Came here for a quick brunch before a flight from SQL. This place has old school diner vibes and actually gets quite busy. We sat at the counter and placed our order right away. It did take a while for our food to come out, but the wait was mostly worth it. I ordered the chicken caprese sandwich with fries. The whole sandwich was great, and the fresh mozzarella, bread, and pesto really worked well on the chicken. The fries were also good. After eating, it also took a while to pay (we had to wait for our specific waiter to be available at the register) which was kinda annoying but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Flew in to San Carlos airport (KSQL) for some '$100 hamburger' in a form of breakfast from Sky Kitchen. GA pilots: transient parking is right in front of the diner which was very convenient. Sky Kitchen small'ish dining area has the same charm like the rest of other restaurants by an airport which was aviation themed. I must say though, that Sky Kitchen has the best views of airplanes of any in-airport diner I have frown into. Son ordered some Eggs and Bacon breakfast, daughter ordered their hamburger with seasoned curly fries, and I had my usual Chicken Fried Steak. Bacon & Eggs: 3/5. Can mess up what's already great. Burger and Curly Fries: 4/5. Substantial patty and a very proper, delicious curly fries Chicken Fried Steak: 3/5. Good. Nice amount of gravy which is okay as well. All of our eggs were cooked on point (sunny side) which is important for breakfast. Overall, we had a good fly-in breakfast here at Sky Kitchen.

I had high hopes for this place. At first, everything seemed promising, but unfortunately, my experience quickly went downhill. The pork sausage was to spoiled way past it expiration date or was not refrigerated properly. The cheddar cheese on the eggs had to be cut off, and the eggs themselves were somehow both dry and completely lacking in flavor. I'm genuinely hoping I don't get sick after this meal. I brought my concerns to the person who took my order, but they didn't seem concerned, which was even more disappointing. Looking back, I also noticed the coffee pot appeared quite nasty, which only added to my concerns about the overall cleanliness. Based on my experience, if anyone becomes ill after eating here, I would encourage them to seek medical attention and report their concerns to the appropriate local health department. I sincerely hope the restaurant addresses these issues so future customers have a much better experience.

Visited here today 3/9 My daughter and her friends planned out a date for this place. It has a great view for outdoor pictures. Food is good . Pancakes are good . Quesadilla was good, Hash browns aren't seasoned , ladies said it wasn't very flavorful, kind of plain. Service is fine. They get very busy so I imagine it makes it hard to be attentive of tables that need extra sides like mayo , napkins, while at the bar a few customers got up to ask for those type of sides. And servers are on the move the whole time. Food alone is 4/10 Location 10/10 They do have paper signs that inform you due to egg shortage they add 1$ to any egg plate, understandable, but first time seeing this at a restaurant.

Grat casual place to dine for breakfast. Food was hot and tasty. One of the best biscuits and gravy dishes in the bay area.

Was looking for somewhere to brunch, wanted a place to be unique and I came across this spot on Yelp and decided to check it out. It is located right by San Carlo's private charters airport and I thought that was pretty cool. It has plenty of parking and it is very easy to get to and from. The place is neat, clean and highly organized and well maintained. I was greeted warmly by the staff upon entry and was seated immediately. the restaurant itself isn't very big but it could accommodate I think at least 50. It has a pleasant atmosphere, with the view of the airplanes are amazing. You can watch them private charter flights take off and land. My server was really sweet and friendly and as I was offered the menu she was already serving me coffee of my choice. The menu has classic diner menu and I elected for the huevos rancheros with chorizo, I didn't wait long to be serve and when it came it was fresh and smelled good. The plate and serving is huge which is big enough for sharing I thought. It tasted just the way I like it. Overall I enjoyed and will definitely return.

We really liked our overall experience here. We decided to stop by before doing a walking trail in RWC shores. We came around 1:15PM which is close to closing on a Saturday but also a few people come after us, so it's still an ok time to drop by for food. It's a pretty small restaurant located in a building where the San Carlos airplanes are. We loved seeing the airplanes taking off every few minutes and the airplanes coming in to land. Tuna melt: 4.5/5 Denver omelette: 4.5/5 Hash browns: 4.5/5 Toast: 4/5 We will be coming back again for sure. It was a great place to chill, enjoy food, enjoy good company and airplane watch as we sat at a window seat. Service was decent.

I had no idea this place was even here so when our family pulled up for breakfast it was a nice sight to see. We walked in and there and waited for some direction as the waiters moved around the area completing orders. Finally a woman told us to write our name and how many people. We decided to take a seat in the other seating area while we waited and checked out the aircraft's coming and going. My youngest is very much into aircrafts so breakfast and a show was a plus. It was pretty busy so we waited a bit. Once our name was called up we sat down. The tables are incredible close to each other as they try to use every space of the tiny dinning room area. We were greeted by Samuel got our menus and our coffees. I ordered a pancake combo that came with eggs and bacon. My kiddo ordered a pancake, egg, and sausage. Our food came out after a bit and the eggs and bacon were delicious. The pancake was large but a very chewy consistency. I wasn't a fan of the pancake. The flavor and consistency just wasn't there for me. Coffee was good too. My kiddo was also a fan of the eggs. Pancake was in the shape of Mickey Mouse which was cute. Kiddo enjoyed watching the small planes take off as he ate breakfast. You are able to sit outside to see them but it was too cold that morning to be outside. It's a small diner with tables close together and staff that is busily working around the area to take orders and bring out food. The woman who told us to write our names was not incredibly welcoming but Samuel made up for that throughout our entire meal. His service was great and attentive. Once we were all done and needed to clean up we walked over to the restroom by the waiting area. Clean space and able to wash up. We walked outside to enjoy viewing the planes up a little closer and get that sky view. It was really neat and my kiddo was a fan!

This is a great stop right off the freeway if you're driving from San Francisco to San Jose or San Jose to San Francisco. Not a lot of people know about this place and it truly is a hidden gem. The Bacon is delicious and crispy here and coleslaw is pretty good as well. If you love airplanes, this restaurant has a great view of this small airport. I'd recommend bringing guests from out of town here since it's something different. I always love breakfast foods and I love supporting local! Highly recommend. I came at 2pm so will need to come back here again for the breakfast foods.

    Vida L.

Don't be deterred by the aesthetics or lack therof! This hidden gem isn't polished and looks more like a fancy kitchen in a 3rd world country! However, the food is authentic and the quality absolutely scrumptious! Family owned and operated, best Thai cuisine in the region.

I arrived early in the morning, a little past 7 AM. The best part of Sky Kitchen is undoubtedly its setting. It's such a lovely breakfast spot. Perfect for watching the old-school private planes on the runway as the sun rises, painting the sky in brilliant hues. It almost felt like a scene out of Top Gun. Sky Kitchen also has a touch of the "Old Bay Area." Many older folks gather here, offering a glimpse into what the Peninsula community might have been like in the past. It has a small-town feel, where people genuinely greet one another, and different tables join in conversation. I really love that sense of connection. Because I loved the atmosphere SO much, I'm giving this establishment a 4/5. Otherwise, based on the food alone, it would be a 3/5. Unfortunately, my English muffins were burnt, and the food itself was pretty basic. I ordered hash browns and scrambled eggs, and while they were fine, they weren't anything special. I wouldn't come here for the food, but I'd absolutely return for a coffee and to soak in the vibes!

We were prepared to split into two separate tables. The manager took it upon himself to offer a larger table that had a perfect view of a TV. It was so nice of him! We did order split plates (an extra charge) but the kitchen did serve them on split plates, which was nice. The burgers were super juicy and delicious. The fries were served hot and crispy. We did other appetizers of candied bacon which was disappointing. It just tasted like regular bacon. Not especially thick or sweet. That was the only disappointment of the visit. We also ordered the wings which were super delicious! We really enjoyed them. Our server Tanya was so friendly and accommodating. She was amazing. Overall a great experience.

We wanted papusas and Comalito came up with spectacular reviews and was open (at time of writing,…read morethey open Fri-Sun)! Food and service were great. Food ordered: Yucca fries on the house! 1. Plantano Fritas (4/5) I love a plantains and these were delicious and less oily than other which I appreciate! Personal preference is a I prefer a little more sweetly caramelized plantains, but I did really enjoy this. The dish comes with a white creamy sauce and a refried bean dip - both yummy and not overpowering in flavor. Papusas: Lots of flavors to choose from! And in general, for all the papusas, the papusa batter is wonderful and the porportion of filling to papusa is perfect. 2a. Calabaza Papusa - mixed cheese + zuchinni (4/5) This was the most cheesey papusa, where the cheese was the heavy lifter. I enjoyed it and every bite had a nice cheese pull too it. I would have liked to see a little more zucchini green, and for it to add to the textures. 2b. Frijol y Queso Papusa - mixed cheese + refried beans (5/5) My favorite! Can't go wrong with a bean and cheese papusa and this was so so good. I recommend this classic pairing of flavors anywhere. I was thinking about this papusa for days. 2c. Chicken Papusa - mixed cheese + chicken (5/5) This was also really good. the chicken is mixed in with the cheese, so every bite has both, which was nice. There was also a lovely seasoning which balanced all the flavors beautifully. 3. Churros: This usually comes with vanilla ice cream, and the server warned us they didn't have any in stock. We were fine with that because we love churros. When we were complete with our papusas, they served us our churros and surprised with apple slices instead of ice cream which was a lovely touch. Parking: There is no designated parking lot that we have found, but the public 2 hour parking lot 2 blocks over on Second Ave! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Comalito. The hardest hurdle is parking, but once you find the public parking lot a couple of blocks over, it was easy to find and gives you a little exercise before you eat! Papusas were all delicious and there is a plenty of seating room. Keep in mind they are open Friday-Sunday only at time of writing.

The pupusas are small they suggest 2-3 per person for a reason. I got chicharon con queso. They were flavorful but they weren't close to the best pupusas I've tried elsewhere. June 2026 -- Santa Clara, CA Beer, Brats, Bladder Strategy…read more Pretty fun place. Good food. Great place to watch a World Cup soccer game. One word of warning: arrive with an empty bladder and a working relationship with patience, because the restroom line moves like it is being reviewed by a committee. Das Bierhauz is located right next to the VTA and Caltrain station, which makes it a very practical stop before heading to a game at Levi's Stadium. There is shaded outdoor seating and indoor seating, but this place fills up fast. Do not show up late and expect the universe to hand you a table. The universe has other appointments. The beer selection is very good. We got there around 6 PM before the Austria vs. Jordan World Cup match, and the stouts were already sold out. That tells you two things: people know what they are doing here, and you may need to move with purpose. Order the huge 20 oz glass if you want to have fun. It is not subtle. It announces itself. Food-wise, the combination appetizer is a strong move for a group of three or four. It comes with hummus, crushed eggplant, olives, a cucumber-yogurt-style dip, and other Mediterranean support staff. For the main dish, I recommend the veal knockwurst with fries. It was simple, filling, and did its job without trying to explain itself. The ordering system is where things get a little loose. Seating is basically self-directed, which means the bold inherit the tables. The line to order can feel scattered, although the menu is clearly posted above the cashier. You order, pay, receive one of those coaster number things, then sit down and trust that civilization will continue. To their credit, the staff found us with the beer and food without incident. There were TVs everywhere showing Argentina vs. Algeria, and with the international crowd in the room, the energy was like getting electrocuted by friendly aliens experimenting on how to make adrenaline surges in the body lightning fast. Loud, lively, and just the right amount of chaotic. Overall, I would give Das Bierhauz a 4 out of 5. I would not want to be here when it is absolutely packed, mostly because the queue system could become chaotic like a school of fish in a class on how to properly get into an auto accident. That said, the staff were reliable, the food was good, the beer was strong, and the location is hard to beat before a game.

Fantastic Cocktails, Vibrant Small Plates, and Great Group Vibe!…read moreWe had an outstanding meal at Horsefeather in Town & Country Village near Stanford! The space is sleek, modern, and light-filled, making it a perfect spot to gather with friends for lunch or evening drinks and bites. Here is a breakdown of what we tried: Deviled Eggs: A must-order appetizer! Topped with tobiko/caviar, crispy shallots, and chives, they are incredibly creamy with a nice pop of texture and savoriness. Korean Fried Chicken Wings: Crispy, perfectly glazed in a sweet-and-spicy sauce, and topped with sesame seeds. Served with a cool dipping sauce that balances out the heat wonderfully. Tacos (Carnitas & Shrimp): Both taco options were served on warm, fresh corn tortillas topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and served with a side of slaw and spicy salsa. High quality and super flavorful. Roasted Cauliflower: A gorgeous mixture of purple and white cauliflower tossed with a rich green pesto and drizzle of spicy red pepper sauce. A phenomenal vegetable side with a great kick. French Fries: Golden, crispy, well-seasoned, and served in a massive bowl--perfect for sharing across the entire table. Overall: Excellent presentation, generous portions for small plates, and a super welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for creative craft cocktails or grabbing a bite with a group near campus, Horsefeather delivers. Highly recommended!
