Wow! Wow! Wow! So I posted a review, earlier today, on another waxer from a different business. What I didn't mention was while I was waiting for her (the other waxer from the other place) to show, I was looking for someone else nearby. That's when I found Skin Spa on Yelp. I tried to book an appointment but I got off the application for a few minutes to take a personal call and to also give the other waxer an opportunity to show or at least call/text. When I went back on and tried again I was saddened to read that there were no more open appointments until tomorrow. Tomorrow's my birthday so I just accepted my fate that I'd have a date with my razor instead, because getting waxed isn't how I want to spend a milestone birthday. Anyhow, my husband gets a call from someone asking for me, around 5:25, and it's Marina from Skin Spa. She was asking about the appointment I made...pretty much politely checking to see where I was at because I had a 515 appointment booked. I called her back and apologized profusely because I didn't realize that the appointment actually booked---explains why when I tried again it said no appointments available until 5/31/17. I was thankful that she said that she'd wait for me so I rushed on over.... So let's backtrack, as I was saying in a previous post, earlier today, for a different waxer that karma is a B and maybe I shouldn't have been trying to cheat on my regular aesthetician. Well let me tell you, karma was on my side the whole time. She was saying, "you deserve an excellent, knowledgeable, clean, thorough, and friendly aesthetician and you don't have to drive a million miles to see her anymore." "Let me create circumstances that will help you find her." And that's exactly what she did! I am beyond ecstatic that I found Marina at the Skin Spa. The service went above and beyond my expectations. Conversation was great and the environment was inviting. She uses a hard wax, which I'm used to and love, because my lady bits and I don't like being tortured. I already booked my next appointment, because I've found my new place closer to home. I made an appointment with one of the new staff members, Ally Rawls for a therapeutic 90-minute massage. When I arrived the place appeared to be very clean which was comforting. Upon my arrival, my temperature was checked which always gives you a sense of peace of mind. A face covering was required by me but all of the staff on-site also have appropriate face coverings. The massage was exactly what I needed and had been waiting for. The therapist was very nice and seemed welcoming. She periodically checked with me about pressure or sensitive areas, but it was never excessive. The pressure and technique were perfect. I did not feel rushed in any way even though I was a few minutes late arriving at my appointment, nor was I rushed after getting dressed or vacating the room. Lastly, was greeted at the front desk with a chilled cup of water. I was also offered to book my next appointment but did not feel any sort of pressure in doing so. Overall this was my second time going to this place and I must admit it will not be my last. Great experience, I will highly recommend this place. read more

I was looking for a therapeutic massage to help easy my plantar fasciitis and overall relaxation. I made an appt. with Ally. She worked on my feet and also found the tension in my upper back that was creating pain and worked on that too. I felt relief and the pains I had felt were gone. I have been coming to Skin Spa since it opened. I have been very happy with the service and variety of things they offer. I enjoy the foot peel for sandle wearing in summer, which leaves smooth, soft, uncracked feet and heels for months , with just one application. The facial peels have taken years off my appearance, and allow me to not need to wear as much makeup, while looking spectacular.
