Their employees are very knowledgeable about their products and will help you find the perfect whatever you're looking for. They also have yummy drinks and snacks and herbal supplements for various things. This smoke shop has fun parties on 4/20 and 7/10 and raffles and free food. They've been successful enough to open up other locations and I'm pretty sure they're hiring at other locations If anyone needs a job. I grew up right next to the original location and have gone there for many years and know some of the employees from young school years. When you go in, it's like you end up hanging out with them while they help you look for whatever you went in for. They're all super chill and down to earth. And they've even been kind enough to throw in certain add ons for products you buy. And my favorite thing about them has to be how late they're open every night and even later on the weekends. The piece was faulty, i went up north to meet with DC, after trying to get it to work without doing much, he gave up and said kick rocks. Pretty annoying that I called in yesterday asking if they would price match a puffco peak pro for me, rather spend $ locally. I was told I have to come in and talk to Joanne or some guy and they usually will work with you. Ok sounds good. I drive in 25 mins, greeted by the first employee, and explain "I called yesterday asking about a price match on a puffco peak pro"....."ABSOLUTELY FUCKIN NOT" ... "what? So my little brother recently began educating me on the many wonders of smoking and the innumerable ways of doing it. I've never smoked, I've never been interested, and I still have a pretty conservative view on the matter. But I have friends and family who do. I've tagged along to dozens and dozens of smoke shops and I am always hit with that stale tobacco smell and rude associates who seem to hate anyone who walks through the door. So I've learned to expect a very low standard when it comes to these types of establishments. Enter Sky High. Holy cow. The very first thing I noticed about this place was how clean it was. My goodness, there were no lingering odors, empty shelves, or sketchy clientele - basically nothing I've come to expect from a smoke shop. This place is amazing. Their products are incredible. It felt like I was in a glass museum and I could not get over how organized everything was. I didn't know what anything was or what these things did but my curiosity was piqued. I was warmly greeted by Frankie who introduced herself with an enthusiastic greeting and patiently answered every single question I had. And there were a lot of them. I wanted to know the hows and whys of almost every product. Why is this made of glass and this one made of bamboo? Why is this base conical shaped and that one more rounded? What's the purpose of everything, etc. She graciously shared her vast wealth of knowledge and took the time to get to know me by asking what my habits were. With that information she made a couple suggestions and I was immediately sold. I felt like I made an informed decision and that makes all the difference. I have been so happy with my purchase. Bonus points for it being a Sky High brand product with the Mario Kart 64 mystery box colors. That was cool. Oh!!! They also sell Snapple in glass bottles. Sometimes I'll pop in to buy just that and I'm always greeted with the kindest welcome from everyone there. Their customer service is second to none and I can't imagine myself going anywhere else. Recently I went into the shop to buy a replacement glass piece for my E-Rig. Within 10 minutes of getting it, I went to take it out of its bag and it literally shattered. Broke right along the seam of the e-nail. I never once took it out of the bag nor was it bubble wrapped like they would when they sell you their glass. So figuring since it was only 10 minutes ago, and they are pretty reasonable, I went back to see the same guy I checked out with who happens to own part of the store. He immediately started in with "we checked the glass before giving it to you. There was nothing broken." Insinuating it was on me yet the glass was never wrapped and how could he inspect it? It was already in a bag shipped from the manufacturer. He confirmed their store tapes would prove he did. Yet when I asked to see these "tapes" in which he could prove he checked the glass, he jumped around doing it, wanted me to wait. Then as a last ditch effort offered me a new piece at half price. The new e-nail piece had a chip as well! I had them take the e-nails out and inspect it before I left. Now I'm out a piece and a half in money because you wouldn't take responsibility for your cheap glass. Even if it was shipped to you like that. It's your reputation. I have never brought something back that was broken by my hand and I tried to be reasonable the entire time instead of blowing up about how I felt. I'm just disappointed.... I shop here pretty frequently. Not really for the connivence or for the prices but because these are local guys from my neighborhood and they've always stood by their products. You've now lost all my future purchases and hopefully people will see this and know you're willing to blame the customer before trying to find a solution. That's bad business. P.S whether a glass is sold individually or by a 3rd party manufacturer please check your product before selling. So I don't smoke weed or cigarettes but occasionally I do like to bust out my Hookah or Shisha when my friends are over. I was introduced to the Hookah almost 10 years ago and over the past year I have developed a renewed interest in it. My friends and I have stopped in at Coughing Canary (the Smoke Shop) a handful of times to pick up some tobacco and charcoal. We've never been disappointed....although on 2 separate occasions while smoking in my living room, I dumped over the Hookah and spilled the lit coals, burning my carpet. Dang. That's my fault. Maybe with the cooler weather I'll figure out a set-up on my patio. Last night we ran up to Coughing Canary again for the usual and to try some new flavors. The guy working there was so concerned with his mobile that he was really of no help at all. Also, we wanted to buy a second hose for my Hookah, but I noticed that the only adaptor he showed me was too large in diameter to fit mine. He assured me it was universal. Well it didn't work. I went back today, just sure as hell that I was gonna have to become irate because the 2 pieces I bought were useless. On the contrary, I was told that the store was under new ownership and they are determined to elevate their customer service. (The guy from last night wasn't there today.) So, they made it right. Kickass! When I can afford it, I plan on upgrading to a better quality Hookah and this will more than likely be where I buy it. I'd like to preface this review by saying that I don't really care for Yelp and have never once felt compelled to create an account to use it until today. I made this account for the sole purpose of sharing my two cents about how absolutely awful this shop it. I bought a water pipe from here and in less than 24 hours the mouth piece broke clean off when I simply set it on a table, BASE first, while holding it at the base. The mouth piece! How?! I called in to explain the situation and to see if I could get a return or even an exchange and what I was told was that "glass is glass" and it breaks and I wasn't careful enough with my piece. If I walked out with it in one piece and it breaks through no fault of my own they will do absolutely nothing to guarantee the quality of their products. This is by far one of the worst shops I've ever purchased from, and after having three similar experiences (I know, my fault) in regards to random breaks and hairline fractures, I will never buy a single thing from this shop ever again and would encourage anyone thinking about making a purchase from this shop to do the same.
