I went from having long hair from just above my butt to a super cute angled bob. Jeannette was so precise with the cut and made sure both sides matched. The cut was gorgeous. I wanted to tip for my service 15 percent ( which I thought was well deserved), and the…read morereceptionist at the front said that 20% is what is always given by others. I did tip the 20% but who says that? Let's go over Etiquette- Tip is deserved. 15% is the normal 20% if it is more deserved- Will I go back again? No. Never. Will I refer anyone here after my tipping issue? No! Why? Because according to the receptionist, 20% is what is given by mostly everyone. If this is expected, than I expect a skinny vanilla latte as soon as I walk in:)

I didn't want to drive to Vancouver and so I went on online and found Splash. Nikki did a good job with my hair. She made some slight adjustment to it and she explained to me why before she started. She is very good with her job. The place is clean and location is not bad. The best part is that there are plenty of free parking. They are somewhat hidden. Splash came up and we called them to see if they had any availability. Right away they were able to fit her in. I'm not saying that will always be the case, but they did squish her in between some other appointments and made it happen, which really made our day! The owner is extremely friendly and professional; their covid protocol is great and he did ask me to leave a few times because they were at capacity and I was just a guest (which I totally don't mind because I respect their adherence to the rules). Watching them interact with us and other customers, you can tell they treat everyone with the same curiosity, respect, and thoroughness. They are great at what they do, friendly, and accommodating. My girlfriend's request was met positively despite it's complexity; I have definitely gone to other salons who tell you they're busy when they don't want to deal with you. Their location is great for wheelchairs and there is tons of parking nearby.

I've been a client at Ivory for about 3 years now and my experience has always great. Being a mom of 2 I look forward to my hair appointments days in advance... I can't wait to get there to chat with the girls and enjoy a coffee that they always make so well. I've had many different cuts and colours done which I always left feeling fresh and pretty, just how a girl wants to feel after getting her hair done. I've never been very good at styling my hair so a huge bonus for me is how the girls always show me simple step by step ways for me to maintain my style at home. My husband also get's his hair cut by Shannon who is fantastic! They also carry many high end hair products at reasonable prices including my fav Kevin Murphy! I've recommended Ivory to many of my friends and family who are now clients! (some of them even drive all the way out to White Rock from Vancouver). I highly recommend this White Rock gem of a salon to anyone looking for professional stylist to care for their hair
