Dear neighbor,
I am writing to share my extremely unfortunate experience with Mr. Skawski. Last spring, I hired him to install a new system after our old one failed. To expedite the process, I paid him a substantial amount of 12k in cash, with the understanding that the work would be completed within two weeks. However, what followed was a nightmare that lasted for months.
After receiving my payment, Mr. Skawski and his team became nearly impossible to reach. Despite my persistent attempts to contact them, I was met with silence for two whole months. Frustrated and concerned, I sought assistance from the state attorney general's office, which prompted a response from Mr. Skawski. He claimed that the delay was due to parts being out of stock. Finally, by the end of September 2022, the work was completed, but the entire summer had passed without the comfort of air conditioning.
With assurances that the system would be checked in the following spring, I eagerly awaited the arrival of warmer weather this year. However, to my dismay, the system proved to be entirely non-functional when I turned it on in early spring. Despite my persistent attempts to reach out to Mr. Skawski and his team, my efforts have been in vain.
I am sharing my ordeal in the hopes of preventing others from falling victim to similar deceitful practices. If you are considering HVAC services, I implore you to learn from my terrible experience. Should you find yourself in a similar situation, I strongly recommend contacting the state attorney general's office. They are friendly and professional, dedicated to protecting our rights and ensuring justice is served in cases like these.
