We have visited this veteran-owned distillery several times and have never been disappointed. From the gracious hosts to the unique spirits, it's quite the experience. A small speakeasy-style tasting room is the backdrop to traditional and smoky bourbons, moonshine, and cordials. (The rumor is they'll be coming out with a gin in the near future!) My personal favorites are the chocolate cordial and the new blueberry cinnamon cordial. My daughter loves the apple pie brandy, cinnamon whiskey, and honey pear cordial. My husband prefers the Viking Lightning (a honey-infused moonshine) and the Whiskey Road bourbon aged in charred white oak. There's something for everyone here! Very cool place, there's a hidden bar behind a book case! Had fun doing the tasting and ended up buying two of their bottles. The guy doing the tasting was really nice and gave us a little tour of their distillery as well as snuck in a couple larger tasting shots. Really glad we came here. read more

We visited the distillery after my Dad met a few of the owners at the Bingen Art and Wine Festival. My Mom and I are not Bourbon drinkers, but my Dad is and we were all eager to learn more about it. Spoiler: we left with a bottle of their clear moonshine Whiskey and two bottles of the Cinnamon Whiskey. One of which they shipped to New Jersey for me! We were greeted by Matt, a Head Distiller, and for the next hour or so he gave us generous tastings and did our tour- walking us through the entire process of what they do and how different spirits are made there. It was fascinating and so cool that it's a true family business. "Skunk" is Matt's Grandpa, who we also met, and their stills are named after their great grandparents- original moonshiners. Come early on a weekday if you can- we had what felt like a private tour but I imagine any time you go there they will be incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home (whiskey drinker or not!). read more

Fantastic experience! We did the Groupon for the spirit tasting. They were generous in the variety of drink selections and they were incredibly delicious! But more importantly, they were incredibly welcoming and friendly. So many places have become uptight but they created a very relaxed atmosphere (before any whiskey / bourbon was in our system ). Had a wonderful time visiting with Mr. Skunk. Particularly enjoyed the smoky bourbon and the blueberry/cinnamon cordial. That said, we also got several more of their spirits. I should also mention they're apple pie moonshine and the honey moonshine. Oooo, oooo, and his cinnamon liquor! Really, they are all so good! Also loved the "speakeasy" atmosphere. Wow, amazing bourbon! We stopped in yesterday and enjoyed tasting the Smokejumper bourbon and Moonshine whisky. A highlight was the newly bottled Cherry Cordial - wow is that great or what? To celebrate Independence Day today, I created a Smokejumper Bourbon Cherry Bomb. Fabulous! 2 parts Smokejumper bourbon, 1 part Cherry Cordial, 1 part organic cherry juice, 1/2 part simple syrup, and a squeeze of lime juice. Shake over ice, and strain in to a glass. I muddled a couple of fresh cherries, a small wedge of lime, and a few mint leaves in the glass first. Happy 4th of July! Thank you Skunk Brothers! read more

Been meaning to visit this place for some time, so finally got out there one day last week when I was in the area. I was given a brief tour of the distillery, then was taken to the tasting room. The tasting room has an old moonshine / speakeasy feel to it that I liked. I'll say I'm not a huge whiskey fan, and when I do, I like them in this order: Scotch Whiskey, Canadian Whiskey, then American Whiskey the last. I tried 3 whiskeys here. Their Moonshine (a very smooth clear whiskey & my favorite), their Cinnamon Whiskey (I don't care much for cinnamon, but this was still tasty), and their Apple Pie Brandy (this would be so good over vanilla ice cream). If your favorite whiskey is that cheap $10 from your corner liquor store, then this isn't the place for you. But if you enjoy good, quality whiskey, then you should try this place. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Visited Skunk Brothers when I was visiting from CA and all I can say is WOW! Incredible spirits that are truly high quality and nothing short of delicious. Thank you to Dill for leading us into your speakeasy tasting room (I'll leave it there as to not spoil anything), he made everything incredibly fun and made the tasting an incredibly fun time. It's incredible that they are family run with current and retired vets and service men. Thank you to you all. True highlight though? When Skunk himself made his debut and proceeded to give us tastings of his spirits and amazing ways to intergrade them into cooking. I like many types of whiskey, mostly bourbon but to me this is on the level of Heaven Hill with flavor. When I drink pricey bourbon i expect something on the level of Four Roses Single Barrel or Woodford Reserve and my favorite, Bulleit 10 year. I was very disappointed since this smelled like the hand sanitizer everyone is using today and not like a quality bourbon. I was expecting a woody smokey smooth taste for the price, not happening. If you like the flavor of this save yourself about $20 and go buy a bottle of heaven hill, Turkey 101 has better flavor. Sorry guys, I tried. read more

My husband and I were out in Stevenson just for a night. So glad we discovered Skunk Brothers. We had a great time sampling different whiskeys and cordials. The distiller was there so he gave us a lot of interesting information about how each type was made. And they are in a prime spot to afterwards walk along the waterfront to watch the windsurfers. Such a pleasant surprise! While spending the weekend at the Skamania Lodge, we found Skunk Brothers offering a spirit tasting down in the lobby. Everything we sampled was so good that we made sure to go to the distillery the next afternoon to buy a bottle of the cinnamon whiskey (the best cinnamon whiskey I've ever had) to take home. We were able to tour the distillery and learn about the craft process, the family, and their products.
