My 3 year old son has been attending Skeyci Children program for about 6 months now. We have been extremely happy with the care he has received. Sandry is fantastic. She is very warm, organized, helpful, clean, proactive, and nurturing. She does a great job of providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. She is great about keeping my son on a routine schedule for potty training, meals, and learning/play time. It warms my heart to get photos of his activities on a daily basis. Sending our son to daycare was a very hard decision for my husband and I, but we feel so incredibly fortunate to have found Sandry! He is very happy and healthy and Sandry has had a big role in that. Our son smiles when he goes to daycare, and that is a good feeling as a parent.  We have had such a positive experience and recommend Skeyci Children Program wholeheartedly! read more

Our daughter started attending Skeyci at the age of 6 months; she is now 13 months. Sandry is very attentive and loving, and you can tell she really cares about the kids. As a first time mom, it was really hard to leave my child with someone she didn't know, but she seemed to really warm up to Sandry in a matter of a few days. Every morning at drop off, Sandry has different activities for the kids to do and learn from, which I love seeing. Even though my daughter is still on the younger side to participate, I think it's great that she spends time with the other kids and is immersed in these activities. I am one of those moms who is too worried about everything when it comes to kid, and with Sandry, I have no concern about anything like how she is fed, behaved or if place is hygienic enough... You can tell it's more than business for her, she loves and takes very good care of our kids. Our son absolutely loves this daycare! From the very first time he met Ms. Sandry he had a smile on his face. Her excitement and positive energy is so good for the children. My son still lights up each morning when we arrive for drop off. This is also the most clean and orderly in-home day care I have ever seen. They keep the place spotless and care for the children in the same way. Our son always comes home clean because she washes the children's hands and changes their cloths regularly. The food she feeds the kids is very wholesome and with enough variety that he never gets tired of it. Socially and emotionally he has advanced significantly and I see the older kids are usually quite advanced in reading. We have tried several daycares and this is head and shoulders above all of them. It's bitter sweet that we had to take our kids out of Skeyci Program due to moving out of the area. I have to say that this children program is a god sent. The attention, love, and care that both Sandry and Anthony have given both my children you really can't put into words. Sandra takes great care of her children. My daughter was at Skeyci for a year and Sandra is a lot more than a nanny, she's a teacher. She spends time with each individual child and teaches them. She takes the kids out, they learn about gardening, growing plants, they learn arts, they see live animal, and eat hot healthy meals made in-house. I couldn't think of sending a 2 year old to a daycare with a cold PB&J and cereal, Sandra makes real hot meals and teaches them how to eat proper food with utensils. Sandra uses the Reggio Emilia approach for teaching kids, it is somewhat similar to Montessori and focuses on the fundamental skills kids need to learn, by being individually guided through hands-on activities. Skeyci is by far the best place for toddlers to learn fundamental skills and have the individualized care they need. read more

If I had to pick one line for a review it would be "my kid lunges towards the teacher everyday in the morning". Ms. Sandry is amazing with kids and focuses a lot of her efforts towards developing important skills in kids. Our kid does gardening, painting , dancing , etc. and she is just 17 months old. If you are looking for a place where you want peace of mind knowing that your kid is being looked after well, this is THE place. Also, every snack that's fed to the kids is organic or grown in her backyard (including eggs from her chickens in the backyard). I placed my kids into this program and was promised they would have daily activities and progress in their learning and development. There was little daily communication between Sandry, Anthony and I. Only twice did they give feedback, but they were just complaining that my 4 1/2 year old didn't want to take a nap (which they originally told me he would not be required to do) and that my 2 year old had no respect or rules because when she was tired and I was arriving to pick them up she sometimes didn't want them, but rather me. I also had a huge issue with Anthony at the end.he did not want to let me walk my kids all the way into the program in the morning. He would stop me at the door where I signed them in. Even when my kids wanted me to walk them in, and I wanted to walk them in, he would block the way and tell me to have a nice day. As it turns out they tried to kick my kids out after only a month of them attending, but I had already made arrangements to pull them out regardless. This was an overall terrible experience for my children and myself. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends or family with young kids. read more

My daughter, Catherine, joined Skeyci Children Programs when she was about a year old and we have enjoyed every minute of it. It is so hard to find reliable daycare that is affordable, welcoming, educational, and inviting. Skeyci Children Programs is all of these and more. On the weekends, my daughter will go to the front door of our apartment and gets sad to find out that she's not going to school. Sandry instills a sense of independence, education (my daughter understands Spanish!) and love of her home while at daycare, not an easy feat. While my daughter is clearly happy to see me when I go pick her up, she is content if I'm running a little late which says to me that she's comfortable and loved. That's all that we as parents can ask for. I'm so sad that our family is moving out of state, I have no idea how I'm going to find another daycare like this. Sandry was extremely accommodating when my husband left for his new job and I was taking care of my daughter on my own. I stayed at home with my son for 16 months before going back to work. I had no idea how I either of us was going to handle the separation. I can't count the number of schools I visited, providers I interviewed, reviews I read, calls I made, etc. As a former ECE teacher, I have a list of requirements that made it almost impossible to find someone I really trusted with my son. And then there was Skeyci, which I wouldn't even call a daycare, rather an extension of our home. The Location: I was hesitant when I learned the daycare was inside an apartment complex. The website displays what appears to be a perfectly engineered toddler facility that couldn't possibly reside in an apartment. Yet, it does, and it still amazes me how much it looks nothing like an apartment when you walk in! The area is quite, safe, secure, and surrounded by an oasis of nature, walking paths, and outdoor leisure facilities. The Provider: My son and I both adore Sandry. His first week there he had serious separation anxiety, as to be expected for a child who's never been away from home. Gradually I saw the drop off meltdowns disappear till 3 weeks in he was blowing me kisses and saying "bye bye" before walking in all by himself to start his day. Sandry truly loves her children and has really become a great contributor to my son's development. In an attempt to raise my son bilingual, Sandry teaches him in Spanish and now at 23 months he has begun counting in Spanish! I love seeing how happy the children are around her and can't express enough how wonderful it is when Sandry tells me about their day. Parks, swimming, nature exploring, reading, puzzles, games, sports, walks, etc. My son is exhausted when he gets home but it's apparent he loves every minute of it! Sandry will always consult you before doing activities such as swimming or nature walks. She's flexible to each individual parents needs. I've had a few work emergencies where I needed to drop my guy off really early (like 6 AM early) and she awaited him with open arms and wheat banana pancakes! More Perks: The web cam is golden. I love seeing what my little guy is doing throughout the day. Each parent has their own Access code to the web cam. You never have to pack a lunch or snacks. Meals and snacks are included and very nutritious! If you're like me, your child is the most precious gift you could ask for and deserves the best. Look no further, Sandry is the best. read more

I am writing this update since I noticed another person has written a very unsavory review about this daycare and I hope to really show what this daycare/home is like. I feel with every fiber of my being the other persons review is so far off base. As I have stated in my previous reviews, my daughter has been with Sandry since she was 6 months old. I can't possibly convey to you the love, care, attention and education she gives the kids. Sandry is a certified teacher. She reads to the children, they write, go on field trips, art projects, the park daily, go to the library all the time, etc. Sandry and Anthony are now an extension of my family. We were so blessed to have found Sandry and Anthony. They love my daughter as if she were their own. My daughter recently started school and had to leave Sandry and Anthony. This has been the hardest thing we've had to do. They truly LOVE the kids they care for. And my daughter, who happens to be VERY particular about who she will be around nonetheless who she will allow me to leave her with (as am I), has missed them dearly. It was like a devastating heartbreak for her. This is not merely a means to an end for them, you can feel their love for the kids. I have NEVER had an instance of questioning their care or treatment of my daughter. Feel free to speak freely to any of the parents that continue to take their child/children there, I am confident they will assure you of what an amazing place that Sandry's and Anthony's is. I would keep my daughter there for the rest of her life if I could. I guarantee you that we will always maintain a relationship with them. Simply the best! My child has been attending Skeyci for 2 years now and even though I work in the peninsula, I decided to take him there because they offer the best care. Healthy home made food, they go to the park almost daily and take field trips at their own expense. They also teach them yoga and swimming lessons. Update: This daycare is good as it gets!!! I've never met a more caring and nurturing person such as Sandry. She definitely goes the extra mile with the kids she cares for and I've never witnessed any wrong doing in the 5 years of my daughters attendance. My child is now in school, but Sandry still takes the time out of her busy schedule on the weekends to take my daughter out on a fun outing at no charge. Don't expect Shakespeare's English but be ready for the best of LATIN AMERICAN HEARTS to win you and your child over. Don't be put off by the apartment building or the thought that this will be a dreadful, boxed in experience--your children will be on field trips almost every other day!!! YUP. You heard it right: Library, Parks, Museums, Farms, Playgrounds, Mountains, Lakes, Beaches. Your child will know more about fun places in the Bay Area than you ever knew existed. And yes, they will learn! I'm a former pre-school, kindergarten and middle school teacher and I think the confidence and self-esteem this childcare offers will propel your child to be a risk-taking, adventurous, caring, outside-the-box thinking, JOY machine. Academics are important and they will get that too. But the key here is JOY. My daughter has been here since age 2 and is now 5. She is now in kindergarten but will be coming back to spend time here when we need someone to take her during school breaks etc (you only get that privilege if you've been there for at least a year or so....) If your primary concern is the peace of mind that comes from knowing that a LOVING couple is looking after your boy or girl, this is it. Sandry is a teacher's teacher and Jose complements her. They care for special needs children and opened their door to me and my wife soon after my daughter had massive, reconstructive hip surgery. This is not the cheapest, but cheap usually comes at a high price--and do you really think it's worth your child's well being to go for the lowest price?! Sell your house if you have to. Bottom line: Skeyci is an excellent child care program and I don't think many other places can match the care Sandry provides. My son has started going to Skeyci when he was about 3 months old, he just turned 2 this summer, and I've been very happy with the amount of care and attention he's received there. There are never any issues when we drop him off in the morning; he's usually bolting towards the front door as soon as we get out of the elevator. When we pick him, he's usually too busy to be bothered and is playing. To me, this is a good sign because it shows that Skeyci provides a comfortable environment for the kids and that the kids are enjoying themselves. I know that there are multiple trips to the park each week, as well as other adventures, which I really appreciate because my son is essentially an energy ball that only stops moving when he's sleeping. If there's room available for your child, I definitely recommend that you give Sandry at Skeyci a chance. read more
