I really like heading to District Coffee when I need to get some studying done. It's pretty quiet and I love the view from upstairs. Seating is very limited so I like to come early. My favorites are their Galentine's Latte and Banana Bread Latte. The food here is also great and the portions are massive. I love their Magnifigcent. The service is kind of hit or miss. Some baristas are really friendly and others not so much. Parking can be difficult since a lot of spots have a two hour time limit but if you don't mind a bit of a walk you can usually find a spot. read more

This place is so cute! the service was awesome, have sooo many flavors and cool combos of drink options. I had a latte that had strawberry and vanilla notes. The strawberry tasted a little artificial but overall it was still good coffee. Did a solid work bloc upstairs and it was so nice and peaceful to have a view while eating and enjoying breakfast. This is a cute coffee shop with enormous pastries and breakfast food offerings beyond what you might expect. We tried the Millennial sandwich which was made with beautifully fluffy scrambled eggs , melted cheese, and ham on thick, crusty, country bread. It comes with a small wedge of avocado and hot sauce in a cup on the side. It's a very satisfying breakfast sandwich. The iced coffee drinks we got were well prepared. There are plenty of interesting food and drink options here which would justify return visits. The staff clearly works hard and churns out everything quickly. read more

I've been touring through the valley for coffee shops and think that this one is in my top 5 for the coffee itself. Fantastic americano, which is saying a lot. The shop is a repurposed building, which makes it fun, interesting design that makes it feel intimate but providing a fair amount of space. The staff is super friendly and add to the vibe of the shop. This is an ideal shop for a light snack with friends, or a caffeine fueled study/work session. read more

We have visited Salt Lake City for the first time and my dad and I went on the walk every morning for a cup of coffee w pastry! Disctict coffee was not the closest but it have delicious coffee and pastries for every taste! Space is very cozy and inviting. District coffee is located near the capitol. They do not have their own parking lot, however there is free street parking, there are 2 hour spots, but there are also unlimited time spots. They have lots of specialty drinks and they have a variety of sizes up to 24 oz with 4 shots of espresso! They also have a food breakfast menu as well! I got the curious George latte and it was absolutely delicious. The coffee shop is 2 levels. There are 3 bar seats facing the window on the bottom floor and there are outlets along the wall. Upstairs is small and cozy, there are a couple tables, bar seats, and lounging chairs. There are so many windows which makes it a great place to do work, study, read a book, or talk, and they do have wifi! Overall I definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

Stopped in for a quick coffee before heading to Primary Children's hospital and it is such a cute little shop off the main road. I ordered an iced tiramisu latte (wrong choice of syrup since tiramisu's flavor is already espresso) and my partner a cappuccino. The drinks were ready rather fast and we both enjoyed them! Needed a pick me up in the middle of the day. What a cute neighborhood corner coffee shop. Near the capitol and pioneer museum where I was coming from. Street parking only. Got the Frozen mocha 24oz which was so good. I had it late I. The day and it kept me up all night, but still that was my fault for drinking so much late in the day. They had pastries - the lemon poppy seed scone was great. I also got the other one that's packed away. Love that the bathrooms had feminine products and that their was a water bowl for dogs passing by. The outside had a chairs for folks to sit and enjoy the good weather and son. Cute. Very quaint, neighborhood coffee shop! My boyfriend and I wanted an easy breakfast/brunch and stumbled upon this place. It's very cute, and you can tell it's a go-to for the neighborhood it's in. The baristas (and maybe owners?) knew some customers by name (ie regulars) and some others you could tell just woke up, threw on a jacket over their PJs, and hopped over. Super cool. The shop is small, though there is an upstairs and outdoor seating. It has a minimalist decor, free wifi, and!! free women's hygiene items in the bathroom. As far as the food! The coffee was freshly brewed and good! We got the magnificent and millennial. The magnificent is on the sweeter side because of the jam and balsamic. The millennial is the no frills egg sandwich. We ended up liking the millennial best. Can't wait to try the scones (that we'll have later!) read more

District Coffee is a hidden gem! This coffee shop is not huge but immediately when j entered I could tell it is loved by the community. There was a big line ahead of me. While this normally isn't an issue, I believe my next visit I will make sure I don't have to hurry off to work. I loved the seasonal menu so I chose the Lotta Horchata iced. It was delicious and not too sweet! I noticed that they have a beautiful selection of bakery goods and next time I think I'll try a bagel. The staff is kind and I noticed the barista gave customers discounts for patiently waiting while they were understaffed. Such a nice gesture! Stopped by this cute little neighborhood coffee shop because it's open late and I needed to kill some time. It's tiny inside but it's light and bright, cute decor, clean with lots of seating, friendly service. Didn't know what to order and the barista recommended a London Fog which was delicious. Polite enough staff, cute space, but the cappuccino was disgusting. I couldn't even finish it. The espresso was so bitter and acrid, not smooth at all. I watched her take a swizzle spoon and scoop foam about 18 times into my little cup. That's not how a cappuccino is made. The milk tastes sour, not steamed well at all. This is a really good coffee, but it's a little bit hidden, unless you live around the area or are trying to get to the State Capital. What attracted me was their time when they closed late. Many coffee shops close so early which I don't mind drinking coffee that late, I can still go to sleep. This is a really nice place to come and sit on their 2nd floor and watch the sunset. Their pastries are really good!!! Parking is not that easy to find here. I parked on the side of the street, which is a nice neighborhood to walk in. read more

Hands down the best coffee shops in Salt Lake City, especially of those that are currently open. Not only do they have excellent drink options, the entire layout and vibe is fantastic. Highlights: Mexican Mocha (warning, this is actually spicy as it should be) & Dirty Chia are phenomenal. Food: Literally the best scones I've ever had...sadly they're only available sporadically, as they make them by hand and not everyday. Ambiance: They've done an incredible job in this category given the seemingly small space. Huge bright windows, excellent WiFi, and multiple seating and table areas that provide plenty of social distancing space. Two restrooms, great furnishings, and bright colors. It's a great spot to work on your laptop or grab a to go. Experience: The owners are knowledgeable about coffee and clearly want to make a community. Finally found a decent coffee/pastry shop near our hotel. We got a cappuccino and chocolate croissant. Cappuccino was dark and bold which paired so well with the ultra sweet chocolate croissant. I think the croissant may have tasted even better not microwaved. When asked if we wanted to warmed up, I was surprised and happy until I saw that they plopped it into a plastic container and threw it in the microwave. Warming up my pastry usually meant toasting it up, but different in Utah. Anyway, the space is really contemporary and welcoming..all except the cleaner room with disinfectant and bleach smells emitting from it. I tried my best to ignore it and hoped one of the workers would close that room door, but no one did the whole time. It was quite off putting, so we hurried out. I'd go back just to get a latte and pastry to eat outside or downstairs. read more

This place is pretty popular. Was right next to my Airbnb. Came here every day for 3 days to get their London Fog. Highly recommend if you enjoy lavender. Be prepared for a bit of a line since a lot of people get their coffee around here. For being a small neighborhood coffee shop, they did an awesome job of arranging their layout to still feel spacious. They have some outdoor seating, a few seats on the main floor, and then maybe 10 or so chairs with tables upstairs (also plenty of outlets if you want to bring your laptop!). I love all of the natural light from their large windows! The environment is very relaxed and it's the perfect place to study or get some work done with just a touch of coffeeshop white noise.
