I work full time and I can't just take off for a body treatment. She called me and spoke with me and confirmed the appointment for that Saturday. It was confirmed. I show up exactly at our agreed time on the Saturday we agreed upon. The salon is locked. It is 97 degrees outside and the sun is blazing on me. I wait in the sun for 10 minutes before I give up and call the salon to leave a message about my appointment. I had childcare that day so I could get my skin some much needed attention. It was all paid for. Then I get a call from Hanna. She started telling me how she called and left multiple messages and texts informing me she had cancelled. I told her I've got nothing from her. Then she tells me how I never confirmed my appointment. I remind her that she personally spoke with me on the phone to confirm it. After she is done defending how it's not much of her fault for ruining my Saturday, I lose all my patience and ask her if she had been contacting a wrong number. She realizes that was a possibility. Offers me an alternate day. I had to accept after a 25 minutes argument that she wasn't going to show up and that was a day completely wrecked. It messed with me because spa days are supposed to be relaxing and this woman clearly just didn't get it. She calls me back in a few minutes confirming she had the wrong number all along, a mistake she made noting it down. So why the 5 stars? I got her microdermabrasion facial today. She was AMAZING. She is very talented, but that's not what got her 5 stars. She made me feel like she genuinely made a mistake, she compensated for my childcare expenses with a service and she went above and beyond to make this a great experience for me. It was impossible to stay mad at her. Even when her errs, she wins. As far as her skills are concerned, she is PERFECT. I'll never look for another aesthetician again.

I purchased a Groupon for 2 Brazilian waxes…read more Firstly, it was difficult to make my initial appointment for my 1st wax. I called a few times during business hours and nobody answered the phone. They don't have a way for you to make an appointment online (I didn't need a consultation since it was a Brazilian and a pre-purchased Groupon so I didn't feel like I fit that criteria.) I finally was able to make an appointment and it was easy. Making the 2nd appointment was easier and I was able to make it after the 2nd call earlier in the day. On my first visit there was someone at the front desk, but on my 2nd visit nobody was at the desk and the aesthetician had to leave a session she was in to greet me. She was professional, but someone should've definitely been at the desk or there needs to be some type of program in place to ensure people are greeted when they arrive. Had I not had an appointment, I would've left. The space is calm and all of the staff were extremely friendly and inviting, but like many of the other reviews mention they are a bit pushy with their products. It didn't make me uncomfortable, but I can see how it would be a turnoff to many others. Although the space is calm it could use some updating, but overall it was clean. My biggest complaint though is the fact that they use wax strips and not the hardening wax for their waxes. I've been getting waxed for a while and greatly prefer the hardening wax to the strips. For one, the wax is much warmer much longer with the strips and that's a sensitive area already. Also, the strips I find to be a bit more painful than the hardening wax. It's hard to get all of the hair gone and be precise AND it's messy! The aestheticians that I had were both really precise and professional and did an overall good job. I would've been much more pleased though with the hardening wax. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience, but I wouldn't return for a wax.
