I absolutely love this target. I go to this location often to get out of the house and walk around, as they often keep an updated selection for the holidays. I am obsessed with the target themed toys as well - I could not resist the fisher price target toy set. Typically a pretty good Target! Lots of things to choose from and the store is pretty clean and organized. We've come in here many times for different home goods, health products, electronics, or simply to browse. We haven't experienced any issues in the Target other than the in-house pizza hut. This target is literally on a day-to-day basis. Some days it's super tidy, fully stocked and perfect. But honestly maybe some days, complete opposite, not stocked, clothes so messy, shelves messed up.. I don't know if shift manager is the one to blame, but I assume the number of employees is to consider. Rochester hills is a nice area, I wouldn't think the residents are that messy, but I might be wrong. The size of the store is nice, it's not so big, but has everything you need. The Mr. and I were celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary with an all-day movie day date, booking three movies back to back. We went to Target to get snacks to eat between movies and take a bathroom break. The atmosphere was good, the bathrooms were clean, and everything (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) was well-stocked. The store was easy to navigate, and the self-checkout made for a quick and efficient shopping experience. We were in and out fast, making it back in time for our next movie. We bought Miyoko's vegan cream cheese, Snyder's gluten-free pretzel sticks, and Good & Gather teriyaki turkey jerky. The turkey jerky was tender and delicious, not like the typically tough jerky my Granddad says "bites back at you" . The tenderness and flavor were a pleasant surprise. Dipping the pretzels in the cream cheese was similar to a crispy bagel. Usually, I spend more in Target, but the Mr. was happy knowing that we only spent $15! My next Target run will definitely include Good & Gather turkey jerky again! I would recommend Target to others. Upon entering the store the floor was filthy I cautiously ordered a coffee at the Starbucks and the clerk was very polite. However, as I moved further into the store it was an atrocity....the five dollar section was in disarray broken ornaments porcelain on the ground many empty baskets. Then as I moved further into the jewelry department there was jewelry everywhere it was unreal. I couldn't stand it. I began picking up hair accessories and mismatched pieces of 14k gold overlay earrings, necklaces and jewelry boxes scattered on the floor. Mostly to find a set as there were missing earring in the boxes. I looked along the wall display where even there I found broken pieces still on display!! it's like no one had cleaned that store in a month! I then decided to go into the women's shoe department. What womens shoe dept,? Here again my cart was rolling over shoes hangers clips & empty boxes there was no order to the shoe department sections.... every age group and gender was mixed together with open boxes on the ground smashed and cart wheel marks on shoes. The end cap had shoes hanging in knots from hooks obviously without care. Time to move into the women's hosiery and clearance department the hosiery was in disarray on the ground the packages were everywhere most of them were empty the clearance section was scary there were hangers everywhere on top of racks under the racks, in the isle on the ground, poking out half hazard with dozens and dozens of articles of clothing on the floor! These were actually some nice quality items snagged and ripped then kicked under the racks. Signs of customer carts that had been rolling over beautiful shirts & beautiful dresses! I would never buy anything at this store again. God knows if someone had rolled over it with their cart or used it as a tissue it was disgusting I've never seen anything so dirty in years. I arrived up to the register and thank God they were professional to me. Very efficiently handling my purchases so I was on my way out the door in time I was even blessed to have a beautiful young man find a particular type of icebreaker mints. I didn't know the name of it so after asking an employee he gladly found it for me. it's definitely not an employee issue. It was easy to locate what I needed at this Target but the bulk of my rating is for the customer service. A roll of electrical tape that I bought didn't end up in my bag somehow. I stopped by a couple of days later with the receipt and asked if the roll had been turned in by the cashier. A fine gentleman in guest services looked for it and couldn't find it but told me that I could just go get another one off the shelf at no charge. Now THAT'S customer service. read more

I haven't shopped at Target for some years now. One day I found a gift card on the ground in the parking lot near the employee entrance of our library. I checked its value on line and it was for $10. I decided (with my wife's urging) to post a note on their bulletin board to see if I could return l it to the rightful owner. Of course, I didn't mention the amount or the store that issued it. After about three weeks, it had not been claimed. So it became mine. I had been wanting a couple of copper mugs and planned to use it for that. Before I could use it, however, Covid lockdown happened and so I put it on hold. Fast forward several months, and stores began opening again. When we had lunch near this Target, I thought I would walk in and look for the mugs. It has been many years since I last came to this Target and the layout had changed. I proceeded inside the door, turned right and began a counterclockwise trip around almost the entire store before finally finding the right area and... no copper mugs! I flagged down a staff member who was very helpful and confirmed that they carry them but were out because supplies of many items were low due to lower production levels because of Covid. She suggested I find it on the Target website and then either ship to my home plus shipping fee or to a Target store for pickup with no shipping charge. Sad to say this was not a great Target. It seemed very disorganized, things were hard to find, or just plain out. Most of the ELF makeup was just empty. They did not have any of the luggage items I was looking for. The clothing seemed like it was tossed around and they put isles in odd spots. There is a nice Starbucks but I had to go to a different Target location the following day to shop since I could not find anything here. I would probably not stop back here. read more

Came in today to purchase a dress I saw online for a concert, and when I was having a difficult time finding it I asked the associate working by the dressing rooms (I didn't catch her name, she had blue colored hair). She was so helpful and kind, she helped me find the exact dress i was searching for and offered the different colors to me. Through the entire checkout process and in the starbucks area, every single employee that helped me was super kind!! I will definitely be returning to this location :) Thank you all! read more

I understand it's the holidays but the employees were UNBEARABLE today. One specifically was fighting with his ear piece cursing, I asked him if he had a moment. He didn't even turn to acknowledge me so I said "excuse me do you have a moment" again he looked said "what" and turned away. I asked about an item he said "I don't know" I apologized and said I thought you worked here. He said I do but I do online orders so I proceeded to ask if he knew where the item was again he said "idk I just got here" oh ok, so the items move daily? Lol anyway he turned away and avoided contact with me. Leaving this store right now and although the store seems to be clean and organized-the women's bathroom Was a DISASTER!! Toilet paper all over floor every stall. Most disgusting was the pair of latex gloves LAYING ON THE FLOOR between stalls. Any staff while in this store were great, which I ran into a guy and woman coming out of break room that I told about the bathroom and they were going to tell someone. Top notch for those two being kind. . But as we were discussing the situation, a female co-worker walks up and was kinda rude saying she knew and was going to take care of it. My response..? I told her that that bathroom was a Covid disaster waiting to happen. I didn't find everything I needed here today, but all staff other than her were fine. No five stars because of bathroom. Drive up here is the worst! They're as slow as molasses in January and the team members are rude. It's super frustrating.

One of my least favorite Target locations. It is always super crowded and crammed busy. You can hardly walk through the isles because something is always placed in the way. The employees make it seem like your the problem because you are trying to shop. Also, not a fan of the under $5 section. Everything is unorganized and shelves are empty. There are also random things thrown around in there. The store isn't the cleanest as well. Maybe they are just short staffed or it is too busy for them to clean. I'd rather go to a faster, quieter, cleaner, fully stocked location. Especially one with better customer service. read more

Target use to be the best store. It had easy shopping and lots of different merchandise to buy... Not so much anymore. I dont know if all Targets are like this now but this one for sure is... So imagine I have to settle and step foot into Target, I have a few things in my mind I need to pick up. I dont need a basket but usually I take a handheld one. I walk to a few areas grabbing the things I need and browsing at some other options. I have very intense social anxiety, and I spend a lot of time staring at different things and talking to myself in my head. Sometimes I decide against buying something but I always ALWAYS put it back where I found it. Approximately 10 minutes (sometimes less) looking around the store and grabbing my items, their secret shoppers are all over me. And they dont even try to hide it! They follow me around and stare at me while they pretend to look at something. It makes me so uncomfortable and I always want to put my basket down and leave but that makes me feel more anxious thinking they think Im stealing. Sometimes it's so bad that when I pay and head towards the door, a security guard is there waiting to see if an alarm goes off when I walk through! And they look happy to be doing it! The service (for me at least) is always so bad. If I have a question or need to be pointed in the right direction, the employees always treat me so poorly (probably since they've radioed the entire store saying my description and to watch out for me). I know my hesitation and indecisiveness can look funny. I know staring at things for too long can be suspicious but truthfully it's always just my anxiety. And it's not like I'm ever stopping there to buy 20$ worth of items. The only time I really go to target is if I know they have something I need or the website says they have it. My total is always over 100$ and it bums me out so much that I'm giving a company so much money just to feel uncomfortable the entire 20-30 minutes I'm in there. Something definitely needs to change here. This store has been doing this for a while now and yes, I absolutely tell everyone who wants to listen about my nightmare stories from shopping at this location. read more

This place isn't half bad, but I don't go here as much as I used to for a variety of different reasons. I like it here because they do have a great selection of items, the store is neat and clean and there's a variety of stuff to choose from. The downside? for starters, it's in a really busy shopping complex off Rochester Road. Secondly, the staff, over the years, have become frazzled, annoyed and can hardly tell you where stuff is. I don't always want to walk the whole store and I wish they were friendlier like they were back in the day. Parking can be frustrating here, especially during some of their busier times. On the good side, they have some good clearance items that I find from time to time, and have scored a few good deals. Also, they have a Starbucks in here along with a little Pizza Hut. Overall, not a half bad place, just not my favorite. Will continue to return when needed. read more

I've been to a grocery store once in the past 4 weeks and 2 days. Today was my second trip because 1) it's my son's Birthday and 2) I had run out of toilet paper and other essentials. As I was exiting the Target location in Rochester, MI, security called me over and asked me to do him a favor and tell the nurses that I work with that we aren't allowed into Target anymore because someone called and made a complaint about my presence. Great way to treat our front-line workers. I've been shopping at your location since I was a kid and I've never felt more ashamed of your establishment. read more

Upon my arrival at this Target location, I stopped at the Starbucks location to grab a coffee. The employees at the Starbucks location seemed unhappy and not really friendly to serve customers. Once I got my coffee, I walked to the specific location to get the item that I was looking for. Before arriving at Target, I looked online to see of they had this particular item in stock (which it stated they did). When I went to the aisle that the item was supposed to be on, there was nothing to be found. I quickly located a Target employee to ask her if she could help me locate the item, she simply stated that they had just got these in stock and are still currently stocking the shelves. I asked her when would the stocking be done, she told me in a few hours or tomorrow. Not once did she offer to go and find the item so that I could purchase it. Had I ordered it for instore pick up instead of driving 15 miles to get this item, I'm pretty sure they would've found it instead. Very disappointing. This store doesn't have very good customer service. I love Target but I'm sure I won't frequent this one again, not unless I have to. read more

This store has gone above and beyond to the call of duty for my family! We take advantage of the curbside pickup service because I have a weaker immune system than most, and we are amazed at the speed and accuracy that our orders are ready, and how quickly they are at our vehicle when we arrive. On several occasions we tried to tip the representative handling our order and they refused to accept it! When we do have to go inside the store to get an item, there are always clean carts waiting for us and the checkout lines are fast and efficient! You folks are doing an amazing job, especially with the feeling that the staff is always working on keeping the store clean and as safe as a place can be under these circumstances!!!! This has to be one of the worst Target stores I have been to. It is conveniently on my home from work so it has made it easier to go here. However, this will be my last time ever going there. I picked up a bag of baby carrots from this location yesterday. The date on the bag said it was still good. However, when I got home to eat them they were covered in a disgusting slime. Which I know is not the stores fault. When I called just to let them know of their disgusting product (I in no way needed a refund) they acted like they did not care and just told me they would replace it next time that I was in. I did not want them replaced but I wanted to let them know that they had a disgusting product on their floor and they did nothing to even check on it! The employees are very polite even when they get the same question "when will there be tp?" Over and over again. I saw employees wearing clean fabric gloves and cloth mask to protect themselves which is the right thing to do! Conserve those disposable supplies for medical! Went in to get a new case for my phone. The guy at the electronics center was standing staring at his phone. I said "excuse me" and he shouted "ya" without breaking eye contact with his phone. Had a bad experience in this store. Was looking for something specific that the app stated was in stock. Looked at the location the app stated the product was located and it wasn't there. Asked an employee who told me I needed to talk to an electronics person. The electronics guy carried on a conversation with the original employee ignoring me for quite a few moments before even acknowledging me. When he did acknowledge me he was impatient and annoyingly asked me, "oh, we have that?" And pulled up the same app I was using. He pulled up a different version of the product and told me that it was online only. I tried to show him that it said the app said that it was in stock in this store. I was trying to show him but he wouldn't look at it and he just responded with "I don't know, maybe. We sometimes have vendors stock stuff." And that was all he had to say...kidding me? I only it go to this target because of the pharmacy, they do an incredible job. However that is not the case with the rest of the store. Today I was waiting in line there were 42 people waiting in line on a Monday afternoon with two registers open. Finally the manager came out and open to register and he called next, once I came up to the register he sent into the back of the line and instead checked out one of his lady friends and publicly yelled at me. I spent thousands of dollars at that target per month and they'll never see another penny. However the staff thought otherwise,they didn't believe me and got very sarcastic and moody with me. I was forced to put the cart back and limp around the store. This Target was one that I used to constantly go to growing up. It's definitely a lot different and the day I went was a lot less crowded than I ever remember it being. It's got a good selection but was a little confusing finding Men's clothing amidst the other clothing sections. Prices of basic Hanes and Fruit of the Loom garments are still pretty pricey. I do believe Target has specific sections which are relatively better than other places but for many of the common products across retail companies (Meijer, Kroger, Kmart, Walmart), Walmart is by far the most affordable option. read more

I'm very upset with the way my recent purchase panned out. I live out of town but my home base is Rochester hills, I've been going to this target since I was a kid. I ordered a very expensive "Fischer price sleeper" as a baby shower gift for my best friend. I spent more than two hours on the phone with the online ordering department to ensure the gift would be delivered to my home in time for the shower today. The gift was delivered but it was not the one I ordered. It was the wrong version. I was quite prudent about what I had ordered, I can't believe they sent me the wrong one! After all of that time on the phone, after I called the store personally, still! The wrong present was delivered and it was not wrapped after I had paid for it to be. I know this sounds like a 1st word problem, and it is. I'm just so disappointed in target and the way they handled it. I called to complain and was placed on hold several times for quite a long time at that! I had no choice but to go to the baby shower with the wrong gift, unwrapped as it was too late. read more
