I've been eating here for years but it's been a while since my last visit. A coworker and I decided to try the French dip. It was super meaty and came with a good amount of fries. The fries were the fresh cut variety and dripping, soaked in oil. I couldn't finish them because it was just too much grease. Service was interesting. The guy that took our drink order was super friendly. Another employee I asked a question of was just miserable. The interior is pretty grimy. My doctor told me that I need to boost my iron so I ordered Liver and onions through Door Dash from Ogies, now don't get me wrong I truly love Ogies but this was not how I remember it being cooked before. I received 2 breaded long liver patties with brown gravy and the onions on top. It was dipped in bread crumbs and baked like a chicken fried steak only baked. Needless to say I was very disappointed I was looking forward to fried liver cooked with the onions for flavor. Once a month for the past 10 years our group has been going to Ogies for breakfast, that is until four months ago. When we arrive, we have been going to the back of the restaurant, even though there is a rope blocking off the area. This is the only place that can accommodate 12 people together. The last time we went, a woman (not the owner) came from the front of the cafe and proceeded to scream at us saying the area was closed. She made us move to four tables in the middle of the cafe. No sooner we were seated, when they opened the area where we had been sitting for two people. Our group was incensed, and the guys have refused to go back. We usually spend over $24 per person so they have been missing out of appx. $280 + tip each time we went. This week, we are going to try the cafe again. If we encounter the same rudeness and embarrassment, it will end our eating at Ogies forever. read more

Omg... what a place for chicken fried steak. Hand breaded and very delicious. Should not have eaten it all but I couldn't help myself. Eggs cooked well, the only issue is they must use oil to cook the hash browns in as they had a greasy taste that made them off putting. Still very good and will be back for sure. Stopped on the way out of town (I travel for a living) and had a half order of French toast with a side of bacon. Glad I decided on a half order, as I would never have finished a full one! Their French toast is made with sourdough bread and it's thick and extremely tasty. Instead of giving you a squeeze bottle of maple syrup, they serve it in a bowl with warmed maple syrup in it; perfect for dipping. The 4 slices of bacon were thick cut, and well salted...just the way I like it. Their coffee is good, too, although I'm hard to please on coffee so I don't usually review coffee at restaurants.
