Husband & I went on Sunday for our first jump and it was AMAZING! At first I was nervous and apprehensive because we were the ONLY people of color there and it's out in Toledo, Wa... (if you know, you know) But with that being said we arrived, got checked in met out instructors and I was immediately placed at ease! CAM was AMAZING! I was scared to death but he talked and walked me through every moment. 16000 feet above ground and having my legs dangle over the opening of the plane was an incredible experience and when we rolled out it was mind blowing! All I can say "Is Go To Skydive Toledo" you won't regret the experience! We're planning our next trip cause now our grown children and their spouses want to go! It's an AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Not my first jump, but my first here. My son came from Seattle, & I Portland, so we decided to try this place out. We had a really great experience. It's not terribly far from either direction & totally worth it. This drop zone is stunning. Unbeatable mountain views!! We didn't go up at our appointment time, but hey we came to have a good time, not to sweat the details. If you research or know anything about the sport, weather matters. Give yourself plenty of time and just enjoy it!!! We paid for some footage, happily. The staff were all very kind, informative, and inviting. I would definitely recommend Toledo for anyone considering it, first timer or not!! The outstanding views and professionalism/passion of the staff cannot be beat! I purchased a gift certificate for my daughter to sky dive here (for Christmas). Last week she chose to use it and had the time of her life. I went with her to watch (after watching, I know I will jump next time). They were so professional and organized, from start to finish. They focused on safety, rightfully so, and were extremely thorough. The staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. My daughter had an amazing experience and felt super safe the entire time. She purchased the video and stills they offer and was so glad she paid the extra to have the memory of her first jump. Watching my daughter and her tandem instructor land was so cool, there is a viewing area close by, so I watched her drift to the ground and land as gently as a feather. Great experience. My partner and I were extremely lucky to catch a break in rain so we went up during our scheduled time. The weather wasn't as welcoming for the group after us, who had to wait for safer conditions. The instructors were informational, friendly, and communicative throughout the entire processl I never once felt unsafe. I am really thankful for the my first solo skydive on a static line that I did here in June 2014. It was after this jump I was 100 percent sure I wanted to be a licensed skydiver; and just licensed last month in Eloy, AZ. Thanks guys for my first jump and first jump course and thankful for that groupon. Nervous nelly here, had a blast! They made it fun even though they were making fun of me for being scared. I'm afraid of planes and heights! So I was super nervous. It was like a bandaid- out the plane. Did some very scary rolls and I screamed the entire freefall. Once the chute was pulled it was a glorious smooth ride down. Such an amazing experience. If you guys are addicted to the adrenaline rush just like I am, definitely give this place a shot! I found a groupon online which was about ~100 something for a static line jump, which is where you jump out all by yourself. The parachute automatically deploys for you after like 3 seconds so all you really need to worry about is getting yourself out of the plane lol. The class itself consists of a few hours of safety videos, precautions, etc. I'll admit that the 3-4 hours of instruction was a drag but totally understandable because skydiving is serious stuff. Don't be a dumbass, pay attention in class and you'll have the time of your life! read more

My girlfriend bought my best friend and I a groupon deal for a static line jump for my brithday, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. We went up on a Sunday for the class, which was exactly what I needed in that situation. The instructor took his job very seriously, was charismatic, and had some comic relief that was much needed given the seriousness of the whole "you may die" thing. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating, but that's out of their control. We came back two weeks later, hoping the same instructor would be there. He wasn't, but the other one was, and rebriefed us, made sure we retained the necessities, and 30 minutes later we were headed up. Both instructors were great. They clearly have a passion for the sport, as well as an understanding of the importance of safety. Only possible negative point... both times... I heard Creed on the radio while waiting. One Suggestion for them... they should mount a camera on the wing of the plane and allow a basic video package for the static line. read more

went there for the first jump. The actual jumping was fun. But I would say the facility is kind of old and not maintained well. The worst thing I do not like is the attitude of the female manager. The instructor also has a bossy attitude. And the other point was that those people working there packing the parachutes look like meth head. I feel can not put too much trust no them. Decided to mark off an item from my bucket list, sky diving. Being afraid of heights, I didn't know how I would do with jumping out of a perfectly good plane. My friend and I decided to face our fears and do a static line jump at Skydive Toledo. I am quite glad that we chose this place. Everyone was really nice, and the instructors were super informative and made the whole process great. The area is picturesque and worth the short drive from Portland (about an hour north). What an amazing experience we had!!! My dad and I did a static line jump. We went through the training class with Jeff who was excellent. I got into the class and about half way through was like there is no way I'm going to be jumping by myself. I did jump but Jeff was very serious in the class which was needed because skydiving isn't just all fun and games especially static jumping. I loved every minute of it. I just remember getting into the plane and thinking again, man there is no way I can jump from this plane. Sure enough, I jumped. I did some fun tricks in the air thanks to the guys on the ground radioing us. I had a blast!!!!!!!! I recommend it to everyone. I promise you won't regret it! read more

I don't know what possessed me to jump out of a perfectly operational airplane.. but it was my boyfriend's 40th birthday so what the hell. Bought the Groupon deal (static line jump for $125.00) and briefly wondered if I had lost my sanity. Took a 3-4 hour class with Jeff who was informative and very personable. A couple of hours later I was staring out the open door of a tiny, one prop plane and wondering again if I had lost my sanity. Climbing out and hanging off of the wing strut before letting go was the hardest part of the "jump" by far. A few seconds of free fall and my chute opened smoothly. The ride down was amazing; the view of the mountains and surrounding farmland incredible on a sunny Saturday. I had no trouble following the radio operator's instructions to guide the chute into the designated field for a nice, safe landing. I can't say that I'd go again now that I've marked it off the bucket list but I did enjoy it a lot more than I thought :) Class starts at 9:00 am and you probably won't end up jumping until 2 or 3 as another reviewer mentioned so make sure and bring snacks and beverages. Also, restroom facilities are limited.. one outhouse and another "real" restroom in another building on the premises. read more

Where do I start!! What an awesome day at skydive Toledo. Both me and my gf did a static line jump from a groupon. Our instructor was Jeff and he is a very cool guy making us feel comfortable and right at home for our first jump. The class is long but well worth it to bring u up to speed on all the do's and don'ts of jumping. I recommend bringing a lunch or snack since it could be till 2 or 3 till its ur turn to go. All equipment was taken care of and in top notch shape so we felt perfectly safe. We will definitely be back when our adrenaline comes down wooo hooo go skydive Toledo well done guys. read more

Place is run like a party, young kids running around playing, jumping over the chain fences and throwing hacky sacks at each other. No rhyme or reason to anything that goes on here. Waited over three hours to jump after have an appointment. Manager gave no explanation as to what was going on until asked when we will be done because we have a dinner appointment which we were informed that it was cloudy this morning so instead of calling and telling us or even letting us know this when we checked in they just pushed everyone back and made us wait. What is the point of having an appointment? We have been skydiving before and this was ran by far worse than any place around the country. I would recommend the views here but that is about it. Need to take the business aspect more seriously. Young kids having water balloon fights and having the run of the place, people who work there dropping the eff bomb in front of children is just not a pleasant environment for any family waiting to watch their loved one jump. The most egregious thing I saw was all their friends and people who jump with them made the planes delayed. I saw planes being delayed so non paying customers could get ready to jump. Also saw a kid get pushed off a plane and made to wait so another employee/ friend could make his jump. Like I said in the beginning, needs to be run like a business and not a party. The customer comes first. You don't make paying customers wait for friends, but unfortunately running a business comes second. having fun, horse play and worrying about partying that night take precedence at this nightmare of a place. read more

Zero integrity, horrible customer service, unethical, disorganized, and look out for hidden fees. I had to call five times to not only schedule appointment for jump, but also confirm it. The person who answered the phone, Dawn, would offer to call back and never did. I called back to make sure everything was set and in order before making the long drive with my group. Finally confirmed (again) that voucher for static can be used for tandem just as I was first told when scheduling: that I could switch the static for the tandem without a problem, so it was a straight switch given that the full price for both is similar (static $209 and tandem $215). I also confirmed the time and number of people in my group. We get there, only to be told that I had to pay the difference between the voucher ($125) and the full price for tandem ($215) even though she acknowledged that she gave me wrong info on the phone. She proceeds to inform me that the voucher is only good for the static and that the deal doesn't apply to the tandem. Essentially, they make a "mistake", acknowledge the "mistake" and still want me to pay for the "mistake." They refused to write off $80 despite the fact that I pointed out to them that I brought them $1300 worth of business that day, with friends who came because of me and who paid full price in addition to photos and video packages. They were counting of the fact that I had already driven 2.5 hours to get there and had all my friends already signed up and told me that "I'd want to experience this, so to just go ahead and pay the difference." My other option was to get a refund offered to me by the owner after the front desk person felt she wasn't getting thru to me. A refund offer would have been nice BEFORE I showed up, not after a 2.5 hours trip. Had I known what kind of people I was dealing with, I would have gladly taken a refund, and not had my friends go there. A refund at that point meant driving 5 hours for nothing. A complete disregard for my time. This felt like a bait and switch and I told them that. Only then, I am given an ultimatum: $30 off or get a refund and told to take my time to think about it. Gee, thanks! If they had told me that I needed to pay extra, I would have come in anyway, knowing exactly what to expect. At the end of the day, it wasn't about the difference I had to pay, it is the fact that I got the wrong information from them and they refused to honor what they told me and handled the entire situation very poorly. I would have still gone ahead and done the tandem at full price if they had been clear and upfront with their fees and tried the static line another time as I still plan to do (DEFINITELY NOT at Skydive Toledo). They have no integrity and are not trustworthy. Note that you will be charged a 3% card processing fee without any notification. Nothing on the website states that. You will NOT be told before or after they charge you that fee. You are not given the option to pay with cash beforehand either. Only if you look at your receipt and ask, will you be told what this fee is (as it is not itemized on the receipt) and given the option to get a refund on your card and pay cash if you don't want to pay the fee - with no cash machine on location. Everyone in my group experienced this. Again, if you knew this beforehand, you get to make the decision to bring cash or WILLINGLY pay the fee. Also, you are not allowed to get a copy of the legally binding document you sign before you jump. Owner says that their lawyer advised against giving a copy to customer. Dawn their front desk person (apparently also a legal expert) explains that this is "their" contract, so they don't have to give it to anyone! She was extremely rude, and stormed off at one point like a 2-year old throwing a tantrum and spent the rest of the time, my group was there, sulking. Even the skydiving instructors stayed away from her to not have to deal with her. Skydiving instructors, on the other hand, were professional, hung out with our group most of the time, they were super friendly, laid back and funny. I would recommend jumping with the instructors if they work anywhere else. My experience with the jump itself was OK. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, NOR would I be a repeat customer. read more
