DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE. Epidomy of a hidden gem. It is located in a house with a small side parking lot. Everything about this place was amazing. The service, the food, the drinks, the dessert. We got greeted by a friendly host that got us seated right away. When our waitress came she shared they were having a bloody mary special, that were glad we tried. It was a very good. We tried the spinach cheese dip, the ham + Jack, and the turkey + avocado. They were all delicious. Make sure you save room for dessert. If you don't, order some to go. read more

Went here after floating the Buffalo and it did not disappoint! I got their special of the day - carbonara and it was really good. Other people in my group got the nachos and sandwiches all of which looked really good. It was a little busy when we got there so the service was a tad slow but still great overall. The restaurant is in an old house with a bunch of vintage decor which was one of my favorite parts. They also have a bunch of dessert options. Tammy, Jill, Cason and I stopped by Skylark for lunch on our way to Branson for a weekend trip. Skylark is one of our favorite restaurants, and we try to stop here every time we come through Leslie. The restaurant is in a renovated older house, tastefully decorated in a colorful, hip vibe. They offer indoor and outdoor dining, and we usually try to be seated on the screened back porch. Our server was friendly and attentive and took care of all our needs. All our entrees were delicious, as usual, but I will focus on my entree. I ordered the large Guacamole and tortilla chips for an appetizer, which was large enough for the four of us. Everything is house made, and I believe the tortilla chips are, as well. My entree was the Hickory Smoked Pork Tacos. You can order 2 or 3. Each is composed of a double layer of soft corn tortillas, which keeps them from falling apart like other tacos can, filled with their smoked pork and a variety of other fillings. Very delicious and prepared perfectly! At the bottom of the menu is a statement that the tacos are perfect as is, but they will modify them if you wish. But, they jokingly state they will talk smak about you in the kitchen. This restaurant is highly recommended, and we look forward to the next time! read more

We had the Pulled Pork green chile tacos and the ribeye nachos. Both dishes had layers and layers of flavor the complimented each other. Absolutely one of the most cutest places I have been to in a long time and you can tell that they take pride in everything that they do here from the decor to the food to the desserts and the drinks. If you were around the area definitely take a minute to stop in even if it's just for a slice of pie!! They have been making homemade margaritas that night and I had to so delicious which one I had one now. my husband had the pork tenderloin special with green beans and sweet potatoes that were cooked to perfection. The food is fabulous. This chicken sandwich makes my mouth water thinking about it. Same thing with the coconut pie. The meringue is to die for. Food is ultimately 5 stars. We stopped here from Little Rock on our way to Branson. It was a Thursday afternoon and the parking lots were full. That's a good sign. We had a small wait so we walked over to the shop next door. Lovely little restaurant tucked away in Leslie. It's become a destination dining place for my family on trips to Arkansas. The restaurant is in an old house and decorated with eclectic art. It feels like my mom's house without the clutter. Beautiful pies and cakes greet you at the entrance. They offer a wide variety of soft drinks, sweet tea, mixed srinks,craft beer and lagers. This place comes highly recommended by my mother! So I was running in for a late lunch. By late I mean 2:50! The staff was very friendly and helpful. French onion soup was homemade and has a very rich flavor. Walnut salad was fresh, grilled chicken was cooked perfectly and was very moist, candied walnuts and crasins added just enough sweetness. What a wonderful drive up Hwy 65 (greatly improved! ) to the charming town of Leslie. And for me, the Skylark Cafe is my favorite destination.
