I'm very surprised at this place…read more It's located on Squire Road in Revere. I must drive by here at least 5 times a week. I just happened to be going to the dollar store which is located directly next door. it just happened that the parking was quite full so I pulled into a spot in Eblens part of the lot. I got out of my car and to my surprise I glanced into the window of Eblens and saw clothing???? I've driven by this place for years and thought that this was an eye glass store. I decided to go in since they had a huge sign stating 80% off everything... I went in and the pricing didn't exactly seem like 80% off retail, but everything that was available seemed cheaply priced. I checked out the clothing but nothing really caught my eye so I headed over to the other side of the store to check out the footwear. They had some nice sneakers but Eblens turned out to be some kind of wholesale outlet with only a couple sizes of each shoe. I did get lucky and find a nice pair of Adidas for $50. The help was not to much help. But I assume it is more of a rummage about and see if you get lucky trying to find one and two offs??? I give a very undeserved 2 Stars only because I did score a nice pair of sneaks.

Deals, deals, deals. I love myself some crazy deals on shoes, clothes, and hats. However the…read moreselection is nothing to be desired for. Compared to the Eblens in Dorchester and Lynn, this store seems like a completely different franchise. There is a general lack of women's shoes, women's clothes, and basically anything related to women. The clothes are extremely dated and never seem to rotate in style. The male clothes tend to come in "big and tall" and that's about it. Compared to the other franchises, the inside is very old and outdated. There is nothing welcoming about it and that definitely includes the staff following you around. Yes, it happens a lot. You can also only try on one shoe instead of two because they are afraid people are going to steal them, so you have that to look forward to. Sometimes you will get a good deal, other times you wouldn't find anything good, and all of the times you will feel incredibly uncomfortable.

Here's a rich sample of wholesome treatment I recieved one Sunday:…read more I'm driving on Rt. 1 at 5:35 p.m. and decided to 411 and call them to ask about their Sunday hours. Better to call ahead then show up and have go to all the way home. The person I spoke with said they were open until 6:00 p.m. Great! So I have 20 or so minutes to shop. Excellent. So I arrive exactly at 5:40 p.m. and run to the back of the store where their shoes are. And by run, I mean QUICK. When I don't have a ton of time, I access what looks good, try it on, GTFO. Simple as that. I'm not there for five seconds when an elderly woman standing a few yards away starts screaming, "store is closing in five minutes, everyone bring your purchases to the register". I'm confused at this point. It's not even quarter till yet! So I keep on hurrying, try shoes on, taking them off. Real fast. I'm good at this trust me. A minute later she started screaming again, the same shit. It was almost like someone was looping her voice on a recorder. At this point I'm seconds away from being done and starting to assemble what I plain on buying. However I got the feeling I was being watched, started at, etc. and I look up. Sure as shit this woman was boring holes into me, and not even in a telling manner - it was more like a death stare. And so I stared back. How fucking rude is that, I'm thinking until....you guessed it! "THE STORE IS CLOSING NOW! GO TO THE REGISTER OR GET OUT." Me: "Can I help you? Any reason why you feel the need to stare at me? Is there a problem?" Cunt: -Basically the same statement again. Me: "Ok, I heard you the other 47894758738457987 times. I get it." Cunt: "There's no need for the attitude missy." Bad move. Me: "Call me missy again, and I'll plant your fucking face in the ground. I called here before coming all the way down, just to have the store shut down the second I walk in. Even after being told otherwise." Then she starts calling me a bitch and a smart ass (real classy) as I grab my purse to leave. I took the six boxes of shoes I was going to buy and threw them on the ground. Have fun cleaning that up. I hope she enjoys making $6.30 per hour for the rest of her life, which I'm sure is only for a short time longer. Hahaha.
