I can't believe how kind and professional she is, even to someone who is new to the process and asks TONS of questions like me! She made sure I wasn't uncomfortable and that the sugar wasn't pulling on my skin. She gave me specific instructions to follow before my first appointment to help me be best prepared for the procedure. Her directions for exfoliation were thorough and clear; and this is a key step to having any hair removal procedure to avoid skin irritation and ingrown hair. I'm excited to keep going and see the hair growth diminish on my legs. I get horrible razor burn, so this has been the best thing for me. Christina is happy to help with any other skin questions I have, giving suggestions of things to avoid and things to try that I already have at home... Never trying to just upsell me, she has offered me a few samples to try before buying a full-sized product from their showroom. The Spa has such a calm and peaceful atmosphere, as well. So much so that I look forward to spending a couple hours having my legs sugared, even though it isn't the most pain-free experience! (It does hurt a LOT LESS than regular waxing, however!) Maria did an excellent job but did a partial Brazilian without asking me first and charged me $55 'because SHE took off more than a regular bikini wax' Sorry but that's where you lost me. Giving me what you wanted vs. what I asked for without consulting me is not good business practice. Then to make it a little more aggravating, she spent 15 minutes pushing sales on me of her crystals and skin care line I wasn't interested in. I wound up buying a very nice crystal paperweight ($30) So a $40 day turned into $100 (I tipped 15%) After thinking about this for a week, I decided to write this review. People go in with a budget and want to get in / out. I understand you have a business to run but overcharging clients, and pushing them to buy things when they just want to go back to work, is a bad way to start out a new client.

Experience: I received a chin wax that seemed to take longer than it would at other stores. I remember hearing that waxing the skin (at one time on any side) too often can damage the skin. Well, I was waxed many times before she decided to switch to the tweezers. I was a little worried about that. Then when I went home I still found hairs, which upset me because the service was extremely expensive. Pricing: Before I entered the store I looked up the prices which said the chin wax was $12, I asked for a lip wax as well and expected another $10 or at least $12 to be added to the price. When I went to pay she explained that the bill was $40!!! I asked her why and she said "$12 dollar price is for one pull of the wax strip and done, she spent an hour on me". I was shocked and asked for a discount since I expected the price to be no more than $25. The discounted price was $39.50. When I asked her again about the pricing she told me she did stay after hours to get me in. If I knew she would charge me extra then I would have waited for another day. In conclusion, I'd love to go back to Maria but would need solid pricing info before my service started and a job extremely well done, meaning no hairs found after I arrive home.
