I have been coming here to get my eyebrows threaded since the store opened and it has been my go-to eyebrow place ever since! I swear by this place and would recommend it to anyone. Nilab and the other girls that work here are always so nice, accommodating, and do a perfect job every time. Because I have been coming here for years, I decided to try microblading that they just recently started offering and it was the best decision! Masoda did my microblading and she was amazing- she made the whole process so easy and comfortable. I did not know what to expect, and she was so good about explaining every step throughout the process to me and answering all my questions. I loved how she walked me through everything and how she helped me decide what color/shape would best suit my eyebrows- especially because I am so so picky about my eyebrows! I was super nervous to get this procedure done but I'm so glad I did!! I would recommend it to anyone who is debating trying microblading for the first time because she is very good about making sure they look exactly how you want them to look. I am updating my review after I frequented them for a while. The service and the work they do is still great. Here is where I ran into an issue and was extremely disappointed. They give you a stamp card and after you fill it up, you're supposed to be able to redeem it for a free eyebrow threading service. Ok so I walk in on the day I am going to use it and tell one of the ladies that I just want a clean up on my eyebrows. There was no shaping involved at all whatsoever. Everything was great until I gave them the stamp card. She starts telling me that it's not valid for the service I had. That it only covers a simple clean up and not shaping. I remind her that I asked for a cleanup and that she didn't shape my eyebrows at all whatsoever. I was a frequent customer and the ladies here usually maintained them. She began to give me attitude and then says that she'll only accept it this time. I was baffled! Why would you have a frequent buyer's card and not honor it. I filled it up because I frequented them often. After this visit, I never went back. Great customer service is key in keeping customers. read more

I went to Nilab for microshading. I was really nervous to get it done, but wanted to get microshading so i wouldn't have to fill in my eyebrows with powder every morning. Nilab was so patient with me! She would work on my eyebrows for a few minutes, then she would check in with me to see what I thought before continuing to microshade. After the appointment, she checked in with me that night, later that week, and the following week to make sure I was still happy with the results too. She has also been threading my eyebrows for years which was really helpful when it came to microshading. I am so happy with the results and I don't think I will even need a touch-up done. read more

I get threading done here exclusively! All of the ladies who work here are so sweet and do a thorough job. I've been getting threaded specifically by NOSHIN for a long time. She and I have developed a great friendship and I always look forward to coming in. Noshin is efficient but does not rush her work, which is great because I request threading that takes longer. She is receptive to feedback and it's nice to get her opinion when I want to switch things up. Noshin always makes sure I'm comfortable, because let's be real, threading isn't the most painless thing you've ever done. She does have a lighter hand than other threaders I've seen in the past, which I appreciate. They also keep this place clean (total plus!). I love Nosheen! She is so patient and is willing to shape your eyebrows until your satisfied! It took us a long time to get my eyebrows to where I wanted them because I had them thinner and someone would mess them up, but because of her I finally have the shape I've always wanted. ABSOLUTELY AWSOME I decided to get my eyebrows threaded i went there and only had to wait less than a minute. I got Nilah and was not dissapointed! She did it quick and almost painlessly, took less than 5 minutes. She did it so well that my mom decided to get hers done too, we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Nilah also demonstrated how to do my eyebrows on a regular basis, she used this awesome powder stuff and did it so well that I decided to buy it (it cost only ten bucks and came with a little brush). It was a month since I'd gotten these bad boys threaded and I was visiting from out of town and eating at Baltimore Snowball down the way. Thank God for Sky Brows being in the same shopping center. The line moved fast and there were 2 ladies threading that looked like a mother and daughter duo. I got the daugher who had a beautiful complexion and eyebrows and was like, "Ok ladies now let's get these brows in formation," (Beyonce had just performed near by the night before). She was so nice and assessed my brows before starting. To paraphrase her analysis, she noticed my right brow arch was higher than my left but that's because my right eye kind of flexes it that way...like The Rock. She was correct! Once she diagnosed my messy brows she went to work...FAST! In 6 minutes my brows and upper lip were DONE and on fleek. She even commented that my brows were beautiful so I'd give this place 6 stars for blowing up my ego. HOLY. CRAP! I have been on a quest for perfect eyebrows since I was about 10 and some snot-nosed boy in my class made fun of me for having a "uni-brow" (looking back, I totally did not have a uni-brow, you brat!) Anyways, people have been telling me to try getting my eyebrows threaded for some time now. However, I have been very hesitent to try it because I've also heard it hurts really bad! I finally got up the nerve to try it. So I went on yelp to see if I could find a salon with good reviews in my area. That is how I found this place. I got here about 5:30 PM on a Thursday. There was one other girl in the salon, who the girl working here was just finishing up. I waited as she paid. The girl working then looks at me and says "Hello Beautiful!! I am ready for you!" I could instantly tell we would be BFF's I let her know that it was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and I was a bit nervous, she was very nice and told me it didn't hurt, and asked me what I wanted. I sat back in her chair and she got the thread out to start, just when I was about to have a heart attack she started and.. it didn't hurt one bit. It was weird, for sure. But I think it hurt way less then waxing or even plucking. It was over in less then 5 minutes, and my eyebrows look great! She filled them in with powder and they looked so amazing I obviously bought the powder she used also. She also told me that they have a punch card and that if I come 5 times, the 6th is free. Beauty by Dolly, I love you and all, but I have found my new favorite spot in North County SD. Sky Brows is new to the area, but they are very detailed and meticulous when it comes to your brow. I walked in and was helped within minutes. While I was waiting, I overheard the threader providing tips and instructions on how to get the best out of her brows. That was really cool. When it was my turn, I didn't even have to instruct her with what I wanted, the last threading experience, the lady threaded too much and provided a large gap between my brows where the nose is, I was just about to tell her that I wanted to grow that out and she recommended it, which was great! Another thing I liked was the fact that they fill in your brows for you too as well. The threading costed only $10 which is very reasonable compared to other places that are usually $12. They also provide a frequent user card, after ONLY 5 visits the 6th is free! Usually its 10 visits. GREAT PLACE and I highly recommend it! read more

I went here 3 months ago and haven't gone back. I would but my experience wasn't the best. I walked in. I would say going in for the first time they really tried to sell things to me. I feel like I was trapped and that's why I wouldn't go back. They were fast and did a great job threading but I didn't agree with their sales tactics. I had moderately high expectations for Sky Brows, especially since I came in on a Tuesday before noon and there were 2 people ahead of me already, and 2 more who showed up shortly after I did. The girl working there also seemed to know what she was doing. One of the ladies seemed extremely pleased with her eyebrows, praising the girl over and over before heading out the door. I have to admit, I couldn't wait to get mine done! When I sat down in the chair after about 10 minutes, the girl looked at my eyebrows and asked where I usually had them done. "Ugh," I thought to myself. I hate it when they criticize waxing places or self-plucking. Just do your job and let your work speak for itself! Unfortunately, she told me my brows were uneven with lots of ingrown hairs. As she worked, she pressed down hard and let me know she was doing this to get all the small hairs. That was fine with me, as long as the end product was good. Buut, when she was done, I saw that she had basically cleaned up my brows and that was all. In fact, when I went home, my mom took one look at me and said they looked exactly the same. To be honest, I'll probably be back to give this place a second chance.
