I went there for a facial that lasted an hour and a half (I think), and every product she put on my skin had a story behind it because she handcrafted each one with care and knowledge. She blew me away. Not only were the ingredients good for me; they were all natural and smelled amazing. I wanted to eat it! Her sweet puppy was there also who added to the experience because he was giving me so much furbaby love - teehee. I walked away at the end of my appointment with amazing skin as well as a couple amazing new products I've been loving at home! Oh, and I didn't even mention the space yet! When I walked into Adorn Apothecary, I felt like I stepped into a shop in Tibet! There were cool decor and furniture that looked very zen-like. The smells and the visuals all worked together. I can't wait to go back. Michelle was easy to work with and the space was so cool to be in.

We came to Santa Cruz for a sister vacation. The weather weeks before had been STUNNING however…read morefor our trip the first three days rained. That's ok a girl can pivot so we decided to do facials. I found Luna Beauty through yelp, and we booked two facials with Alexandra for one hour. Our plan was to go back to back. When we arrived we both wanted to add dermaplane and Alexandra recommended the 90 min oxygen facial. My sister and I agreed so we ended up splitting days. My sister had hers first and she was glowing. My sister said that she and Alexandra chatted a bit but mostly just quiet during the treatment. For me, Alexandra and I had some casual conversation up until the massage point. So if you're a girly who likes silence or a girly who can chat Alexandra will meet the energy. What I liked the most was the heated bed (!!), but mostly and the care Alexandra took to make sure my skin was not reactive. I tend to flush and she was conscientious about that for my treatment. It was my favorite facial experience to date and I've booked her already for May and June. Yes I'm traveling to her!! Self care weekends for life!

They made me feel right at home, and the whole visit felt like a luxury experience. I got a luxury deluxe pedicure and manicure, and they really took their time. The pedicure included a warm soak, detailed nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, a deep scrub, paraffin wax, lotion, and a long, relaxing leg and foot massage. I literally fell asleep. They finished with hot towels and perfect French tips. For my manicure, they were just as detailed; perfect shaping, clean cuticles, and a flawless French tip. The hand and arm massage was also amazing and not rushed at all. What I loved most is they all worked on me at the same time, so I could fully relax while still getting top-quality service. They kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable and happy. You can tell they truly care about their work, everything felt high-end and done with intention. Plus, the location is perfect, right by the beach, near Marianne's Ice Cream, Manuel's Mexican Restaurant, and Safeway. I'll definitely be coming back

Pros- they take their time and are fairly clean…read more Cons- They are extremely pushy, won't take no for an answer when it comes to upgrading your service to the most expensive options, and the last time I was there, the nail tech pulled me aside to tell me the manager withholds tips from the techs and not to give her any tip money for our services. I felt extremely uncomfortable and was not sure what to do. I paid the manager for our three services, and tipped the two techs only- even through the two techs and the manager worked on us. I hope the techs are safe and okay. This was a very weird experience to be in and I still don't know what to think. I shared this information with a local friend, who said this is a clear sign of human trafficking- which she is trained in. I'm not sure what to think. I didn't report them, but I won't be back. Debating if I should do more to ensure the safety of the employees.
