Wonderful daycare. My son is 11 months and he really enjoys his time at Skeyci. He is engaged, happy, and relaxed when he's there. It's a very loving and happy environment. This place is amazing! My Daugther has been going here since she was 8 months; she is now two. I was new to the Bay Area when I found Sandra. She is extremely flexible and provides one on one care for my Daugther. Because of her, my Daugther is learning Spanish! Our two sons (ages 16 months, 3.5 years old) are in Skeyci Children Programs now. We treasure that both boys are best friends because of all the time they spend together. At first I was concerned they would not individuate from each other, but Sandry and Anthony are so thoughtful about the activities they share and the lessons they participate separately. They individualize instruction daily; the three-year olds do different work than the other three year old children based on their own progress. This is so critical so that there are no gaps in a child's development and learning. As for examples of recent highlights, Anthony gave our younger son the patience and confidence to learn to walk within weeks of started the program (something we couldn't achieve with months of physical therapy). Our older son is starting to recognize phonemes that start a word, subitizes up to six objects, and can immediately state "there's three cars and four cars" when he sees them in a bunch of seven without manually counting each one ... shocking since he is only three years old. Our family is indebted to Sandry and Anthony for constructing our kids' schema of school as positive, motivating, and fun. They love to learn! For reference, I am a school psychologist and my job is to evaluate children in their early childhood development. My son started Skeyci's infant/toddler program at 15 months. Now at 25 months, he knows his basic colors, has number concepts, and has basic pre-reading skills in English and Spanish (which is highly reinforced at home). This is what is so great about Skeyci: 1. Sandry has four years of early childhood education and it shows. Anthony is a former special education teacher, which means he understands development well. Through play, arts, and natural learning experiences, they teach their infants, toddlers and preschoolers in developmental sequence. 2. Sandry loves my son. She genuinely loves his sensitive, sweet and stubborn temperament with infinite patience. He loves going to school and feels safe and secure there. 3. Enter the apartment in the morning, and you will whiff home-cooked healthy meals with fresh produce and meats. 4. Sandry teaches them the skills needed for preschool and Anthony teaches them the prerequisites needed for kindergarten, all through natural learning contexts. This means no emphasis on worksheets or rote learning. They practice incidental learning, which is more generalizable than rote learning. 5. Last minute (literally on my way to bring my kids to her before I go to work) she texts me and "realizes" she doesn't have room for them. I am lucky enough to have found Sandry via amazing reviews on Yelp, so I owe it to fellow parents to write a good review and let you know how amazing Sandry is. Like I said I feel extremely fortunate to have found Sandry. She was the first place we visited and the last. She is extremely warm and inviting, she genuinely loves the children and cares about them. She is very educated and experienced in early childhood education. I have learned so much from her myself!! My daughter started with Sandry at three months and now is 15 months!! I've had everyone tell me how advanced my daughter is for her age and Sandry gets all the credit!! She does age appropriate activities with the children. They go on tons of field trips. Sandry knows all of the clean, safe parks that she takes them to and they make regular trips to the library. Sandry also provides the children with healthy, home cooked meals. I honestly feel so fortunate to have my daughter with Sandry. I now feel that Sandry is part of the family. My husband and I joke that our daughter's favorite two people are Sandry and her Mom, then us. They truly go above and beyond. Yes, Skeyci is expensive but it is so worth it knowing your child is safe, loved and learning. Yes, Sandry's English isn't great but your child will walk away knowing Spanish, which is a huge reward. I don't like to write reviews or take surveys but I feel that I need to write this review for Sandry and Anthony at Skeyci Children Programs. I would give them 100 stars if I could. My daughter has been there for 2 1/2 years. We brought her there right before she had her hip surgery and after her hip surgery while she was in a body cast. Sandry and Anthony took such good care of our little girl. For the parents that don't know what's like to take care of a little one in a spica cast, it is extremely tricky. No other day care wanted to take care of daughter in a spica cast and we didn't trust anyone else to take care of her. Sandry did her own research on how to care for a child in a spica cast and made our life so much better as my daughter was able to go to day care and interact with other kids while I had to go back to work. My daughter is always clean when I pick her up from Sandry's!!! Sandry wakes up extra early to make each kid their own meal to their own preferences. Yes! What day care does this? Usually, they all get the same meal at the other day care. My daughter gets the very best of care that money can buy. Even a personal nanny can not give this kind of care. We've had a nanny for my daughter when she was few months old until she was about a year old and we paid tripple the amount of day care fees that we're paying at Sandry's. The care that our daughter gets from Sandry and Anthony is exceptional!!!! I had toured many day care facilities before we took our daughter to Sandry's and we are so glad. Not a week goes by, without my husband and I say to each other, "Every day care should be like Sandry's." This is the Disneyland of all day care! read more

My son has been attending skeyci for 2 1/2 years and I cannot imagine taking him elsewhere! Before coming to Skeyci I searched and toured about 6 other daycares in Hayward, none of these came even close to the quality of care at Sandrys. Being that I myself work with children, I am very particular of who can take care of my child. Sandry not only has numerous certificates to show her knowledge in childhood education, she also is involved with Chabot community college where she continues to expand her education and mentors others on childcare. Bottom line is Sandry is amazing! You can see it in every smiley little face I see everyday as I drop and pick up my child. Everyone runs to Sandry when they get dropped off and many times no one wants to leave that shows ALOT. No once have I doubted if my child is being well taking care of. I can not recommend this daycare highly enough. My son is almost 2 years old and he has been attending this daycare for 7 months. Each day when we pull into the parking lot he shouts "YEAH!" then he often doesn't want to leave when I arrive, instead he wants to show me all the fun things he has been playing with. Sandry and her husband are so warm and caring with the children. They often go on outings and Sandry is great about sending text messages with pictures of the kids having fun. Sandry and Anthony are amazing! They both really know what they are doing and have always treated my son with love and support. My son was born very premature and was a little behind in reaching his milestones, until he started daycare here at 15-months old. He has been with Sandry for 9 months now and has absolutely thrived! I know he can be quite energetic at times and has trouble focusing, but Sandry always knows how to help him learn and play in a safe and constructive way that he loves. A wonderful place for a child to learn but it's ran as business is business..not what's best for the child. My child loved going and learned so much! Unfortunatly when it comes to money that out weighs what should be best for the benefit of the child..even if you have a contract. Beware the "get you comfortable" weekly fee is very reasonable and your child gets so much from being there. But the "real cost" you get hit with after being there about three months is a 30% increase with one weeks notice. Even though you have a contract that states no increase until the new year starts then there will be a cost of living increase..which is understandable and reasonable(if it were actually followed). You will be given a "hardship story" story of rent being drastically raised, but with some research I have found that not to be completely true as presented. Also there is a webcam, but it NEVER works, unless you pay a $100 montly fee for the use...???.. I am very heart broken because of the potential my child acheived and how much he learned, but I am very disappointed that the good of the child is only a high dollar price. I could see if the price was competititive for the area, but its actually on the very high end for care for the child receives. I spoke with a mother who also takes her child there, she gets the subsidized care paid by welfare, Skeyci Care asks her to pay and additional $60.00 over what subsidized pays. Huh? Just doesn't make sense. Again I am not complaiing about the care and what my child learned from being at Skeyci Care, my problem is the "bait and hook" which gets you in so once you and your child is comfortable you get an unbeleivable rate increase. I hope this helps most to go in with eyes wide open and what happened to us doesn't happen to others. read more

My daughter has been attending Skeyci Children Programs for over a year and a half now. She was 15 months when she started. Choosing a daycare for my daughter was a very stressful ordeal, but as soon as we met Sandry, we knew it was the right place for us. Sandry and Anthony are wonderful people that genuinely care about the children in their program. The transition from family watching her, to complete strangers was definitely not easy for any of us. But Sandry handled it very well and helped put all of us at ease. The home cooked meals are provided daily and my picky eater has even tried new foods because she sees the other kids enjoying it. My daughter transitioned to the Pre-School with Anthony in September when she was 2 years, 4 months old. I thought it was a bit early, but there was an open spot, so we went ahead and took it. The price is more than a traditional preschool but the individualized attention and the quality of the program are worth it, if you can afford it. I highly recommend Skeyci Children Programs for those looking for a caring environment for their child to grow and thrive in. read more

Our son has been at Skeyci Children Programs for 3 and half years full-time (roughly 9 hours a day). Our son views Sandry and Anthony as family and they treat him as one of their own kids. He loves going there and has learned a great deal and is more than ready for kindergarten. As a parent I know how important actual/real reviews are for those that will be caring for our children while we are out trying to earn a buck. Which is the reason, among many, that I am leaving this review for this daycare. We were in search of a daycare closer to our home so our infant would no longer have to commute with us to the peninsula. We were by no means in a rush, we wanted to make sure we found the "right" fit for our daughter. We are very protective (as I am sure most parents are) of our daughter and very reluctantly had to place her in daycare so that we could both work. Because we didn't know anyone in Hayward we had to go off of reviews on Yelp and just meeting with daycares to see how we felt. We met with a few daycares and it just didn't seem like they were that interested in our child as much as they were the money. Yes, I know, we all have to make money to survive, but when your in this line of work/care, you have to have a special interest in the children, their well-being and their growth. We finally, after almost giving up, met Sandry (the owner and care provider) of Skeyci. I have to admit, when I first drove up and saw that she lives in an apartment I was immediately apprehensive. However, the moment I met Sandry my heart warmed, and that's the feeling you are looking for when looking for a childcare provider. She was immediately interested in interacting with my daughter (who was 5 months old at the time), rather then trying to woo me into signing up with her. (My daughter is the one in the stroller in the pictures attached to this.) Here we are 4 months later and I can honestly say that I could not recommend her more! She is amazing and I always feel like I want to show my appreciation to her. My daugher never cries when going to her. She loves playing with the other kids. Sandry's living area is completely set up for the kids. She takes them to the park daily; helps them with their development (has my daughter drawing and she is only 9 months!); takes them swimming (upon parent approval), so they are never just sitting in the house propped up in front of a tv. And, lets not forget the all important Nanny-cam. You get to watch your child all day long while in her care. Honestly, if you ever were to trust someone with your child, Sandry is the next best thing to you or family -- as a matter of fact, in this short time I have come to care for her as though she were my family. read more

My son has been going to Skeyci for well over 3 years now, and we would not consider to put him anywhere else. In fact, we've talked about moving out of the area, but have not because we want to stay close to his "school"! He is so supremely happy there; he learns a lot, goes out for fun activities every day, and is loved deeply by Sandry and Jose. We don't have any family in the area and Sandry and Jose easily provide the love and support of family for him. It is a wonderful feeling to know that your child is being so well taken care of while you're working, that they are learning and playing with other children, and doing all kinds of fun activities like visiting the zoo, riding the steam trains, going to the library, the parks, swimming and fishing in the summertime. He speaks Spanish because he's been immersed since he was 6 months old (he's now 3.5). In a few months his baby sister will join the Skeyci family, and I don't mind going back to work, knowing she will also soon benefit from this loving, educational environment. This is how EVERY daycare program should be like! What an amazing feeling it is to tell my daughter "were going to see Sandry" and to see her run to the door with a big smile on her face. Then, at pick up, it is always a good sign when my daughter refuses to go home with me because shes too involved in an activity or just because she is so happy where at Skeyci! As an educator, with experience teaching High School, Middle School, Primary and PreK, I cant think of anyone more qualified than Ms Giordano to run a daycare program. Truly Amazing.
