Bikes, locations for rides, selection, and all with no pressure. We rented four bikes for an hour, and they treated us like we rented them for the whole day. They took the time to explain everything to my littlest. Even though she's 10, he talked to her professionally and like she was an adult. The ride they recommended was the highlight of our Big Bear trip. Great people, great shop and a great time.

The prices are great, cheaper than some of the other spots I've seen. This new location is way more convenient, it's next door to a 7-Eleven and a Mc Donald's.

Now let's begin, Check-in was fine, but things quickly went downhill. We were initially 3rd in line for the ski demo 'expert'. He seemed to be quite knowledgable to his credit and took his time with each customer. However, despite us waiting patiently, he started having people who arrived much later, cut in front of us. We somehow go from 3rd in line to being 16th. We stayed patient up until this point, until he got a little too excited with this younger girl behind us. This was the final straw. This is when I finally spoke up that we've been waiting a long time and needed to be taken care of first, when he got extremely salty. At this point his mood had shifted quite drastically. He starts by saying I notice you put 'Intermediate' as your ski level. For context, I was on the Mammoth Ski Team for 2 years when I was much younger. That being said, I hadn't skied in a few years by then and grew a few inches so I didn't remember my exact ski height. Continuing throughout our conversation, he says "Oh if you were an intermediate skier, you'd be able to know what your ski height is." Then proceeds to say this 3 more times throughout our interaction. The ski boot fitting station wasn't that helpful either as he had given me an ill-fitting boot that had a massive divot by the toe section. I proceed to hand it back and ask for him to get me a new pair after explaining the situation. And he blankly looks at me and asks if I need a new pair. This store was very disorderly and condescending. As an Asian customer, I feel like preferential treatment was given to others. This was not my interaction with Dustin (the owner that responds to these Yelp comments), but one of his employees.

My California friend had said they don't go anywhere for skis but Potters. I was late getting into…read moretown and wanted to hire skis for the next morning so I stopped by. Firstly I was happy that they were open late enough for me to do so, second the process was easy and fast. Trevor and his staff are extremely kind and helpful, and the positive experience led me to go back on a second trip. On that second trip, during the blizzard, I was able to call on Trever for help with transportation and pick up and drop off of the skis. I was without a car and there was too much snow to walk, so he even went above and beyond to help me get food. Everyone at Potters is friendly and makes the process so easy and affordable that you can focus on the reason you're there... to have fun!! I wholeheartedly recommend going to Potter's anytime you are in big bear. Either to say hi to your new friend Trevor, or to rent equipment.

It was around noon and most places won't let you pickup that early, but the shop was real accommodating with renting a day early. Greg even offered us a free helmet (which we didn't need, but real nice). We were also able to return way after hours. In addition to such great service, the mid week value was incredible. Best place to rent on the mountain by far, going back here when we come back. FYI, currently only the Big Bear Blvd. location is currently open.
