A beautiful lunch experience on 3/21/26. Skara has authentic Greek food in a new atmosphere. I am a fan of appetizers when having Greek food so we ordered quite a few. They were all delicious. My favorite was the spicy feta dip. My favorite part, by far, was the bougatsa. Simply delicious, and this is coming from someone who goes to Greece every summer and hasn't had bougatsa this good since I was last there. It was so good, I had to complement the chef! Service was good as well. The service was attentive and fast the entire time. Highly recommended. Edited to add: you guys need to play Greek music for the full experience. It's a must!

Finally -- a Fancy Greek Spot in Williston Park! Skara is exactly what Williston Park has been missing -- an elevated, modern Greek restaurant that still feels warm, welcoming, and perfect for both family dinners and date nights. The space is stylish, the service is attentive, and the food delivers across the board. We started with the warm bread and a small dish of olives, pepperoncini, and olive oil -- simple but fresh. The spread platter was one of the best I've had: creamy tzatziki, smoky eggplant dip, tangy hummus, spicy feta, taramosalata, and more. Every spread was flavorful and balanced, and the eggplant dip was a standout -- finally a place that gets it just right. Appetizers were excellent: * Crispy zucchini & eggplant tower -- thin, crunchy slices stacked high with a cool yogurt dip. * Fried calamari -- tender and lightly crisped. * Grilled skewers -- juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. For mains, the branzino was outstanding -- tender, buttery, and beautifully deboned with a bright lemon-caper sauce. The pork chop was unexpectedly incredible: thick-cut, unbelievably juicy, and full of flavor. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection -- tender, seasoned well, and grilled with that classic Greek herb-and-lemon finish. Drinks were another highlight -- creative, elegant, and balanced, definitely cocktail-program level. Dessert sealed the night: a warm, flaky slice of galatoboureko, dusted with powdered sugar and paired perfectly with a scoop of their creamy fig ice cream. A perfect ending. Highly recommend!

We decided to try a new Greek restaurant nearby our home. Parking isn't easy especially on the weekends. We were seated promptly. Service was friendly but not refined. Appetizer was the Skara Chips basically a knockoff of Kyma chips badly executed. Mains included Lamb chops and Branzino both adequately prepared. Desert was great ! Rice Pudding definitely recommended it. Price point was a bit high for the location but average for Roslyn. Lots of Greek restaurant in the area at various price points. I'm not sure the food and service level will be competitive with established competition. Hopefully they will find their niche and survive.

I heard their happy hour specials are great, so I need to come back for that! 2 adults and one kid on a weeknight. Large space, beautifully decorated, friendly and helpful staff. Most of the menu is gluten-free and you can also customize your order. The food and drinks we tried were delicious. 2 of us each had a bowl, one had 3 tacos, plus we shared guacamole w chips. 2 shared churros and one had gelato. Dinner ordering and service went great, but they seemed to have forgotten to put in our dessert order. We waited a VERY long time. While we were waiting for dessert a could servers were nearby cleaning other tables, not checking on us. Eventually we were able to call one over to check on our dessert order. It finally arrived soon after that.

We were a party of three without reservations and were seated right away. We started with chips, guacamole, and the red and green salsas. The chips are more like thin tortillas and were the perfect pairing with a cold beer. For tacos, we tried the duck, pork belly, mojo pork, fish, and chicken verde. The portion size was just right--enough to try a few and still leave full without feeling heavy. The fish taco was one of the best I've had: perfectly crispy with a great crunch, balanced with slaw and sauce. The mojo pork was also really flavorful with a great sauce. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The only downside was that the bathrooms were a bit messy. On a positive note, we noticed dogs outside, which is great if you're looking for a dog-friendly spot. Overall, great tacos, fun atmosphere, and we'll definitely be back.

This place is beautiful and perfect for pretty much any occasion. The first time I brought my sister here for her bday dinner and every dish was absolutely outstanding. The service although it was busy Friday night was also excellent. Our drinks? The smokin gun and spicy margarita were perhaps some of the best drinks we've had in a long time. The minute we left we decided we had to come back again for some drinks and apps. Fast forward to a Thursday night we saw they had a late night happy hour so we decided to give it a try! This is where it all went downhill and I debated on writing this review because I honesty believe in giving businesses sort of a pass for a rough day or just because and you never know know what someone is going through but I was clearly so bothered that I am still thinking about it and I feel like it's only right that the owner should know. We arrived for the late night happy hour and 4 seats happen to be available at the end of the bar. The female bartender proceeded to place menus right in front of us without saying a word. I smiled, kinda hinting hello and when I tell you I just got a blank stare, at first I was confused but again (it's late, it's thursday, people have struggles, be compassionate and move on) Fast forward we order some food, she places mats and utensil in front of us and again nothing, not a word. It was also as if she was annoyed at us for being there. At one point I was speaking Spanish with one of my girlfriends and I noticed she finally looked at us and smiled. I'm unsure what that was about but I was happy to see her smile for once. Finally I noticed a couple came in and went straight to the bartender and right away I noticed her tone and demeanor changed, she was much happier to see them. So I guess she had a decent day after all. The couple and the bartender kinda pointed towards us as if we had taken their seats. This is all happening right in front of my eyes. Now listen, I'm an expert on picking up cues and noticing things around me. It's pretty much what I do for a living. The couple then sat against the wall behind and we could just feel that we just weren't wanted there that night. The vibe and energy felt really off and when I tell you this was perhaps one of the worse customer services experiences I've ever had in this type of establishment, I am not lying. It felt very dismissive and unwelcoming without even saying anything. I'm really disappointed because Ive been bragging to all my friends about this place and really looked forward to the same experience I had previously but this wasn't the case. I'm not sure of if I will be back, but I do hope the managers and owners here give their staff better training on how to treat customers. A simple hello, a smile, and being kind goes a long way not only in the business word but in life.

An entire hour for food that was nothing special and the smallest portions I've ever seen. The staff was nice but seemed unprepared and unsure and no one knew the specials, no one could answer a single question, and everything moved at the speed of a snail!!! on!!! sedatives!!! And honestly, the food is just not good. Nothing stood out, nothing worth waiting an hour for, and definitely not worth the price. And the thing is... if they were busy, I'd honestly be like "okay, fine, it happens." But I was literally 1/3 tables in the whole place. Hard to give any grace when it's that empty and still this bad!!! When it's finally Friday and you're excited for dinner out... this ain't it!!! No wonder OpenTable offered me 1000 points to come here lol. Update: We were so over it that we asked for the dessert (included with the prix fixe) to go. Ended up eating it at home in sweats and that was actually the best part of the whole night. The s'mores cookie skillet wasn't bad. So yeah... 2 stars instead of 1 and both of those stars belong to the cookie!!!
