I was in Langely and decided to get my hair permed. I am in my 70's and have never had my hair permed. I have very thick course hair, and I have been used to walking into a salon, and the look that each staff member gives to each other, like, "You go not me" i stand there and wait for who is going to do my hair. But not at Skye Hair Salon, right away I was made to feel very important. Alicia had no hestation at all. She did a beautiful job and also made me feel relaxed. I came away feeling great, and my family and friends could not get over the difference in my hair, in fact 3 other seniors ask about where i got it done, and now they want to come to Alicia too. I felt right away, without a doubt that she just knew what to do with my hair, and that is what seniors want to feel when getting hair done. I cant wait for my hair to grow out so I can come in and have another perm. Good job Alicia read more

After reading your reviews, I went to Susan for a cut. My hair is very fine and if not cut properly, it's a lot of work to keep looking good, often ended up trimming my own hair to make it easier to manage. Susan did a wonderful job, so happy to have found her! My husband's barber recently retired, and he's now going to Susan as well -- he's absolutely ecstatic with the results. While we're not wearing matching sweatsuits yet, we'll both be seeing Susan on a regular basis. read more

I have been going to Skye for a few years now and I am happy to recommend this salon. Susan, the owner initially fixed a very butchered haircut that I had done at a different salon, it was a miracle she was able to make my hair look so much better. I have stuck with Susan ever since, she's patient, highly skilled and friendly. I've had haircuts, balayage, snd threading. I have also had my hair done by Diane and she did a great job as well. I highly recommend this salon! read more

I highly recommend the Skye Hair salon. I stopped by as a walk in and after chatting about my requirements for a haircut/style with the manager, Susan, I felt confident about getting a good cut, so I took a chance. I have very fine hair which is sometimes difficult to cut properly. Susan listened to how I wanted it cut and then proceeded to do exactly as requested. I will definitely return for my haircuts in the future. read more

I'm not saying that will always be the case, but they did squish her in between some other appointments and made it happen, which really made our day! The owner is extremely friendly and professional; their covid protocol is great and he did ask me to leave a few times because they were at capacity and I was just a guest (which I totally don't mind because I respect their adherence to the rules). Watching them interact with us and other customers, you can tell they treat everyone with the same curiosity, respect, and thoroughness. They are great at what they do, friendly, and accommodating. My girlfriend's request was met positively despite it's complexity; I have definitely gone to other salons who tell you they're busy when they don't want to deal with you. This was one of the worst professional haircut experiences I have had in my life, if not the worst…read more This is regarding the Abbotsford Sevenoaks Mall location, service on May 9, 2026. I explicitly told Sandy, my stylist, that I wanted to keep my hair long and trim 1/4" off all the way around, definitely no more than 1/2" (in case she was inaccurate), thus the reference point was 1/4", just make it even and cut stray lengths. I wanted to keep my long waves on the sides which covered most of my ears. She first used electric trimmers and in the beginning two passes she took off 3/4" off the left side over my ear. I immediately told her nicely to stop, that was too much and I was not happy. I reached down to the floor to get my hair she cut off and I showed it to her. I estimated 3/4" because I know dimensions as a woodworker. She was sad and apologized. I told her my girlfriend wants me to have my wavy hair over my ears. Now it was gone. This was significant because my girlfriend lives overseas, and she could only see me for less than a week. As she continued, the stylist further erred by telling me what my haircut should be, with hair only barely over the tops of my ears. I had to correct her again! I told her that 'no, you need to cut what the customer wants'. She knew she failed. I complained calmly and respectfully to the manager, who was very concerned and cordial, and told her that I did not tip because of the bad cut, and that I would not be returning to Chatters. The manager apologized and offered a refund, but I refused it. I told her that I was brought up and learned that if you get bad service in a haircut, you pay for it, yet it does not require you to do business with them again. Also, in some circumstances I believe that if you refuse a refund, you keep your power of complaint as a customer.
