My daughter got me a gift card to this place for 100.00 on Mother's Day. Went to appointment the staff was friendly. Requested all over highlights and a cut. I asked why she wasn't doing my backside of hair, she said we don't do that. I thought I was getting all over highlights. I never blow dry my hair. When I got home and was drying, I noticed she miss the whole left side of my hair and was cut horribly on that side. Looked different on right side. Wasn't even blonde but gold. Called they said to come back in and they will fix it. Came back in and she did not say one word to me while trying to fix my hair color on the side she missed. Then she asked how do want your hair cut? I said I want a refund because I'm not letting you cut my hair again. Gave me the runaround and said we will put on your daughters account. This was my money not my daughters. I said she may never come here again. My hair on the left side where she missed the first time still looks the same. And her fake fingernails were digging so bad into my head when shampooing I had to say easy on the nails! She didn't respond back. Did you hear me? I said to her. She said yeah. Just rude. Soooo I called and made an appointment and thought that it would be taken care of and I'd leave with my hair looking brighter and blonder with no orange tint? That did not happen sad to say. First of all, the owner here needs some props. He took this business from a struggling salon , underrated from a previous business that was in that spot and made it shine!!!!!!...I honestly didnt think they would be in business 2 years.... I am a licensed nail tech and have been in the business 14+ years ( no I do NOT work for them or ever have)...and have very high standards.....meaning, ---I have a personal working knowledge of what to expect when it comes to Salon services. And I have to say that this Salon and the employees there give a new meaning to professionalism... I've worked in many salons where the drama, and pettiness between the employees can be felt by the clients. Alot of stylists I've worked with want to be treated like princesses ....won't clean their stations or help one another. This salon tho---- is the COMPLETE opposite of that persona. I immediately noticed this on my first appt there over a year ago. These girls support one another. Help one another and act Professional in front of the clients at all times. I've seen and heard everytg in my share of salons, and I must say this is top of the line. Joe and his wife have got it together and it's apparent here. Being on the other side of the chair allows me to watch what really goes on, and I've never been anytg but impressed. Cheree is my stylist and she is Top Notch. She's always worked with me to fit me in when I've needed my grays covered . Lol. She listens to me and does exactly what I want. I've worked with some of the top stylists in Ohio, along with the top color lines......and nothing compares to what Cheree does. They use Redken...which is neither top nor bottom as far as color goes....but it's her care and application that makes it last. She takes her time in everytg she does and it shows. She could take shortcuts,( and I would know) ....but she doesnt and wont. Even when I beg her to fit me in, and I'm the last client there--- she does not rush or make me feel guilty in any way. These girls need a pat on the back, and I certainly hope that Joe and his wife really comprehend what they have in the staff they have there. It takes many salons years and years to achieve this level of class, stability and pride. It truly is an example of what a high end salon "should" be....but most, even with all the glitz and glam--- don't ever achieve. Love this place! I went in for a double dip tanning session and the lady who helped me was awesome. She really explained each bed and also helped me decide on the best color for my spray tan (which came out amazing by the way). This is the best spray tan I have gotten. I have no orange, just a really nice natural sunkissed look. It's the longest lasting spray tan I have experienced and it fades really nicely and gradually! I've Been a client here for 3.5 years to get my lashes done and today by far the worst experience I have ever had, now this person was not my lash artist but a hair stylist that intentionally harassed me this isn't the first time, and being a business owner of a very lucrative business for 7 years now, certain things don't sit right with me and I let it slide on the first occasion and this time I just could not. I came in for a regular appointment, for me that's weekly; spending anywhere from $75-$200 bucks on my lashes a week! I came in to check in and I had my baby with me I was not bringing my baby to my appointment but I had to bring her in to check in, my sitter was close by to get my baby. As I waited in the waiting area for my sitter the hair stylist decided she was going to tell my lash tech I had my baby with me not knowing my sitter was only 3 min away. My lash tech then comes out and says she can't take me because I have my baby and the policy that was in place. I told the lash tech that my baby wasn't coming to the back with me. And I was waiting on my sitter. While me and lash tech are waiting the hair stylist leaves her client in the chair to again mind our business and try and intimidate me and we started going back and forth (she was acting like a Karen) and I was unable to get my lashes done because of the dispute. Long story short I will now find a different lash tech because of a hair stylist that couldn't mind her business and the business that was paying her which was the client that was in her chair. 2 strikes and it's out for me and that was the second strike involving the same hair stylist. I got a spray tan here before my sisters wedding. Service at the front desk was great and everyone was very helpful. HOWEVER, my tan did not get very deep at all. I could have done better buying a self tanner and applying at home. I normally have excellent experiences with versa spa spray tans but this one was just off. I get my hair done here and they do amazing and i love my hair every time. Me and my sister have gotten our eyelashes tinted and lifted from here too and they look amazing. I tried getting my full set acrylic nails done here by a girl named hailey (with blonde hair) and they fell off within a couple days. I wasn't even rough or anything just pushing or pulling a chair in made 3 off them fall off. I recommend getting your hair or eyelash done by them and it's worth the price. read more

Went in for highlights and cut. Bottom of hair was still highlighted blonde need more put in the top do to grow out. Was there 3 hrs? She put in about 8 foils which my hair is darker now tgen when I went in? Cut could have been done better by my 6 yr old niece that cuts her barbies hair. Its just chopped up and not in good layers. The first time I ever heard about Bella Bronze was through Groupon. I was looking for a new place to get a gel manicure back in early January and thought I'd give this place a shot. First off, the inside of this place is absolutely gorgeous. The decor is muted purples, grays, and some shades of black. All of the furniture and cosmetology equipment stays within the same color scheme. It's very clean and well taken care of. Upon entry, I was greeted politely and asked to fill out a questionnaire about my skin (for tanning purposes). Then I was given a welcome packet that included some really awesome coupons (free eyebrow wax, 20% off my first retail service, etc.). Then I was offered beverage service. The girls who work here definitely make an effort to have very good customer service. I got my nails done by Kylie and I absolutely LOVED them! I have been coming back here every two weeks since January and I wouldn't go anywhere else (even though this place is a half hour drive for me!). A gel manicure is $32 and a gel soak-off is $10, but if the previous gel was from Bella Bronze, then the gel soak-off is free. Kylie does an amazing job and takes her time. It's about quality over being extremely fast, which makes me very happy. I have also had Kylie do my hair and brows and her work is always perfection. One of the best things about this place is the referral policy. Everytime you refer someone and they name drop you, you get up to $20 off your next service and they get up to $20 off their first service. Unfortunately I had a poor experience here. First, I called and asked when I should get a spray tan prior to my nephew's rehearsal dinner and wedding. The young lady I spoke with recommended that I get the spray tan the morning of my nephew's rehearsal dinner, and get my mani and pedi before. So I scheduled the way that she recommended, pedi then mani then tan. The woman who did my mani-pedi told me she'd give me the full service, but she'd clean off all lotions as I was tanning after. Turns out, I got a 2-3 minute foot rub (no massage) with my pedi. When it came time to move from my pedi chair to the manicure station, she didn't help me move my things. That has never happened to me before - my nail technician has always helped me move my things from one station to the next. She did a good job on my gel manicure and she did a good job on my pedicure. Technically she was terrific. But she seemed disinterested in the service aspect of my experience. She actually said at the end of my service, and I quote, "hey, I finished you 45 minutes early so now I have time to work on my own nails!" Yes, you finished 45 minutes early because you gave me very poor service. Then, I go to the front desk and tell them that I am scheduled for a spray tan. After discussing with them what I had been told vs what was stated on their waiver, we decided it was too late for me to get a spray tan. I was really bummed as I am PALE . However, the front desk staff - the only bright spot of my experience here - came to the rescue. There was a woman there who greeted me enthusiastically, showed me all of their products (and I bought a few) and when I ran into this issue with my spray tan, she recommended a self-tanning product that was simple to use and yielded fantastic results. This woman, and I wish I knew her name, was amazing. Never pushy, very informative and she actually demonstrated the tanning product for me. I am from out of town so maybe it doesn't matter about my experience, but when I go back to Akron and I need such services I will not be returning to Bella Bronze. read more

I recently moved to the area and went to this place because it had good reviews. I didn't have a problem there, everyone was nice and I really appreciated all the COVID-19 precautions they had in place. Due to COVID, they couldn't blow dry which is why I didn't notice until I got home and my hair was dry that my haircut was completely uneven. One side was cut almost like it was cut straight across, blunt end layers and the other were normal, face-framing and angled layers; it looked like 2 different people cut my hair. I had to ask a friend to even it out for me because I didn't want to risk going back and getting it getting messed up even more. Lauren cut my hair- very friendly, took her time, asked tons of questions-- about what I wanted, how much time I wanted to spend styling my hair everyday, What my general style was..... I am not surprised to see many 5-star reviews, as the salon is clean and well-maintained and most of my interactions with staff have been phenomenal. However, I have recently had a "less-than-stellar" experience with Bella Bronze and felt the need to share. I have been going to Bella Bronze for about 2 months, using their tanning services, as I am getting married in about a week. Their tanning beds are always clean and sanitized (something that is of the utmost importance to me). Additionally, in the 15-20 or so times I have been there to tan, I have only had to wait for a bed twice, and it was for less than 5 minutes. As far as their tanning services go, I cannot complain. However, I went to Bella Bronze yesterday evening for a final hair cut and color before my wedding. Everything appeared to be going well, and my stylist seemed to be doing a very detailed and thorough job. However, upon finishing up and blow-drying my hair, she noticed a mark on my left temple (I have no previous scars or skin conditions on my face, and my skin has always been normal for my entire life). She asked me if it hurt, which it did not, and said she must have gotten dye on my hair. I immediately knew something was wrong because my hair was getting highlighted to a light blonde shade, not involving any dark dyes which was the color of the mark that had now appeared on my skin. Upon getting home and examining the "mark" in the mirror, I realize that my stylist gave me a chemical burn on my face a week before my wedding. To be honest, the aspect of this visit that upsets me the most is that my stylist clearly knew what had happened and she tried to cover it up instead of being upfront and honest about her mistake. *UPDATE!!!* After speaking with the manager, they provided me with a full refund for my hair services and provided my sister and I mani-pedis for the wedding. The face that they did their best to write this "wrong" is what gives them their 3 star (as opposed to 0) rating. read more
