Arriving at the rental car facility, there were about 8-10 people waiting ahead of me and 4 people behind the counter that serviced both Budget rentals and Avis rentals. After 20 minutes, most of the people on the line realized that the line had not moved at all. After another 20 minutes, two people had finally left the counter with car keys. 40 more minutes, no one left with car key due to half the staff taking breaks. And the line behind me was getting longer with another 5+ potential car renters looking to get a vehicle. 90 minutes later, we got our car. Did the reps behind the counter spend more time selling car insurance instead of getting you out of their quickly? Absolutely. And we were assured that the Renault Scenic was the biggest car they had, same size as a Ford Galaxy which is a European sized minivan. Well, guess what...it's not. Both of my sons are 6'3", wife and daughter are 5'7" and what we needed was a Renault Espace, not the Scenic. But since the insurance salesman behind the counter did not know the difference, we were stuck with this tiny car for the next week. Really terrible experience, poor customer service and the car was terrible to drive. Would. Not. Recommend.

The car was returned in good condition except for some dust on the floor mats, nothing excessive. I called Budget customer service to dispute the charge. They said I left the car with dog hair and dirt all over the seats. This is wrong. I don't own a pet, nor did I leave dirt on the seats. Beware of Budget's new scam and take photos when returning the car. Do not rent from Budget LAX!

Don't ever rent a car from Europcar, they are VERY BAD NEWS…read more Europcar falsely accused and charged me for key lock damage AFTER I returned the car very early in the morning at Malpensa Airport in Milan, Italy. They did not have an attendant at the car return site so I dropped the keys in a special "key drop box" at the kiosk. They claimed unspecific damage and charged me 400 + Euros and sent me a bill. They have never provided me with any details about the damage they claim. After much back and forth they finally state it was damage to the key lock but not which lock specifically. I have spoken to friends who have also used Europcar and had the same bad experience. At the car return I locked the car by pressing the key on the pad and it was in perfect order. I also had full insurance on the rental. Europcar are ripping people off!! NO STAR

It was very ridiculous and we talked to other customers and others had the same problem of the company canceling other reservations. Reservations mean nothing. Very bad service. And they did not care or have sympathy at all.

Avis at Linate airport is one of the several car rental firms present here. I end up renting from…read morethem since they often have the best prices for automatic cars and since I prefer that over manual it is a good choice. Service is usually pretty fast and I am a member of Avis preferred I can go straight to the car park and pick up the car. The fees charged for full insurance and GPS are ridiculously high but especially the full insurance is recommended in Italy as I have numerous times had parking damage on my car when exiting in the morning. The GPS is often not up to date so depending on where in Italy you drive it is of varying degrees of help. When complaining about it this Avis location is however very good in always removing the fee for it. Price for a full tank of gas is also pretty decent so I usually return it almost empty and avoid the hassle of finding a gas station. All together this is a decent option for car rental - not great but not bad either.
