Casual. Comfy atmosphere. Friendly staff…read more We started with the Conch House sampler and swapped out the jalapeños for more shrimp and fritters. The sampler comes with two conch fritters, two coconut shrimp, two bacon wrapped items (which we replaced), cracked conch, and lobster and conch ceviche. I have to say this while it's fresh in my mind. The moment I had the lobster and shrimp ceviche, I got chills. Just an incredible burst of flavor. Tiny bit of heat at the end but nothing overwhelming. Just really, really good. The conch fritters are solid too. Chewy, not over breaded, and served with two sauces. One is sweet and one is more of a mayo style. There's also something that eats like a conch curry puff situation. I liked the cracked conch better personally, but both are worth trying. The coconut shrimp is also really good. The sampler also comes with tortilla chips on the side. The lobster bisque is delicious. Great flavor with little chunks of what I'm pretty sure is lobster throughout. Nothing more to add really. It's just good. The mahi and avocado dish has a nice seared taste to it. Not flame broiled exactly, but that kind of grilled sear that you want on fish. The pico de gallo is similar to what came with the ceviche, and it works really well here. All in at $75.

Thus began our search for the fabled buried treasure of Captain Fats Montana. The restaurant is completely outdoors, covered, but without air conditioning. They did have fans and portable cooling units, though some of the older members of our expedition still suffered beneath the tropical heat. Thankfully, the incredible views, excellent service, and amazing drinks kept morale from collapsing entirely. I greatly enjoyed my grouper sandwich and thought the food was excellent overall. A few fellow adventurers had some complaints about their meals, but our service was consistently friendly and attentive. The drinks gave me enough strength to battle the cannibal tribe, uncover Captain Fats Montana's buried treasure, and claim my reward: 73 coupons for 10% off a footlong meatball sub at Subway. Sadly, they expire in 12 days, but that is a tale for another voyage. Beautiful views, great service, delicious drinks, and a memorable waterfront atmosphere. Just prepare for the heat if you're traveling with older companions.

They offered great recommendations, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The restaurant sits right on the water, creating a fun, laid-back atmosphere. It was very flavorful, and tender. Overall, this was a great experience If you're looking for a cute spot for lunch or a casual dinner on the water with friendly service and delicious food, Restaurant on the Creek is definitely worth a visit.

We've tried quite a few dishes over the years, and my favorites are the loaded chicken wrap and the Cuban cheesesteak. Whatever you order, don't skip the fried plantains--they're the perfect side. I have tried the skirt steak before, and it just wasn't my favorite, but everything else we've ordered has been consistently good. You can choose to sit inside in the air conditioning or outside at one of the covered picnic tables. Since you're right on the dock, it's a great place to relax, watch the boats come and go, and enjoy the Keys atmosphere. Good food, convenient fuel for the boat, and a waterfront location make this an annual stop for us every lobster season.

The restaurant is reasonably sized and tastefully, but simply, designed. The menu is concise, and you can always ask for something that isn't on it, and they will do their best to accommodate you. Lunch specials can fill you up without breaking the bank. Griot, or fried pig chunks, is their most well-known and traditional food. It's flavorful and a little oily, but you can add some pikliz, our Haitian chili sauce, and it will absorb it all, especially when served with rice, salad, and fried bananas or tostones. You can even switch up the sides.

Not sure if it's just a rough neighborhood, but we were clearly the first eat-in clients of the afternoon/evening. The hostess said they could accommodate our group of 7 and so we did end up staying, but our group had to do all the rearranging of tables, high chairs, and table wipe downs which was strange. Overall the service was just OK. One of our dishes didn't come out with the others which was unfortunate as everyone was done eating when it finally did come out. One nice thing was they prepared small plates of fries and ketchup for our youngest boys who weren't interested in the Caribbean fare offered. The food and presentation was nice, but seemed to be very overcooked and dry. Perhaps just an off-night for the staff. I was encouraged to see several takeout orders being picked up so seems like they're a local favorite.

The meat was tender, flavorful, and had that rich gravy that really brings the whole dish together. I also got the sweet potato pudding for dessert, which had a nice texture and it was cold instead of hot, had that nice sweet potato flavor. Reminds me of pumpkin pie. It was a great way to finish everything. The staff was friendly, service was smooth, and the food came out fresh and hot. Really enjoyed the meal and definitely recommend Jamaican Kitchen.
