Before the crowd hits

Stopped in on this rainy Friday, great music, great speciality drinks, food options; amazing, mixed crowd - all levels so don't come with bias - Come to have a good time - great for groups, birthday parties, meetings or solo --- Bartenders mix well and are attentive. I'm a former club head so 5 stars from me is pretty hottttt - if you're not interested in being here when there's a crowd come early - cover charge at the door - cards accepted for all payments.

The ambiance on a Friday night is very chill. It can get very lit here. The food is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I've never had a bad meal here. The patio is well lit and decorated for the Summer. The music is pretty upbeat and lively. The service is okay. But he FOOD! anything you order will be guaranteed a 10/10. I think they have the best honey old bay wings in Baltimore. Hookah is $30 very affordable compared to other places in the city. the perfect balance of a lounge and eatery.

I came here on a Saturday evening around 7 PM for dinner. We sat at the bar which wasn't very crowded at that point and the bartenders were friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken sizzle, one of their signature dishes. The portion size is very generous at only $13--you could easily share it between two people and still be full. However, it wasn't terribly flavorful despite its appearance. If I had some Creole seasoning and hot sauce it would have been great. The dj started doing his thing around 7:30 and was on fire all night. Note that the place becomes a nightlife venue after 9 PM and they charge a $10 cover. I'd come back here and try some of their other dishes but for now I'm giving them a strong 3.5/5.

Food, drinks, and music all in one. This place is a one-stop spot for a Saturday night. The waitress was very nice and attentive. It was 10+ ppl, and she managed to stay on top of everything. Two bars, plenty of tables, and a small dance floor. Better come early to get a seat and stay late to dance. The drinks could use a little more liquor in them. The sangria was sooo good!!!! Ceasars salad was huge(next time I'll get my dressing on the side)! Crab dip was perfect!

Came here for a birthday happy hour location is perfect as it's in a corner so easily in/out, plenty of parking available. Inside is quite spacious, several bars around so there is plenty of seating- bathrooms were clean. Sat at the bar and was greeted by Angela(she was very friendly, engaging and I can see why people returns) then met Tangela(hope I spelled her name correctly) made the drink Mango Bite(Mke) delicious had Ciroc Mango and Coconut in there not sure what else but was delicious. Although there weren't much choices on the menu and I didn't really see any Happy hour prices I would come back. The atmosphere was friendly and the drinks were quite good. Thank you two ladies for making my first experience a pleasant one.

Man listen, this place has never been on my radar. I've never even heard of the place. I don't frequent east Baltimore county often so that's another reason I never heard of the place. My wife's cousin invited us to celebrate his birthday and what's the saying "we had a time that night". The atmosphere was booming and it was very spacious. They had two bars available so you didn't wait long to get drinks or order food. And the music was booming. If it wasn't so far, I'd go back soon, but trust me, Sizzle is a great spot.

FRAUD! This is AFTER the manager "adjusted" the receipt to reflect the HH discounts. Only $1 was taken off, not the $2.50 listed nor $3!

Bad Service, Mediocre Food, FALSIFIED BILLS I'll start with the most important descriptor that surely caught your eye. The Saturday Happy Hour at this wretched place featured drink specials that included $1.50 off drinks and appetizers. I ordered a $3.50 domestic and a $7.00 Nacho Supreme. So for the non-math wizards in the house, the bill was supposed to be $7.50 plus tax. When my bill came back to me for $11.60, I immediately took my receipt back to the bar where a manager so happened to be present. After her looking at the supposed deductions listed, she proceeded to explain to me that the listed deductions where on the receipt. I advised her, yes the receipt LISTS the discounts but the total CLEARLY doesn't reflect them! After waiting for her to grab her cell phone to add it up, she took my receipt, called herself manually adding in some type of discount that still didn't add up and also wasn't the amount that was supposed to be discounted (she ultimately only took ONE DOLLAR OFF). I'll let you take a look at the math on my photo- maybe you can help me "Make it make sense!" There were two other individuals in my party that had receipts that were incorrect as well. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR RECEIPTS, THEY WILL TRY TO OVERCHARGE YOU! If that alone isn't enough to make you think twice about going, I had to literally stalk the bartender for service after the waiter at our table kept forgetting about us. Normally, if it were a busy night, I would give some understanding but when there's a total of 3 tables in the restaurant, 8 people at the bar, and only 1 table + 2 people were not with my crew and all of us are having the same issue, something's got to give. To top it all off outside of that, I ordered nachos with no meat, no cheese, no sour cream and had to send it back twice because it kept coming out wrong. How you get an order of tortilla chips with jalapenos and olives with a side of salsa wrong is beyond me but this place was batting 1000. Also keep in mind that meat was extra so they were trying to upcharge me without me requesting an add-on item. Save yourself a trip and find somewhere else to go!

I'm giving 3 stars because I actually like the facility. I love on the west side of the county, so it was a bit of a hike for me to get to Sizzle. It would be nice to have a place like this on my side of town. The atmosphere is nice. The dance floor is big and the crowd was mixed. The drinks are good and well priced, and the food is good but took forever to get to our table. An hr and a half of drinking and not eating... There was an incident that occurred on the dance floor which resulted in a young lady hitting her head and bleeding. The area was cleaned up but the party wasn't stopped for the matter. Bodily fluids like that should be sanitized, not mopped. And I can only imagine where that mop will end up! This is not a place I would frequent because it is so far from me, but I did enjoy myself. If the food came to us sooner, my only complaint would be the way the situation. With the young lady was handled. When the food finally came out, it was good. The flatbread are tasty and the egg rolls are top notch.

Came here a couple of months ago with my crew for a fun night out. Love pretty much everything about my time here. Ladies were free before 11pm and then I think cover is $10. The vibe is great. The DJ had us lit the whole night. There a dance floor and it's good amount of space. Drinks were reasonably and the menu had a good variety. The food was really good too. I had chicken tenders and fries and I sampled some of my friends' food, mainly the seafood flatbread, and the Southwest eggrolls. My only complaints were food took forever to get to the table and they need to do more check ups on the restrooms because the women's room was gross.

The Chicken Parmesan sandwich I had last night was on point and my girlfriend had a very good chicken quesadilla as well. Prices are pretty reasonable. My only beef is with the service. The bar is a little "cliquey" from several observations. The regulars seem to get waited on immediately and a newcomer gets a "I'll be right with you". No placemats, no silverware, no napkins seems to be the norm. Had to ask for ketchup when my fries came out after getting chips by mistake. We will most likely go back though, especially since The Bird River Inn changed their whole menu and did away with most of our favorite menu items. Everything is smoked now and very salty. If you're looking for ambience, you may want to try somewhere else. The Dugout is a hole in the wall dive bar and has been for decades...just the way the regulars like it!

They have one pool table where APA league members usually play, a shuffle board, and a number of TVs for sports games (although they are not HD). I could tell this was a local go-to for many of the customers at this bar especially since they all seemed to know each other. Our bartender was very friendly with helping us decide what to order. We got the Belly Buster Fried Fish sub ($8.99), with a side of fries (an extra $2) and Italian Cold Cut ($9.50), with a side of chips (free), along with a Loose Cannon ($5.00) & Grapefruit Crush ($6.00). The subs were pretty good. The fried cod (I believe it was) was nice and crispy and the tartar sauce paired perfectly to cut the richness of the grease. The portion was definitely money's worth. The cold cuts in my sub were fresh. There was enough acid to not make the bread soggy. The grapefruit crush was very icy. I noticed the bartender made it by blending a grapefruit fruit cup with ice and some grapefruit-vodka. When I was done with my first drink, she poured the rest of the mixture from the blender into my glass, which I thought was very nice. All in all, dugout tavern is a hidden gem that has great food and service. There is also parking on site and outdoor seating.

On the plus side my family enjoyed the ribs and crab balls. On the negative side, the fish in my fish and chips was painfully thin and small. Normally you get a nice chunky piece of fish when you get fish and chips. Not only that, l've never had fish and chips where the skin was on the fish. I left most of the skin behind, but ate some of it because the portion was so small. I had to eat something. Please have the chef look up what fish and chips is supposed to look like. Despite being the only server, our wait person was outstanding - it wasn't their fault that they had to handle the entire dining room. . Also appreciated the carafe of water on the table - but why no ice -had to drink lukewarm water. Make sure to ask for prices upfront and verify-for a single crabcake entrée, we paid $63 when it's advertised online as 30. Let the buyer beware..
