As a Kansas City Chiefs diehard, staying at the official hotel of the Raiders isn't my finest fan…read moremoment. In my defense, I usually wear my Chiefs gear! I've stayed at M Resort more times than I remember, including when the Chiefs played in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. M Resort and Kansas City's Argosy Casino share a rewards program. I've used food and casino offers at both properties, which gives me another reason to return. Check your offer details for eligible locations. I keep returning because I prefer staying away from the Strip. M Resort sits off Las Vegas Boulevard in Henderson, miles from the crowds. The airport shuttle is another perk. Schedule your ride in advance. The pool area hosts concerts with some great musical guests. Through the rewards program, I've also received offers for free tickets. For me, M Resort offers everything I want: views, warm weather, good food, a pool for relaxing, and a spacious room. My preference is the West Tower. I've seen the newer East Tower rooms. They're nice, but they give more Holiday Inn vibes compared with the experience I enjoy in the West Tower. The biggest difference is space. The West Tower rooms have deep soaking tubs, TV monitors in the bathroom mirrors, double vanities, separate showers, and enclosed toilet areas. They feel significantly larger than the newer rooms. The bathroom setup is a big reason I keep coming back! I've enjoyed the restaurants throughout the resort. There's enough variety to suit different tastes and budgets. The casino is clean and always active, too. M Resort has consistently delivered great stays for me. I recommend the West Tower if you want the spacious room and bathroom amenities described above. Choose the East Tower if those features matter less to you and you still want the resort perks. Chiefs gear encouraged for my Kansas City folks!

The Strip

Great Theater, but Bring a Sweater!…read more The casino is nice, and the location is convenient since it's right in the middle of everything on the Las Vegas Strip. It's a great spot for tourists who want to explore the area, shop, and enjoy the casino. However, I personally would probably only come back for a concert or an event. The casino itself is just so-so, and the layout can be confusing. You can easily get lost trying to find your way around! One bonus for locals is the complimentary self-parking, which is definitely a plus. There are also plenty of upscale retail shops, but most of them were way out of my price range! We went to the theater to watch RAF14, and the theater itself was fantastic. There really isn't a bad seat in the house, which makes it a great venue for watching an event. However, OMG, it was FREEZING inside! Even with my sweater on, I was so cold that it made it a little uncomfortable to enjoy the evening. I understand keeping a venue cool, but this was a bit too much. Overall: The theater is excellent, with great views from the seats, and the location is convenient for visitors exploring the Strip. Just dress warmly if you're attending an event, because the theater can get seriously cold! I'd definitely consider returning for another concert or event, but the casino itself wouldn't be the main reason for my visit.

Let's start with what for me is one of the most important things... the bed. their beds are soooo comfy. I rarely like a hotel bed and have to look for ways to "fix" it to make it comfortable. their beds are wonderful. a perfect level of softness to the mattress, and the sheets are also super soft. the room is spacious and nice. the only negatives for me is the lack of a desk and the fridge is rather small. it worked tho. the bathroom... another wow. very spacious. the tub is HUGE! sooooo deep and quite long. if you're short like me, it's a little hard to relax because of the tub length, but it still makes for an excellent soak. the shower is good. nice size counter, plenty of space. and i love that they have a runner rug in front of the counter. i usually put down a towel, but they're way of ahead of that move. location: if you're going to the westgate or convention center, the location is perfect. it's a quick easy walk to either, or you can take the loop. all in all, 10/10. excellent hotel.

So many things can be said about this property. For me, it's "crowded excellence"…read more There is a lot to love about this place. The beds are some of the best I think I have ever been in. The pillows are soft, the mattress feels like a cloud and the products are really nice and plush. It's no wonder so many people want to stay here. Service overall was good. Our front desk agent Gerard was a highlight. Really friendly and helpful in understanding our benefits we got with our room. Also gave us some recommendations for place to go and try as well. However, we had issues in service among other places in the property, notably the bell desk. We did have about a 2 hour delay before our room was ready so we dropped our stuff with the bell desk. The setup is weird, there is an inside person and people outside. It seems like everything goes through the outside people, we could only drop our stuff with them and pick our stuff up at checkout, we have no idea what the inside guy did except to direct us outside. Also, by the time our room was ready, we couldn't even pick up the stuff at the bell desk, only delivered to the room. It said it would take 15 minutes but we had to call and because it was "so busy" we had to wait almost an hour for it. The massive sprawling casino has a lot of games to play and a lot of different venues for everyone. Minimums are high for table games (as expected) but there is still something for everyone to play. Cocktail service was slow at times, but Sandra was friendly and quick as well as made some delicious cocktails. Overall, it really is a nice property with some great stuff. But it does feel like it doesn't know how to properly control crowds and leaving you like you were truly at a 5 star resort.

There's a separate check-in area for The Reserve which I really liked. It was not crowded at all. Upon checkin, they gave me a coconut macaroon which was amazing! I did like that special touch. There are separate elevators going to the Reserve Rooms. However, it is still shared with some of the upper floors from Park MGM. I know that other hotels on the strip have separate elevators exclusively for separate parts of the hotel. I really enjoyed my Atelier room. It was a little bit larger than the standard room. The distinguishing factor about this room is really the bathtub in the room. However, the bathtub itself seems to be a liability for the hotel. I have to say that someone can easily slip and fall in the bathtub. Use extreme caution when using the bathtub. I loved the European french decor. The toilet was a little far away from the bed, but I suppose that is good if you are traveling with somone so when they went to the restroom, it would be less noticable (more privacy, less noise). Since they are hardwood floors, I can hear chairs being moved around from the rooms above me during my stay. I was a little bit irked. Other than that, my stay was quite enjoyable at The Reserve.

The most unassuming quaint hotel I've ever witnessed…read more It's easy to think that going to Vegas means you have to stay on The Strip--ease of transportation, proximity to the shows, and the ambiance of "the Las Vegas" experience. However, for those of us who come to Vegas often, staying at those hotels often means higher prices and headaches with navigating around the busy traffic. Having stayed at most of the larger hotels (The Luxor, The Bellagio, Encore at Wynn, Park MGM etc) I've had my fill of the dazzling lights and boisterous crowds. I do recommend you try these hotels at least a few times to truly soak in the bustle of Las Vegas night life. For me, I prefer to stay adjacent to, but not within, The Strip. This way, I can have some comfort in a quieter setting and can call an uber at any moment to meet friends along The Strip. This was the reason I chose Nirvana Hotel. Situated right next to The Luxor and The Mandalay Bay, it is both affordable and close to the attractions I come to Vegas for. The exterior is a bit off-putting at first. You aren't greeted with the pristine fountained welcome that you expect from Vegas--the wonderful precession of marble floors, the lush green plants, the ornate chandeliers. The main check-in station is inside the souvenir shop which resembles that of a run down gas station. Service is quick and the check-in process is painless. Their doors all use numbers so you don't have to worry about misplacing your card. Just don't get so drunk you forget! The room itself is very humble: queen bed, LG tv, two night stands, a small fridge, and a walk-in shower. Clean, organized, and arranged professionally. I will definitely stay here again. Connie was at the reception and welcomed me warmly. Parking is free. That's right. FREE. For your entire duration of stay.
