Been coming here for about 8 months and definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to sit and chill with food and a large drink menu. Coffee: They have seasonal menus that are usually creative and cater to a variety of flavor profiles. For the most part, the seasonal drinks can be hit or miss: I liked all the ones on their winter menu (especially the sugar cookie latte) but this summer I think all the drinks have been too sweet and the sweeteners/syrups aren't actually mixing in with the coffee (for example the mango matcha and cannoli cold brew there is a layer of sweetener at the bottom that doesn't mix no matter how hard you try). They rotate out their drip coffee and have a lot of different drink options. They have a lot of syrups and support a lot of sugar-free options. Food: I love the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel! Some of the lunch items are kind of poor and I don't think made in house (like the taquitos) but all the breakfast sandwiches are good and the pastries have been great! Pretty sure the donuts they serve are the Banbury Cross Donuts (very good, in the realm of dessert donuts). Ambiance: One of the only coffee shops in downtown SLC with comfortable seats and plenty of room. Plus there are free games you can play and a really beautiful library/gallery style wall. Cleanliness: Usually decent, once I saw a dying cockroach under my table and usually some debris people leave behind on the floor and table - I usually come during busy/peak times so the staff doesn't get a chance to clean the mess right away but I have seen them sweep during the down times. read more

I remember this coffee spot being good, but not memorable. It's about a month after my visit that I am writing this review, and I can't think of anything that made this place stand out, positive or negative. I recall the vibes being funky, the iced Americano being delicious, the mango matcha being pricey, and the service being just ok. The mango matcha had this mango puree at the bottom, but it didn't seem fresh, nor did it add much to the matcha. The pastry selection here was strong. I tried an old-fashioned maple donut, which was fantastic, but my wife was slightly disappointed with the chia pudding's flavor and consistency. We ended up at Cupla because it was close to our hotel in downtown SLC, and it was not a letdown. However, I don't know that I would go out of my way to come here again. read more

Stopped by this cute coffee shop for an ice coffee before hitting the museum down the way. They are lots of indoor and outdoor seating and you can tell that people love this spot. The ice coffee hit the spot on this hot summer afternoon. Service was good. The only downfall is how they charge you a credit card fee for using your credit card. This is something that they should already factor into their cost of business. We live in a digital world and to be honest, the amount of people carrying cash around nowadays is not that high. read more

My experience at Cupla was so disappointing. I stopped by on Friday afternoon with a couple of friends, and we all disliked our drinks. I got an Ube White Latte. I'm a huge ube fan and generally like white espresso, but I didn't enjoy my drink. Overall, my latte tasted more like a watered-down ube milk. There was virtually no espresso flavor. I know white espresso is milder in flavor, but I really didn't taste anything. I took a sip of my friend's Brown Sugar Fig Latte. It was also so watery. I was looking forward to finally trying Cupla after hearing great things from friends, but sadly it did not live up to my expectations. It is really cute inside with plenty of seating. There is paid street parking nearby. read more

Looking for a cafe to get some work done on the laptop. Very solid space overall. The indoor is a good size and there are outlets at various seats. There is also a small outdoor patio. The wifi is really good and the staff is very nice. read more

This little coffee spot was just across the road from the hotel and I'm not one to pass up trying new coffee shops. I did have difficulty finding the door since they apparently had an issue and one glass door was covered by wood and the other had a padlock on it. The padlock door was the one you used but that was not immediately apparent. Regardless I figured it out and got in. It's a nice open and airy space with lots of tables and some seating. There appeared to be only two people working which proved to be an issue. They had a nice selection of breakfast items including donuts, oatmeal, yogurt, and chocolate pastries. The coffee selection was nice and they seemed knowledgeable about the specials. My friend asked about the yogurt and was told it was not Greek yogurt to her delight (spoiler alert it was) and she got that and the latte special. I got the special, OJ and a pastry. They gave me my OJ and we sat down to wait for the coffee and the warmed pastry. We chatted and waited. Her coffee came and then mine but no pastry so I reminded them. They had never taken it out of the microwave! anyway... the pastry was actually amazing. Cherry danish for the win. The coffee drink was so-so. I like mine sweeter and I didn't taste the honey. Despite all of the delays I really thought they had a nice place and the food and drinks were good. I would go back. read more

Terrible matcha and it was $10 including 15% tip. Tasted like grass, matcha not thoroughly mixed, just not good quality. Never again. Can't speak for the coffee. read more

Swung by after eating breakfast at Baby's Bagels and scored a parking spot right in front. We ordered a cortado (husband said it had a little too much milk) and a Holy Cannoli cold brew (cold brew with vanilla syrup and pistachio cold foam). The place is huge with lots of seats and tables inside. You can even find a collection of board games to play. We thought our coffees were fine and nothing special. Our toddler liked their blueberry donut. We'll try their coffee again another time. read more

This is a charming, comfortable coffee shop with absolutely beautiful pastries and a better than average breakfast and lunch menu. Lines can get long because the place is popular. The coffee drinks were delicious. The donuts and bagels are fresh. I would have loved to have tried one of their breakfast or lunch creations but those will have to wait until the next time. As far as I can tell, it's street parking only. But this is good coffee and very good food options in an inviting spot. The high reviews are warranted. read more

Good coffee, chill vibes, and WiFi to post up for some work...a winning combo at Cupla Coffee! I had one of their specials, an ube white latte, and it was outstanding. Great espresso prepared well, paired with a subtle ube that made for a delicious drink. I also had a chia pudding cup, which was tasty. The venue is good for doing some work or chatting with a friend; not too quiet, not too loud. Bring headphones if some ambient noise is going to be an issue, and you'll be fine. read more

Every time I've walked past this spot, it's been busy, so I finally stopped in to see what the hype was about. No surprise, it was still busy, but thankfully there's plenty of seating, which makes it a solid place get some work done. I kept it simple with an iced Americano; smooth, strong, and exactly what I needed. The dessert selection wasn't anything to rave about. Overall ambiance is nice; comfortable, lively. That said, prices felt a little steep for what you get compared to other coffee shops nearby. Overall, a good café for coffee and productivity, just maybe not the best bang for your buck. read more

Cool spot in downtown SLC. It get's busy here but quiet enough to do some work or read a book. I got the iced americano. It was good but not the best I've had. Id recommend getting the 16oz as a 12oz is just not enough. A lot of people were ordering the house white latte, I'll try that next time. read more

Having lived next to Cupla in the past, and now moving back recently, we were excited to have our favorite neighborhood coffee shop back. In the two years that we'd been away, It seems like they have undergone a management change, as their menu and quality has completely changed. We ordered quad shot white espresso lattes which we had loved the last time we lived here and ordered every week and were very disappointed in the results this go around. Both drinks tasted like watered down milk, not just milk, but like less flavorful milk. To say the least that is not only what I don't want in my latte, but also truly perplexing as to how it occured when you would think the 4oz of white espresso would have boosted the flavor profile considerably. Looking at other recent reviews this seems to be a known issue and I can only hope that Cupla takes these reviews seriously and returns to the quality I know they are capable of. read more

Checked out a lively coffee spot in downtown Salt Lake called Cupla Coffee. I went on a weekday morning and there were about 10 people ahead of me, but the line moved quickly. The staff was very friendly, took their time recommending one of their house-made syrups, and still kept things moving fast. I also tried a blueberry old fashioned donut, and it was tender, bright, and really tasty. My drink was great too, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming vibe. I'd definitely come back. read more

A complete letdown. We stayed at the nearby Hyatt Regency, and this coffee shop came highly recommended as the number one spot in the area. As coffee lovers always looking for the next best experience, this fell completely short. The service was incredibly disappointing--the staff at the counter were inattentive and actually forgot our coffees entirely. When we finally got them, the coffee itself was a letdown. Definitely not the top-tier experience we expected. read more

Unfortunately, our experience at Cupla Coffee was really disappointing. Their online menu and what is actually available in-store seem to be completely inconsistent.. The grab-and-go frittata is listed as available all day, but when we went in, we were told the kitchen was closed and they couldn't make it for us. The atmosphere also felt off from the moment we walked in; we stood there for several minutes waiting to order without anyone greeting or acknowledging us. When we were finally helped, the employee was very short with us and not particularly accommodating. Between the inaccurate menu information and the poor service, we decided to just leave. We definitely won't be coming back. read more

In town for a conference, and stopped here for lunch. Had the chicken salad sandwich, which was one of the best I have ever had. They spread the chicken on both pieces of lightly toasted bread, then fill the middle with spring mix lettuce, generously sliced tomatoes, and delicious pickled red onions. Hearty without being heavy! The staff were friendly and helpful; I was trying to choose between items and the counter staff recommended the chicken salad, and I am so glad I asked. The interior has plenty of seating and tables, and they also have a small outdoor patio. Cupla is worthy of your time and cash! read more

Loooove that they made specials for the Young Living convention with their essential oils! Food quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Value: 5/5 First time trying Cupla Coffee and overall, it was a good experience. I stopped by on a Saturday morning and it was fair busy, but the wait to order wasn't too bad. The staff was nice and the coffee came out quickly, but my only complaint was that the tables were not being bussed in between customers. There were several tables that were not cleaned and you could see several customers wiping down their own tables from the previous customer. The trash was also overflowing too and there is some room for improvement there. Other than that, the pricing was fair and the coffee was great. read more

We randomly came in here and were very pleasantly surprised. The line was really long to order and took awhile but once we ordered the coffee came up quick. The interior is a bit eclectic. There's a lot going on, but none of it really matches. There's a fun game shelf to play while you enjoy your treats. The coffee is pretty good, and a popular item of course. But I think everyone was eating the donuts! They're cake donuts so not my thing, but they were fresh. It's a run of the mill coffee shop, good proximity to hotels downtown, but nothing overly special. read more

I wish there was an option to give 3.5 stars. The overall aesthetic of the shop is absolutely beautiful and very inviting. I also appreciate its central location; it's conveniently walkable from many spots downtown. That said, I'd have to agree with a previous reviewer.. in regard to the matcha. I had a pistachio matcha and was a bit bland and didn't quite meet expectations. Still, the atmosphere and location make it worth visiting, and I look forward to trying other items on the menu. read more

Food was outstanding. Service was great. Ambiance was charming! Definitely recommend for healthier breakfast options.

Cozy, elegant cafe with delectable coffee! We swung by for an afternoon pick-me-up. Great spread of snacks and food. I picked up a lil parfait as a snack. Nearby, we saw some folks playing board games or studying together. Seems to be a nice spot to hang with friends. Servers are friendly & quick as well. SALTED CARAMEL MATCHA LATTE (iced, w/oat milk): This is h e a v y on the salted caramel flavor, especially the salted part. Tasted delicious but more like a caramel latte with hints of matcha. I actually liked this a bit more after the ice melted to dilute the sweetness. That being said, my bf loved his Blueberry Muffin latte, which did taste exactly like a blueberry muffin! Their syrups are great. read more

Was looking for some coffee on Saturday morning and Cupla Coffee was a great spot. There were a lot of people at 9 AM, so I needed to wait a bit to order and get my drink. While reviewing their menu, I really liked the amount of customize options they had. I decided to go for an iced lavender latte with 2 shots of espresso and oat milk. Cool coffee place a couple minute walk from the Hilton where I stayed. They have breakfast and lunch items. The baristas were efficient, though not necessarily the friendliest. I ordered a Bagel & Cream Cheese and an Iced Chai. I also got an Old Fashioned Donut to go for my BF, which he said was good. Since I was going to enjoy my breakfast there, they gave me my drink then a number for my food. Another employee brought out my bagel and cream cheese. I didn't realize until then that I would've liked the bagel toasted but didn't think about it and it wasn't offered. I ended up looking at the menu later and it did say toasted but it wasn't but it was fine anyway. Iced Chai was good. Lots of seating and people hanging out on laptops, phones etc. They even have board games available to play. Outdoor seating as well. Nice relaxing vibe. read more

I enjoyed a "culpa-coffee" from this place! Great coffee but it could have used a bit more caramel and the coffee wasn't very roasted or potent, which I like my coffee with those bitter notes. But the foam design they did was very impressive! I liked that artistic touch. In terms of the service, it wasn't the greatest, I'm guessing they were still training some workers so it's quite reasonable. The ambiance was very eye catching in terms of the interior design but it was a bit packed and rushed. read more
