Service was excellent. Food was fantastic. I had pork tacos, my husband had brisket tacos, my son had the chicken quesadillas, other son had a sandwich and salad and daughter had a house salad. Ranch dressing was delicious and everything was flavorful. For dessert we tried the blueberry custard, wedding cake, cookies and cream cake, and strawberry shortcake cheesecake. All great choices. Great lunch. I had pork quesadilla with cole slaw. My wife had a sandwich. I took off a star because she is very allergic to tomatoes. She requested her first choice of sandwich not to have tomatoes. However, our server informed her they couldn't remove tomatoes from her choice. She said she could pick them off. My wife made another choice. We both had desert,both were great. read more

We came in with high hopes after hearing so many great things. But we were seated outside and waited 20 minutes without seeing a waitress offering us even a water while we waited while it was hot. I'm not sure if it was because we were on the patio, they were under staffed or because we had a person of darker complexion in the group. Leslie is not known to be the most welcoming to people that aren't white and we feel like that was the root cause. We left. Won't return. read more

We were coming back from Branson and saw the good reviews for here. They did not lie! We had the Cuban, which I could eat everyday! The meat tasted amazing and was paired with the pickles and mustard perfectly. We shared the tacos, again the meat was perfect. They were assembled to look fancy, but tasted better than expected. Try the Hummingbird Cake, its like banana bread and spice cake had a baby. The building is like a cute old house that has a comfortable feel. This is not a cooperate establishment, so don't expect lots of staff to wait on you. There is a handful of tables in each of the 3 rooms. But the ladies who run it will treat you good. A very quaint Cafe which highlights fresh produce of the season, never-frozen, rather homemade food which is very tasty. The pies are always homemade as well as the cakes and various other desserts. The price is mid-range I would say, the servings rather large as every time I've gone there I brought back a doggy bag :-), but the service is excellent and always served with a smile and a HomeTown feel. Wonderful experience here March of 2021 on a family vacation. The staff was extremely pleasant and courteous and the food was wonderful. If they have it available, I definitely recommend the Hummingbird Cake for dessert. It was my first time having it and I think it's my new favorite. Headed home from vacation and stopped here for lunch with 10 people in our group. I felt like i was stepping foot into my great grandmothers house. This hamlet is a foodie mecca with wonderful wood fired sourdough bakery across the street. I've given up on gluten but know good baking when I smell it. We will be back. while it looks super cute on the outside, there was a list of things wrong: no heat, the menu states no modifications (not kid friendly!), the waitress was eh, etc. dont get the chicken sandwich, it was overstuffed, even the 3 roma tomatoes were 3 inches tall, with absolutely no way to eat it correctly, even though you wouldn't necessarily want to because of the gross chunky chicken. i thought that was supposed to be a sandwich but i used a fork. the soup was watery, with only the small taste of hard shredded cheese. all in all, it took an hour and 30 minutes to get food and leave. why? i have no clue. others left because of the strict menu and long wait time. sorry to say, but i would never recommend this. read more
