The guide told us to not worry as we would get our full time on the water. He was right we spent 2 hours and 10 minutes on the water. Just that would say that they are an honest and above-board company! We took drinks and ice. They had a cooler for us to use. The navy was doing touch and goes from their base. We flew under the jets and it was one of the coolest things that I have done. You could almost reach out and touch the planes with how low that they were flying. This was my very first time on a jet ski, and thanks to their clear instructions and encouragement, I felt totally comfortable and ready to go. It's exhilarating and you will get a workout. Our guide, Josh, was both fun and capable. Highly recommend if you like a thrill. Tips: Sunglasses are necessary. But not for the sun. There's an awful lot of spray and they work as goggles. Guys, if you have compression shorts (spandex) wear that instead of a bathing suit. At 45mph your bathing suit will catch the wind and ride up on you. They'll hold your bags behind the counter. Josh did take photos and texted them to us. Strong possibility you will be sore the next day (our swells in the Atlantic were 2-3 feet)! Plan accordingly

There were no other watersports boats we could get on, and the rest of the weekend was supposed to be rainy. The front desk girl was EXTREMELY rude and acted as if my request was irrational. I had to call a manager who was also no help, it was even difficult to receive the refund. We eventually walked away sea sick and I had to wait nearly a week to get our money back, with our day ruined and the only opportunity for this sort of excursion gone. I made negative reviews on a couple sites to which I got defamatory responses back. Now, disregarding their poor behavior, manners, and morals, I wouldn't have ever considered Sunset had I know about their negligence lawsuit for the death of 2 parasailers which they were found liable for. Please consider Fury or another company, hopefully they'll treat you better and keep you safe.

I chose to do the all watersports activity because I've done it many years ago with sebago watersports in 2018 with my family and our group of 20 people, so I was excited to go back with all my friends for my birthday and don't get me wrong we had a great time but it did feel very sales pitchy and a little chaotic. Let's start with the good: - great lunch - staff was nice - 2 different boats for parasailing -Cannon and Rachel for parasailing were great ! - jet skii instructor (not sure of his name, very cool guy), and he showed us a stingray -captain was amazing and very personable - small group on this day due to the weather which meant not so much downtime waiting for the next thing to do- which was amazing Now let's dive a little into the not so great: - we were forced to tip before getting on the boat about $15 per person which isn't crazy, but it does suck to be told you have to tip before even getting the service - our guide, not sure of her name but she was really nice but unfortunately really unorganized, we were told to split into two different groups since our group was quite large, which we did and while one group was off parasailing or jet skiing the other was left behind to utilize the banana boat & floaties, which were cool but we kept being told we were next for parasailing and to get ready, about 2-3x, which led to us getting out of the water and waiting for the boat that would come take us to go jet skiing or parasailing, but then kept getting pushed back until we were the last group to go. Thankfully we all got to partake in the activities but I can't imagine how chaotic it would've been if the boat had been at full capacity which is around 120 people versus on that day which was 30-45. I think it would've been nice to get an exact time within a 5-10 minute time frame to know when we should get back on the boat and wait for the smaller boat, as we had to get out of the water 2-3x just to be told the boat wasn't back or that we weren't next. - our friends who went parasailing first did not have a good experience with the crew and thought they were kind of rude Overall we all had a great experience, but I do wish they made some tweaks in organization and friendliness of some of the staff.

I think I was quoted a slightly lower price on the phone, and I think I could've argued that, but I never tried, as the price was on par with everyone else in town, and the difference wasn't significant. A couple on our tour had a bit of a panic attack and held up the group at first, so the instructors broke off to divide the group in two so as not to ruin the trip for the rest of us. The guides made sure we got a complimentary bottle of water for the trip and a drink when we got back. I wish I'd asked the guide to take our picture as other Yelp reviewers had. I also forgot my bag on the dock (yikes). I called and retrieved it the following day, with the staff following up to make sure I knew I'd lost it. I got to the dock shortly after they closed for the evening, and a manager had stuck behind to make sure I got the bag, and no one stole it even though it was my fault and definitely beyond his responsibility. Brandon called us and gave us the option to move our reservation to Thursday night, or receive refunds. We moved our reservations, and are glad we did. The company uses some sort of sliding platform that allows you to get into, and out of, the kayaks very easily. Getting in and out of the water is as simple and pulling on the handrails on the sides of the platform. The clear bottom kayaks, and the LED lighting, made it easy to see to the bottom of the shallow ocean we kayaked through. We saw a lot of life, including iguanas in the trees, sea sponges, crab, lobster, jellyfish, octopus, starfish, a couple small schools of fish like blue tetras, and a couple tarpons. Brandon, our tour guide, let us hold or touch a crab, starfish, lobster, and octopus. All very cool! I will definitely do this again next time I'm in Key West.

The boats…read moreare either doubles or singles and have led strip lights along the sides pointing downward to cast light thru the clear bottoms of the kayaks into the shallow water where you can see all kinds of fish. On this mid-October night of the 730 tour, we saw a few interesting fish including a nurse shark and needle nose fish and at a few spots, little fishes were jumping into the boats. You will get a bit wet but it's not bad - it's warm, fresh water. You have to go bare-footed. The current was strong and the water high on this night; our guide Jimmy assured us that it was not normal. Most people were able to maneuver the boats pretty well tho a few had some trouble, but not bad at all. It's not a real workout but there is a lot of paddling. If you have any electronics, you may want to protect them from the moisture. There was mosquito repellent but the bugs weren't bad at all. The directions to the site were easy to follow and you can park under building #6. There's a small pier and depending on the time of year, you can catch the sunset over the water. I thought it was overall a fun way to spend a few evening hours - everyone seemed to enjoy the experience and there was lots of laughing, bumper boats at times. I don't have any pictures of the actual tour because they didn't come out well - just a few of the beautiful scene at sunset.
