Very cute bakery + sit down restaurant. My mother and I came for lunch and we had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque and the eggs Benedict. However, I would say if you're passing by to get their pastries because they were absolutely delicious. I completely forgot to take a picture before devouring it whole. It's also a nice spot to sit outside, drink coffee, and people watch.
Popular spot but was a little bit disappointed. Cute inside and lots of sweet bakery options. You walk in to the line. While in line you can see the offerings but you can't order until you get to the end of the line. Staff should be available to grab pastries for you so you can just POINT to what you want and don't have to remember the names. Ordered four pastries and a flat white latte. The size of the latte was super tiny (6 ounces maybe?). Had a cinnamon roll and it was WAY TOO SWEET. Ordered a KOUIGN and it was just ok, have had better. The chocolate croissant was probably my favorite choice. Not a great value either, spent about $35.
Don't let the word bakery in the name of this place fool you. It's actually a bustling cafe with a bakery in the storefront. And boy, the pastries are so tempting. I actually made a special trip back to buy the almond coated almond croissant. I've never seen so many almonds atop of a croissant before. It was delicious, with a large amount of filling. I came by myself for lunch during a break from my conference sessions. I settled on the margarita flatbread, which was like a thin crust pizza. I really enjoyed it. I see by all the pictures of it that it is a popular menu item. I'd order it again if I had more time in Salt Lake. Service was pleasant. They were quick busy on an early workday afternoon.
This place is a must visit when in Salt Lake City! Must!!! Beautiful ambiance, amazing variety of pastries and breakfast/lunch options. Such an organized and well managed place! Every person is super warm and helpful!
I love the vibe here, just 10/10. Super cute and retro and the guy at the counter was nice and telling me all abt his favorite pastries. All the pastries looked so decadent and freshly baked and I've loved each one I've had (also had the pecan sticky bun). Overall favorite was probably the kouign amann
Not quite the experience I expected. The Parisian-styled cafe was romantic and bustling. In the case, the delicate and buttery crust on the pastries caught our eyes. Ordering 1 blueberry danish, 2 french dip specials, and 1 latte, we spent nearly $50, a price we were comfortable paying if the food and experience were spectacular. However, this was not the case. The blueberry danish was quite good, though I have had better 7/10. On the other hand, the french dips threw us off completely. The salad had no dressing, the beef was extremely dry and springy, and the au jus was devoid of flavor. The best part was the baguette, but that was expected since the establishment is a bakery. My partner ordered a side of potatoes, rather than a salad, and they were extremely soggy, bland, and weirdly spreadable. Learn from our mistakes and do not order anything savory from here. It might be best to stick with their pastries and staples.

I must admit I learned the first day that their coffee drinks were not worth the wait. But OMG the pastries are to die for. I wasn't able to visit for lunch because it was so crowded but it looked amazing.
Great brunch! Pastries were really tasty and nicely laminated, potatoes and avocado toast were seasoned well, and the lattes were good. Service was great - server was very friendly and attentive. Really nice ambiance for a casual brunch.
Sit down or to go bakery in the center of downtown SLC. Eva's is a wonderful French bakery that offers selections of a hearty meal or a quick bite of a pastry. We opted for the sit down to get the full experience of Eva's, and we went with a simple order of potatoes, French onion soup and the cookie butter latte. Potatoes were herbal and cooked to a soft texture. We were kind of expecting a hash, but I think this is style of this cuisine. Nonetheless, they were still yummy. French onion soup was delicious pairing with slices of bread. The controversy of bay leaf was found in our soup, and I am on the side that you can taste bay leaf (which I love). Cookie butter latte was amazing. It was not too sweet and overpowering but had its punch in flavor that makes it memorable. Would recommend ordering this drink. I wish we saw the seasonal menu, because the citrus latte sounded pretty good. For the items we ordered, the total price was about $20. Fair for a great spot in a busy area.

I was in a hurry to get my kids back home for their nap so I ran in quick to order. I was waited on quickly, and given a recommendation which I took. It was hard to decide! I can say, no matter what you order, you made the right choice!
Came on a Monday at around 9:30 and did the bistro style dining (order at the counter and find a table, no table service aside from them bringing you your food). I think that's the move actually. There was a line of people ordering but it moved. Only one person handling the cash register while also grabbing the pastries for the people, so that slowed down the line. I got their almond croissant from their pastries and the quiche Lorraine and their beets avocado toast. The quiche Lorraine was not bad, it came with a choice of potatoes, salad, or both. It was cheesy but not overpowering. The beets avocado toast was definitely different. The beets gave it a more refreshing taste. Their bread was really good. The almond croissant was my least favorite... they warm up the pastries before giving it to you. It was flaky, but when biting into it, it was soft in the middle, but the edges were a bit hard, as if the edges hadn't baked completely. I went to the register to ask them if it's supposed to be like that, and the guy said yes, and that he's "had a lot of almond croissants" so he "would know". I found that a bit snarky and not sure if that was his intention. But he did give me the option of getting a refund or replacing the pastry for another one. I decided to try their chocolate almond croissant which was a bit better. I was excited to try their breads/pastries given they're supposed to be a boulangerie. The pastries were a let-down, but their bread seemed to be good. The outside of the shop has a nice blue wall painting, definitely standing out from the rest. The inside can be a bit hectic, especially by the pastries bar. Not sure if I'd visit again, but maybe just for a loaf of bread.
Drove through SLC and stopped by Eva's and it was great. The servers were super helpful because I was indecisive and the vibes in there were great with a super nice seating area. The strawberries were super fresh and so was the croissant.
I don't live in SLC, but will have to come back to Eva's Bakery each time I visit! It's so yummy! I'm always a fan of a bakery and does good breakfast/ lunch as well. Their croissants, kouign Amann, quiche Lorraine, and croissant sandwich are all menu items I recommend! Their dishware is so cute too. Service is very friendly!

Best bakery ever!!! So so good. I went back three different mornings. The ham and cheese croissant has such good flavor and flaky crust. The strawberry croissant had a subtle sweet cream which wasn't overly sweet. The coffee was great! I recommended this place to anyone who asked :) read more
What a darling cafe! It's my namesake and it's perfect. There's outdoor seating like you're in Paris, and their pastries crumble into a million crumbs as a buttery pastry at a boulangerie should (this is a compliment). I came here twice in three days. Each time, I ordered a pastry and an iced americano. First time: ham & cheese pastry + coffee Second time: chocolate almond croissant + coffee There is an à la carte/cafe and dine-in option. I did not dine in here, but ordered breakfast twice. You pick your pastries and order coffee with the person at the register in the cafe area, pay, and then pick up your coffee in the pick-up area near the front entrance (right side). They will offer to hear up your pastry for you, say yes every time. Eva's Bakery is just très charmante. I did get a sticker to take home (ask if you want one!) and apparently they are sister restaurants with "Eva" that is pretty close by. One of the baristas that works here in the morning also works at the Eva's bar at night. Apparently, I was told Eva's Bakery and Eva's is kind of a hidden secret even from the locals. Either you know it or you don't. I love that this spot is in downtown SLC so that I could visit while I was here. It's definitely a place to come back to as much as you can. AMAZING pastries, good coffee, friendly baristas, and outdoor seating: you can't go wrong. Five shining stars! read more

This place is just too cute! I was able to walk here from the Hilton during a conference, easy walk and nice to get out. I had seen this bakery as an option and really wanted to try it. Well, I must have loved it since I went twice!! First day tried the BLT as well as a chocolate croissant which is to seriously die for, it is a must. Kiaya (lord I hope that is right) was my server and she was excellent. I had a Pellegrino Blood Orange soda along with my lunch and loved the salad dressing as well! The sandwich was with 1/2 salad and 1/2 potatoes, yum yum. The second time, I had Connor (he will remember Sheldon) who served me. He was awesome. I tried out a blueberry mimosa, an iced mocha and a water (I had been walking a lot and was tired and thirsty, don't judge). Then I just wanted that dang BLT again! I also ordered another almond chocolate croissant (I know, I know, should have tried something else). Well I did get a cookie too! My lunch was taking a little long, so they also brought out a couple of pastry items to try as well, so yum yum! The Chocolate Macaroon was also so wonderful and I cannot say enough about this quaint spot. It did fill up during lunch on the Thursday, so get there early or late! PROS: Main street, easy access from transportation/offices Great selection of homemade pastries Nice choices for drinks (obviously, I tried a few) Super quaint bistro style inside Outside seating under shade and a tree Attentive and exceptional employees (CONNOR) CONS: Parking may be an issue, although some on-street parking available DON'T THINK, JUST GO! Stopped here before taking my family back to the airport for a quick bite and it was so cute inside! We ordered at the front and they brought everything out pretty fast. Food: Croissant sandwich with bacon, Avocado toast, Tomato soup with their sourdough, and an almond croissant -- all were tasty Bevs: special latte and a chai latte -- the chai wasn't as strong as I liked, but the cafe latte was good read more

Really nice friendly bright place, perfect for a good lunch date. Normally I come here to grab a coffee and run out but I'm glad I finally ate here. The croque madame came with potatoes and a little side salad, plenty of food. The croque was good of course but I didn't know the potatoes were going to be this good, honestly. I will definitely come back to try more different food. read more
The people are so nice! This is a restaurant. The tomato-basil soup was wonderful with the best grilled cheese sandwich ever! My daughter had a delicious chicken pesto sandwich. Unfortunately, we had to take our's to go. We have had it door dashed before also. When I went in to pick up I saw the goodies and had to add to my order! A baguette, some coconut macaroons, etc! I will attach pictures of the goodies available. And they make a wonderful chai tea! Be sure to stop by! And don't skip the eclairs! You will thank me! They serve breakfast too and if someone has the stuffed French toast please let me know if it is as good as I think it will be!! read more

I really enjoyed Eva's bakery. I got the croques madame and it was delicious. I highly recommend this eating establishment. They also have lots of yummy croissants and baked goods. You can take food to go or sit down and have a waiter serve you. read more
Went on a Tuesday afternoon to pick up coffee. Also picked up the date cake. Great latte and love the date cake. A sweet but not overly. There was no line and just ordered it to go. Its a very cute blue exterior. Will be back the bext time in SLC. read more
My wife and I went to breakfast here in earlier January and it was great! My favorite item by far was the Kouign-amann. We ordered four of them to go after our breakfast because they were so good (fluffy, chewy, caramelized.) The coffee and latte options were my next favorite things. My only complaint is the seating setup. We were placed at a table that felt like we were in the middle of the walkway and consistently had to shift or scoot to let customers and staff get by us. read more
Eva's was recommended to us by the hotel staff when we were looking for a delicious and unique breakfast spot. It's located on a busy downtown street along the trolley line, in a vintage building painted in blue and gold. There are café tables out front under shady trees, and inside you'll find an amazing counter of pastries and sandwiches, with additional seating in the back. Hint: Many people stand in line, order, and take their food and drinks to-go. If you want to sit in the restaurant, you can skip the line and wait by the dining area. A staff member will ask if you'd like a table and will seat you. We came on two consecutive mornings (because the first visit was so good). Over our two visits, we tried the Almond Chocolate Croissant, Vegetable Quiche, and Roasted Beef & Avocado Toast. Everything was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, generous portions, and beautifully presented. You can tell they make everything with care. They also offer all the usual coffee drinks, and my London Fog Tea Latte was very good. Service on both visits was professional, efficient, and patient. Even though it was always busy, we never felt rushed. The dining room was full but quiet enough to have a conversation. I would have loved to take more pastries to-go, but we were too full. It was my first time visiting and I was really excited since I've heard about this coffee shop for a while. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed due to the customer service. I ordered two cappuccinos and asked if they could be served in mugs so I could take a cute photo. The barista seemed annoyed by the request, and the drinks were made carelessly, one was cold and had spilled over the side. When I asked which one was the oat milk cappuccino, the response felt unfriendly and dismissive. I also wasn't given a fork or plate for my dessert and at that point I honestly felt uncomfortable asking for anything else. Overall, the three baristas working didn't seem welcoming, and the experience just didn't match the excitement I had walking in. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

I was in the mood for European-type pastries and food; and decided to spontaneously check out Eva for that reason. Had to find street parking and pay thru the app (scan QR code to dl). Just make sure you select the right zone and space #. I believe Saturday and Sunday are free street parking, but of course, always check the signs. I walked in and immediately got seated with no reservations. The place is cute, clean, charming and quaint. It gave me soft French Easter morning vibes. All the staff, from the pastry section to the dining area, were attentive, nice, and helpful. I ordered the quiche Lorraine (half salad+half potatoes) and iced chamomile tea. Quiche was light, buttery, and fluffy. Yums! The iced chamomile tea was a bit watered down, since they steeped it hot and added ice after. So, I basically got a room temp tea with melted ice, which is the reason I'm taking off 1 star. At the end, I left happy either way with a box of pastries--blueberry Danish, classic croissant, and kouign amann. Def coming back to try more items and will opt for outdoor seating next time. read more
Such a beautiful spot with total Parisian vibes! Came in on a Saturday morning. It was busy, but we still got seated in about 10 minutes. The food was chef's kiss, especially the scalloped potatoes. Eva's Bakery is a quaint little spot with a Parisian vibe. I tried the raspberry kouign amann, which was flaky and crispy. The chai latte was a bit too milky for my taste and could have used a bit more spice. The service was friendly but not very attentive. Paid street parking is available. read more

Me and my husband were looking for breakfast in SLC downtown on a Sunday morning and we could not find anything open except for a few bakeries. We settled on Eva's bakery and were pleasantly surprised. When we walked in, there was a huge amount of delicious pastries, we were seated and given menus. We were given water glasses and were given a minute. the indoors was pretty tiny so we sat in the bar area with mirrors. I ordered the stuffed French toast and my husband got the egg crossaint sandwich. My French toast was big! It came out warm it was lemon compot and blueberries purée drizzled on top. It was yum! I was able to eat half of it before it became too heavy or too much for me. My husband enjoyed his crossaint sandwich, the crossaint was crispy, the potatoes were buttery. This was a good find! I used the restroom at the very end which I was glad I waited because it was not the cleanest. Overall food and service was good! You can tell everything is made in house, pastries look delicious! read more
When I say this is a new favorite for me, I'm not kidding. My only complaint is that I wish it was closer to me the food was phenomenal, service was exceptional and we got seated right away on a Wednesday morning! I heard about Eva's a couple days before we went and I'm so glad our friend told us. For sure check it out if you need breakfast, pastries or coffee in SLC! read more
This is an amazing bakery. I am not a fan of sandwiches in general, unless it is special. The sandwich here is very special. The turkey avocado sandwich comes in Dutch crunch bread. It is absolutely my favorite bread and not many places offer this type of bread. That in itself makes the sandwich very special. The pastries are freshly baked and the chocolate croissant is big and fluffy and crunchy. Parking is via street parking. Casual. Great service. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

Does eva's have chocolate chip cookies?
On our visit to Eva's, the case was packed with lovely french pastries, croissants, tarts, cakes and the like. The only cookies were a variety of French maracons, which were delicious!!
