Venezuelan Bowl

I love nothing more than to see a food truck that serves healthier options! You can taste the passion in the food and you are offered a menu with something for everyone to enjoy. The staff is super friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have.

Went there just to have breakfast my husband. Definitely going to recommend. Glad we went when we did as it wasn't so busy. The service was good as our server Ciara always checked on us. The ambiance was giving friendly and chill vibes. Had the tower breakfast and it was delicious. Their syrups for the waffle was auhmazing. Very yummy

Skillets will be one of the best breakfasts you will ever have in Salt Lake. I promise. The staff was eager to greet me and take my order. I chose the Tater Tot Skillet and the Breakfast Burrito. Ambiance is amazing on a sunny morning with their outdoor seating. They keep their tables clean and ready for customers. Both the Skillet and the Burrito were so hearty and satisfying. I'm obsessed with their house-made green sauce and their big portions. Prices are reasonable considering how much food you get! I'm always happy to support Skillets and recommend them. You will leave happy and full!

Breakfast Burrito and French toast flight

One of the best breakfast spots in SLC. Probably the best burrito too. Also that French toast flight is other worldly, definitely worth doing extra cardio for. Service was great too, may only suggestion is that they invest in an espresso machine, because that suits best the demographic they are attracting. As of writing they only had drip coffee which I didn't really have problem with.

Breakfast Burrito

Woke up craving a breakfast burrito. I'm new to SLC so came to Yelp and did a search for breakfast burritos and this food truck came up! I'm so glad I went out of my way to try this place. The reviews are true, the breakfast burrito SLAPS. I didn't think I would be able to finish the whole thing but it actually took restraint for me to stop and save some for my spouse to try. He also loved it! The person helping me was helpful and kind. Great customer service all around! My only problem is that it's not near my home. But I will be back for sure!

Fantastic breakfast burrito and friendly customer service! I'm looking forward to trying their other breakfast items soon.

Tater Tot Skillet

Tater Tot Skillet - Venezuelan steak, tater tots, avocado, fried egg, cheddar cheese, and their green sauce which was similar to chimichurri. AMAZING. The tater tots had thee most perfect crunch. The fried egg was perfectly runny. That steak was so juicy and flavorful. Sauce was amazing, could drink it. 12/10. The absolute perfect breakfast. Venezuelan Rice Bowl - Venezuelan steak, rice, beans, and coleslaw. Whatever dressing they put on their coleslaw has to have crack in it because it was the BEST coleslaw we have ever had. I will be dreaming about it forever. This dish was the perfect combination of warm & cold, soft & crunchy. Such an amazing lunch. 10/10. Service was super quick! Had our food within 5-7ish minutes of ordering. Staff was awesome - very kind, gave great recommendations. Location was awesome. Right across from Sweet Lakes and plenty of parking so we had no trouble pulling up.

Like others we tried this place bc the establishment across the way was very busy Service quick and food pretty good! There were two tables and umbrellas out front. We chose to go bc the generator was so incredibly loud. Couldn't hear each other at all.

10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND! If you want to eat some delicious savory food you came to the right place! The food was so phenomenal! Even my 5 year old loved it! My daughter and I ordered the tater tot skillet and wow the Venezuelan shredded steak was literally so damn incredible! Very tender and full of flavor. Along with the green cilantro sauce. Oh my. I wish I could've bought this in bulk to take home! My daughter wanted to eat it by the fork full! Definitely would recommend. My wife got the stuffed French toast and I had to steal a bite because it looked phenomenal! (She's not the best at picture taking lol) It cooked to perfection. Not an overwhelming taste of Nutella as I've tasted before. But the perfect balance to the French toast! Also got their cold juice and it was so refreshing! If we're ever back in town we're definitely going back again! The two owners were so incredibly sweet! So glad we could support a small local business!

First impressions walking in the vibe is nice, love an open concept kitchen, that way you can really see the efficiency and flow of the staff and that brings a bit of liveliness to the atmostphere. Bonus points for giving me to go cup so I could take the rest with me. For food I got the biscuit Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was a pretty lemony, but I really did enjoy it. In fact, I loved it's so much I came back the following weekend for the same thing, absolutely fantastic. The biscuit with all the fixings was absolutely delightful. Had me thinking about it for a week! 10 out of 10 Benedict from here.

The bacon was perfectly crispy, just how I like it. I opted for fresh fruit instead of potatoes, and I was so impressed with the beautiful, generous bowl of fresh berries that came out. They were playing such fun, hip music that it almost made you want to get up and dance! The service was exceptional, our food came out super fast, and everything was delicious. I've tried their Creme Brulee French Toast, biscuits and gravy, avocado toast, and today I tried their Perfect Omelette, but unfortunately all of them have been quite subpar. Unfortunately today was probably our worst experience. I ordered the Perfect Omelette because I saw it had avocado, but when I got it there was no avocado to be seen! Turns out they had run out but didn't tell me when I ordered, which honestly would have made me change my mind. The omelette tasted pretty bland to me, so I had to use plenty of ketchup and Cholula to help. I also usually like their brunch potatoes, but today they seemed less cooked and not as crispy. My bf enjoyed his Eggs Benedict per usual, but agreed the potatoes were worse than normal. Our server, who in the past has usually been quite attentive, was very slow and not attentive at all. He only checked on us to take our order (after we had been seated for at least 10 minutes), and then gave us our check at the end. A different person seemed to be helping him out by giving us water and serving us our food, which we appreciated, but nobody checked on us to see how we liked our meal. We saw people seated in other sections with different servers get seated after but attended to before us, which was a bit frustrating. We wondered if it was because our spot at the window bar seemed to be far from our server's other tables. We kept feeling like we'd been forgotten! Ambiance is very cute, modern, and IG-worthy. For me the food isn't great, but I'll keep working my way down the menu in an effort to find something I like since I know we'll be back for the Eggs Benedict haha. I think I'll try the pancakes next or I guess give the French toast another shot. If those don't work out, I might resort to just their orange juice (which is great because it's freshly squeezed, but unfortunately also room temperature as a result) and something a la carte. I'm giving them a 3/5 overall because service is usually better and because my bf still thinks they have the best EB in the county. But honestly I've never been somewhere where I've tried so many dishes and not liked any of them enough to order again. I also think their prices are high and keep inching up. $16 for their avocado toast is actually absurd! And I find it surprising that for a brunch place, they don't serve lattes/espresso. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine. I've attached all of the photos I've taken here, and you can almost tell how their quality has shifted. I hope they ultimately get better, not worse!

Pescatarian Verdict #stlouispescatarianapproved…read more Urban Hill threw me all the surprises. How did I not know about this spot? First, the crab stuffed chile relleno. This isn't just some random crab pepper situation. It's Chef Nick Zocco's winning dish from Beat Bobby Flay. It was a messy dish and I loved it! And yes, I ordered the seafood ravioli too because one seafood dish is NEVER enough. The Peekytoe crab ravioli comes with Stonington crab, vodka sauce, crispy Calabrese and fennel pollen. Urban Hill is a polished, modern decorated restaurant in Salt Lake's Post District with an oyster bar, raw bar, and wood fired grill. It's got a serious cocktail and wine program. The vibe was a little loud for me. I felt like I had to yell a bit. For a pescatarian, this is exactly the kind of menu I like walking into. I get some variety.

We had hoped for a more intimate atmosphere for our night out, however, the restaurant is definitely more lively and louder than a quiet intimate dinner out. There must have been a notable person sitting next to us because everyone it seemed that worked in the restaurant stopped by the table and had a conversation with this couple, and when the chef came out and walked right by us to have a conversation with the table next to us, that's when it dawned on me as a chef doesn't normally come out just to talk to a normal person like us. It was a little bit irritating with all the hoopla at the table next to us which put a little bit of damper on our anniversary meal. Especially when our waiter devoted significant time to the "special" table leaving us feeling a bit neglected in a top-tier restaurant like Urban Hill. However, the meal itself was delicious.

Never again! This place lost our business for good!…read more We arrived at 12:45 and were told a 45 min to 1 hour wait. We were fine with it, so we waited. From our seats by the counter, we watched party after party who came in after us get seated first. When my brother asked why, we were told others were "ahead of us" except there was no one else waiting, and tables were sitting empty. Meanwhile we watched a single guest that had just walked in get sat at a table for four, while we'd been waiting over an hour. Whatever the reason for who got prioritized, it wasn't wait time. We only got seated when someone offered us an outside table just to get us out of the lobby. Then it got worse! The menus were dropped on the table with zero interaction, an item missing from our order, and some of it wrong. They served us coffee in a regular tall glass. Like the ones typically used for water which made the coffee get cold before we finished our meal. Honestly, this was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant! Bad service, preferential treatment to some people. I will not recommend it. We won't be back.
