I am very plugged into the Big Bear rental community and have used other property managers in the past. I have also stayed as a guest in vacation rentals in Big Bear prior to owning my own. I was told years ago when we were looking for a new manager that Leanne was "best on the mountain" and after 4+ years I have to say we agree with that sentiment. She has her own properties up in Big Bear as well so she really understands what's important. She has somehow managed to form a highly effective team which is no small feat in Big Bear as it is often difficult to find hard workers! That alone is very impressive. Leanne has kept our place booked consistently these last 4 years even with all the challenges of being on the mountain (fires, blizzards, road closures, etc). If I ever reach out directly to Leanne she always responds promptly so she is very accessible to the home owners. Some of the reasons we left our last prop manager were because we were getting bad renters, last minute cancellations, and they did not support a higher end of service we wanted to provide (more amenities, personal touch, etc). With Leanne everything runs very smoothly and we have never been told they could not support what we wanted to do. I recommend Leanne all the time to others and some of my friends are also using her for their vacation rentals as well. If you are looking for a property manager I recommend interviewing 4-5 as they all vary and you want the best fit for your situation. Leanne was so easy to talk to and I read her management agreement in advance before deciding. You can learn a lot about the different PMs by reading there contracts!

The host had my review on Airbnb removed, so I am reposting my review here in addition to images. "The home is in a nice area of Big Bear Lake and looked beautiful in the listing photos, but unfortunately the cleanliness and comfort did not match the photos. We found ants throughout the kitchen, including around the sink, on the counter, inside board games, on the floor, and even a dead ant in the refrigerator. We also found live spiders in the bathroom and dead flies on the floor and stairs. The master bathroom shower curtain had visible mold spots. The home was also uncomfortably warm during our summer stay. The downstairs game room AC worked well, but the upstairs remained very warm despite setting the thermostat to 73°F. There were stains on the living room sofa and dirt/scuff marks on the walls and doors. Due to the overall cleanliness concerns, we chose not to use the hot tub. Overall, the location was nice, but the cleanliness issues, insects, mold, and inadequate cooling significantly impacted our stay."

We arrived at 530pm on a friday,…read morethe cabin was nice and cozy. 3bedroom and 2 bathrooms, upstairs were the first bedroom has a full size bed and lamp, the second bedroom has two twin size bunkbeds and a foosball table, and the third bedroom next to the upstairs bathroom has full size bed. Downstairs bathroom is right next to the laundry room and the back door that leads to the backyard. The cabin was complete with everything we needed for the weekend, and added plus is it had wifi. lol Over all experience was great! i will definitely come back and stay at Conklin or maybe try their other Cabin in the future. UPDATE** Okay, I…read morehave officially stayed at Grampa Mike's Conklin Cabin and.....absolutely everything, and then some, that I knew it'd be based on my interactions with Grampa Mike! The location is perfect!!! In the middle of the Village and Snow Summit, but secluded enough to feel the serenity of a vacation. The cabin itself was spotless and beautiful, and there are TWO hot tubs!! Plus, we didn't need to trek out to the Snow Play area because the backyard had a small hill we could sled down...we even saw others sledding down the street that the cabin is located on! Seriously couldn't have found a better place...it was meant to be:). Thanks to Grampa Mike, my boyfriend and I had the best intro to Big Bear...we hadn't vacationed in awhile, and this was just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days. I'm completely blown away with how good they are at their job. Professional & organized & really great at handling the guests. I'm very detail oriented and so are they. They always make sure everything is repaired, and running smoothly. So good with communication. I went through extensive research to find a good management company for my beloved home that I spent 2 years meticulously remodeling. I have several friends in the area with vacation rentals who have tried bigger management companies and it's been a nightmare. Another friend self-manages and she's had 1/2 the amount of bookings as my property, and it's so much work for her.
