Here to drop off the keys at 7am and they are still closed. Me and another costumer are waiting patiently for them to open and the other costumer has been here before me. I got here at 6:58am. It's 7:22 right now and it's still closed. They should be ashamed of the way they operate down here at this location. And funny this is that this is my first time renting with them. Wasn't impressed with the cleanliness of the car I rented BMW X5 I thought that they could've done a better job at that as well. I will say that Marteena the salesperson was very friendly and professional. So that's the reason for the additional star or else it would've been a a 1-star. Just opened at 7:27am. Wowzah . I was going to leave one star or no stars but the manger there was amazing and helped us remedy the situation we were in! When we first went In to get our car they lady looked like she (Marteena) didn't want to be there! She was not helpful and when she gave us the car and there was over 20 items of damages. She said not to worry it only scratches, but when we got to the car that was not the case 'side note the garages around the corner in the back and up on the 7floor.' The car was so dirty looks like they didn't even wash it inside and out! The scratches ended up being large cracks in the black plastic and falling off! Once we got in the car we drove it back down to the front and called for the lady that help us, she totally ignored us and helped another customer! At that point the manager saw us and asked us if we had an issue. He came out and looked at the car and told us it was unacceptable and that he will get us a new car!! Thank goodness! The worst. They scammed me. First I called to confirm they have the car we need (7 passenger GNC, like an escalade). Made the reservation. Then came to pick up the car. Have been waiting over an hour. Only one employee working. Lots of angry people waiting and upset about their reservations. It's finally our turn, and they don't have the car! They tried to sell me a small KIA for the same price as the Escalade / GNC car. $300 for a Kia.? Are you crazy? What a scam. They lied to us telling us the car is here so we'd make the reservation, and then tried to give us a cheap small rental. Avis rents Kia's for $30-40 a day. Also, the people working here are useless. Can't call a manager, can't do anything about the car, can't give us a discount or an upgrade for lying to us and wasting 1.5 hours of our time so far. Once you make a reservation and pay there's no refund. So stay away!!! Only use real company car rental places. Avis, hertz, silver car. There are so many better options! read more

We initially had a very bad experience, but once I made my unhappiness very clear, the manager rectified it. I pre-paid for a three day rental and when I got there one hour after the time I said I'd pick it up they said they had given that car class (sedan) away to a walk in customer. They said it would be at least 45 minutes for another sedan to be ready but that we could upgrade to another car (BMW suv) for $700 if we didn't want to wait. That pricing seemed particularly high to me so I looked online and indeed if I rented a BMW then and there through the app it would've been about $350 dollars. When I pointed this discrepancy out to the manager, he did honor the lower price and even upgraded the type of BMW. So I was satisfied, but I'm aware future customers might get this poor treatment as well. Beware of the attempted upsell and beware if you're late for your car, even if you've pre-paid, they think that means that they can not honor your reservation. read more

My experience with Sixt was terrible. I reserved an economy vehicle, but when I went to pick it up, there weren't any economy vehicles available, so they gave me a Chevy Tahoe instead at the same rate. I was excited because the truck had great features. When I went to fill the tank up after my rental, which was only 1 day, I filled up to 7/8th full, which was exactly the same way I received it. Afterward, I noticed they charged me an extra $32 dollars for my rental. They claim that the tank was full when I first got the car, and they charged me $32 for the 1/8th that I was off. So besides the $30 I originally put in for gas, I had to pay an extra $32 due to Sixt claiming they gave me a full tank. I complained, and they just kept saying they'll get back to me, but whenever I called they just kept saying it's up to customer service, but they never reached out to me either. Not only was I ripped off, but they didn't even bother trying to hear me out. Never again renting with Sixt. Stick to one of the more well-known companies. read more

Unprofessional rude and dishonest with no internal communication. Very disorganized no one knows what is going on there. Very poor customer service and they make up damages after you hand deliver a perfect car to them. Stay away from this location for sure. I have had good experiences with this company before. Rented a few times from this location every time unprofessional and this last time they are claiming dents on a car a week after they accepted it back in perfect condition. BEWARE!!! very dishonest! They charged an extra day, excess milage (on the reservation online showed unlimited miles included) and gas (we returned the tank full)! We made a reservation to pick on Lincoln location, they couldn't find the reservation and they didn't have the car we wanted either. So we made another reservation online, picking the car at Collins and 43rd. When we got there they told us we had two reservations and didn't know why the others location could not find it. Did not have the class of car that I had reserved and made me pay for that luxury car anyway, with a promise of "discount" on return of car. We booked a convertible- Mercedes- on the ad they were advertising Mercedes in small font disclosing that it can be substituted by BMW or A3. Turns out they have no Mercedes or BMW inventory. They advertise cars they don't have at all to be rented. Same with convertible Mini - the office is blasting with commercials of convertible Minis and they never had them in Inventory. When we asked why - they started referencing small font in the agreement, types of the car - the typical poor salesmen talk when you hear one. We waited 40 minutes for our reservation. Every 15 minutes we asked whether we are getting the car they were saying the car is two minutes away. 40 minutes passed and we stared to be really late and asked them where the car is. They started to escalate all the time inserting "it's United States, you cannot do it". It hit another low when a girl from another counter got into this argument and started to yell that she will call the cops. Granted,we were very upset that we did not get the car but I cannot imagine anyone behaving like that in NY- all seemed pretty bad neighborhood ghetto style. I have never seen anything quite like that in my life. I guess that's normal in their part of the woods to call cops when you cannot give a car to a client and client keeps pressing you for the time when the car is going to come. I really wanted to see what cops would do to two people waiting for their car to get to Butterfly World out of all places. We missed our lunch. We finally got the car and we were late for the butterflies. Two starts because the guy in the end apologized (at least)! They could possibly have gotten three stars if they let us see the cops show - I guess we will never find out what that looks like. It's a bad choice for rental, though it definitely provides some unique entertainment. read more

I selected my desired pickup date for the day before Thanksgiving but instead of telling me it was not available, it automatically changed the date to the day after Thanksgiving and I didn't catch it. Now we can't rent a car over the holidays. Because I pre-paid they are wanting to charge me more than $400 in cancellation fees. When I call their customer service for any reason, there is no person to talk to. It just referrs me to the website for any changes. Horrible experience. Will never rent from Sixt again. read more

If I could give this place "0" stars I would. I'm honestly shocked this place is still in business with how horribly unorganized they seemed. When we checked in, they had our reservation completely wrong-- incorrect dates, incorrect drop off, inflated price. After spending over 45 minutes attempting to correct the details of my reservation, I thought we finally set things straight. Wrong! Turns out they gave me the car under someone else's reservation- completely different first name, slightly similar last name (still no excuse). We didn't realize this until we were almost to our final destination. When I called to add the toll pass to our reservation, they said they'd add it and call back to confirm. I never got a call... I figured because they got confused since I gave them my last name which I later found out wasn't correct on the reservation. I'm still concerned that the person with the name which ended up on my reservation must have had a nightmare of a time trying to check out her car once she got to the location. When I called and informed them of this error, they didn't seem concerned and hardly apologized. Though the girls at this location were kind and friendly, they seemed pretty incompetent given all the errors associated with our reservation. Oh, we also booked through Expedia and were not told to bring TWO PIECES of photo id- thank god I had an old school id in my wallet or we wouldn't have been able to rent the car. I definitely would not recommend renting from this location or any Sixt branch for that matter. read more

This place has 0 customer service skills. We walked in with a reservation we made online and the place was packed with 1 rental agent working. We weren't greeted or acknowledged by any employee. There was no kind of system in place to recognize which customer is first, or next. They just expect the customers to keep some kind of order in place....very bizarre. Finally a second agent showed up, but the process of dealing with the waiting customers was just as slow and unengaging. She even walked out with a customer I guess to show him where the car was and was gone for like 15 minutes. This place needs to serious management overhaul, until then I would stay away from here. read more

If there were zero stars that's how I would rate it. Horrible experience!! I was driving approx 31 mpg as stated on the car's odometer and I drove 140 miles total. I used 5 gallons total with $8 per gallon. A sane person with basic math skills knows that it equates to $40. This specific store tried to tell me that I drove over 400 miles and used 11.9 gallons, THEN charged me an additional $94 for gas. Things does not match up. Dishonest store employees!! Stay away from this store! There will definitely never be a "next" time with this rental company. Will never recommend to anyone. read more

Working through the Sixt website, I reserved a car - in fact I reserved 3 cars before cancelling two after I finally made up my mind on the one that best fit my needs, a compact SUV (Mercedes GLC) for 9 am the next day. I walked to the Sixt office the next morning at 8:30 am, only to get a call on my way that the car I had reserved was unavailable. A bit upset, I asked what other cars are available, and the agent said.... none! I was astonished. I asked if I heard her right, that there were no cars to be rented, and she confirmed. I asked why the online system took 3 reservations when there were no cars, and she said yes, that's been a problem. A PROBLEM? THAT'S WHAT THE WORD RESERVATION MEANS, THAT THEY RESERVE A CAR FOR YOU. She said she expected some to be returned by 10 or 11 am, and promised to call me when the first returned car came in. Almost needless to say, no call was ever received. I hopped on Uber and headed for Enterprise on Bay Road and they had a great car readily available for a price cheaper than Sixt. Avoid Sixt at all costs. read more

I had used Sixt in the past (renting from Orlando airport) and found them great. On this occasion I chose them as again the rates were by far the best. Positives: service was friendly and efficient; upgraded to a Mercedes which was great. Negative here which I had not found in Orlando was the attempt to have us purchase multiple add ons - now while it is expected that these will be offered, this was (as compared to many car rentals in the US and Australia) the hardest sell attempt, and involved much misinformation. This included everything from the price we should expect to pay throughout Florida for fuel to the administrative cost that would be applied to any tolls if we didn't purchase the toll service, and the impossibility of avoiding tolls (we had only 3, within Miami, and avoided in the other places we'd had dire warnings of). While I will use Sixt again, I will avoid this particular location due to the con factor. read more
