THANK GOODNESS I FOUND THIS PLACE!!!…read more I have the hardest time shopping for my wife, she is honestly one of the pickiest people I know (bless her heart). Like most women, shoes are one of the only things that make her happy, which makes things tough for me when it comes to gifts. I have been to the Village Shoe Inn 3-4 times in the past two years, and it has been a blessing to say the least! Me being the rugged, manly-man that I am, going into a women's shoe store would usually be an awkward experience. NOT HERE. Everyone was SO helpful, all I had to do was give a description of what my wife's shoe closet looks like, and I had no less than 10 options shown to me. To make things easier, there was even a younger gentleman that worked there that knew exactly how I was feeling, and he knew as much about women's shoes as I do about fishing trout! That being said, I would suggest this place to anyone who is in the market for women's shoes- even guys like me who are trying to bribe their wives with gifts so they are allowed to go hunting with their buddies!

From the initial call, Ken and his team looked in their inventory to confirm the stock of my requested shoe size and colors to ensure there were multiple items to try on. I purchased some compression socks for flights, and he showed my friend and I an easy way to put them on for our flights. Overall we had a great visit and highly recommend Ken and his team if you are looking for a store with great customer service and selection. Excited to have Sanitas back in my shoe rotation.

While this location varies significantly from the Royal Oak store (my favorite out of the two), it still has some great finds. I really appreciate their selection of hard-to-find shoe brands and unique styles. I can always find something cute, and their sales typically result in one-of-kind bargains that shoe-nistas crave. This shop definitely has the best jewelry selection for pieces that are unique and have more of a local flair, within a reasonable price range.

Way to lure me in DSW! So I didn't find any slippers that would meet my senior mom's long list of requirements. Their slipper selection was pretty limited. I did see some sandals I liked, but none in my size in the color I liked. So I went to the clearance section; there are always lots of size 7s to peruse. I found a pair of Teva sandals. I'm not really into hippie- style shoes, but I tried them on anyways. They were so comfy! Of course I *had* to buy them because with clearance shoes you get that extra discount, you know. What started at $59.98 ended up at $31.99. Yay for my feet!

Recently been introduced to the joys of running - nope, not being sarcastic either!…read more I was wearing really bad/beat up tennis shoes and my gym partner suggested Hansons Running Shop as a place to check out for running shoes since she bought her shoes from there. She said how the shoes she got were like running on air and never felt more comfortable in a pair of running shoes. Visited Hansons on a Friday evening and was quickly greeted by a worker. I told him I needed some new running shoes. I took off my shoes and got on a machine that analyzes the pressure points you have in your feet. I was surprised to see that my pressure points were in my heels! I also got my feet measured to ensure my right size. I sat down and the worker got me started on 3 different shoes. All 3 fit perfectly and felt amazing but he told me to start walking around the store and comparing the shoes. The worker let me take my time and was not pushy. I asked to have a 4th pair to try out but quickly resorted to the pair I tried on first. I was happy with my decision and the shoes felt like a hug for my foot. I have never been so comfortable in a running shoe before! I got a pair of Brooks and the cost was $120.00. Sure, it is a bit much for a pair of shoes but my commitment to running and the support I needed was well worth the price. However, other shoe stores run similar prices but the customer service at Hansons is well above the rest. My first run with my new Hansons shoes could not even compare to my old shoes! I was able to run a lot faster with my new running shoes since I had the correct support in my heels and overall felt supported. My legs also did not hurt after running like my old shoes. Hansons has a lot of other great products besides shoes! Exercise clothing and other accessories. I would never go anywhere else when I need a new pair of running shoes!

The closest Hansons for me was the Utica store on M-59. When I first walked in I was skeptical because the employees looked so young. I was quickly reminded you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. The young man that helped me (Jabber J.) was very patient and knowledgeable. He also had a good understanding of my issues and what I needed. I told him my price range and he didn't try to over sell. He knew the differences in the design of each shoe. I've got a new perspective on the young people today. I also have the most comfortable pair of shoes that surprisingly didn't break the bank. I highly recommend Hansons.
