine, which was a perfect rendition of what poutine should be: a heaping mound of hot fresh french fries, smothered in tons of gravy, loaded with cheese curds. I know poutine is all the rage these days, and certainly comes dressed up with fancy flourishes elsewhere. But this is the heart of what poutine is: rich. flavorful. comforting. The fries themselves, while cooked to perfection and piping hot, were nothing overly special. They seemed to be of the fairly standard frozen variety. Next the dog. I had mine with slaw, siracha, and added bacon. The slaw was quite good. It had great flavor and there was plenty of it. The downside was that it obscured some of the other flavors. If I were to order it again, I'd probably ask for extra siracha and maybe forego the bacon (most of the bacon flavor was obscured anyway, so might as well be a little healthier, right?). The folks running the truck were super nice, and the food came out incredibly quickly. The latter is no small feat, and it's one of the things that made them stand out. It's definitely something to remember if you're in a rush or trying to choose between multiple trucks.

But I have to say that was possibly the absolute worst chili I've had in my entire existence, it was like it said at the bottom of a cooker burning all day. Literally, it was horrible!!!! so my craving for chili still hasn't been satisfied therefore tonight I'm getting Wendy's. Lol Make burger tasted fantastic however I can't understand while it is a junior size, but a full price? A price of $6.29 for a tiny burnt chili is just being greedy. As you can see in the past, I have given great reviews, but I think this time they've lost me. Sorry guys.

They take Gingerale and add either cherry grape or orange flavoring to it to create their Ohio, Californian, or Florida drink. I was going to get a Cali boy and some loaded tots as well. I pulled into the lot right in front of the car door in the car. Hop must've been eating. He was hunched over so all you could see is his rear end and his back. He wasn't looking out the windows or anything. He was looking towards the floor facing the kitchen. There he stayed for at least two or three minutes. I decided it wasn't worth waiting and didn't feel like beeping my horn so I went to Wendy's I swear the district manager needs to surprise their staff on a regular basis because there is a disconnect from corporate policies down here they walk to the cars rarely run and they just don't pay attention to their lot... And they wonder why their lot is consistently empty This is why On a rear occasion, you will get a really great carhop that's working along with a good kitchen manager and the food is spot on, but unfortunately, it's usually staffed by lazy people who messed up the orders leave out things or flat out. Just don't even care to work like this one did. If you're looking for Swensons, I'd say stick to the Akron based area and avoid all the Columbus locations because rumor has it the staff rotates throughout all of the different locations versus having a regular staff. I think that's part of the problem. It's just really weird how bad it often is and it's disappointing just as often . I should've given it one star But I just really love Swensons and just couldn't do it.

Finally, I went up to the counter, only to be told that there were " 2 more orders" ahead of ours. So, the valuable lesson .... Shake Shack rewards the turnover of orders and so ... large orders languish as small orders that can be turned quickly get filled first. There are actually 2 queues .. go figure. Anyway, service for us was horrible but there will be 10 others who were satisfied. Not sure that's fair but, then again, who said life is fair. In the end, the shake was good so, I'll survive. Just remember your order strategy next time. Ciao!

All of the items on the menu looked appealing to me, but the menu needs work. It has items on it without any description of the items. For example, my turkey sub had banana peppers on them. I like banana peppers, but I know a lot of people who don't and can see that being an issue. I ordered online through the business DoorDash partnership, which created a cold interaction with the person working there. He kept telling me to show him that I accepted the order on DoorDash, and asked if it was my first day since I couldn't find the button. I then told him that I ordered the food for myself and his demeanor changed completely and was extremely nice and gave me the order. I have heard of DoorDash people scamming businesses so I understand his caution, but it could have been handled better. It would probably be best if he just asked if it's a carry-out or a DoorDash order. The inside is essentially just a giant kitchen and counter, so carry-out is also the only option. I ordered a turkey sub, coney, and a side of coleslaw. The order was completed in 9 minutes, so keep that in mind if you have a far drive. The food was very good. Probably one of the best conies I have had. It was all very warm and flavorful and had the right balance of everything. If I'm in the area I'd like to try more of their menu.
