Fun in the sun! Phoenix needs more water parks, with our warm climate we can enjoy warm weather for many months! I hope our Hurricane Harbor isnt going anywhere! I was reading online that Six Flags was closing by 2027? I hope it's only certain locations! We came to Hurricane Harbor Phoenix the weekend before school starts for our first time and had a great time! I recommend coming right when they open. The day we came they opened at 1030 am. The lines weren't long at all. I did learn that we should have gone to the popular rides first because the lines got long in the afternoon at Big Kahuna, Mammoth falls and Serpentines/Typhoon Twister. The boys really loved the rainbow slide with the blue mat you lay on. We did this one a few times. The wait for the ride wasn't bad because 6 people can slide down at the same time. The wave pool was also very popular, we went here a few times as well. The big kahuna is a family fun ride! You sit in a huge raft that can fit large groups. We waited for maybe 35 min so this would also be one of the rides you should go to first when they open. I do appreciate all the misters that are attached on the railings at all the rides. This made waiting in line in the Arizona heat very bare-able! The only ride we didn't get to was Bahama Blaster, next time this will be one of the rides we go to once they open. I did not bring my younger son, who is 4, but now I know he will love the little kid rides at Coconut Bay and Splash Island! I can't wait to bring him, he will have so much fun! I took pictures of most of the food menus because prices have increased throughout the years. I was looking ahead of time to get a ball park of what food would cost but could not find updated prices. I was trying to decide if the food pass is worth it. We didn't have complaints about the food. My husband and my son's friend liked their burger and fries, my son and I liked the nachos. If your kids don't like jalapeños, you can ask for them on the side. The icee slushee drink is huge, the boys did not finish theirs. You could easily get one and have the kids split it. The park does have drinking fountains near the bathrooms if you need a quick sip of water while running around or you can go into the tidal wave cafe and get a water cup from the counter and get free water with ice at the soda station. They do offer a food pass which I might consider for next season! Not a bad deal! I do wish the park would stay open till end of October instead of September because it's usually still very warm here in Phoenix. Thanks for the fun experience and see you next time!

the annual pass is worth it. We are always on a budget, but we got them at $50 and its annual Gold pass so many benefits. We go 1 day a week but this week we went twice. I go early less people. I burned 500 calories per trip, my kids are outside exercising instead of being inside the house eating all day bored. The food is expensive, so we try to eat before, i get then their slushie on the way out and then i cook when i get home. Not bad so far. Even my 17yr old went for once and he enjoyed the lazy river and i think i saw a smile . Cant wait to go next week.

So much fun! Cheaper to buy online like half the price

So much fun ! It's like half price if you buy online vs the counter. It's clean and lots to do

    rusted out slide

Pov your parents both die so you go to the waterpark to get your mind off things at age 16, but guess what? You need a chaperone at age 16 even though you could work there in age 16. So you genuinely just go to your car and start crying because I guess I need my parents. Hurricane Harbor will lose so much business because of it. It's almost like a scam. They wait for all the kids to buy their passes and then just make them bring their parents, even if they don't have them. All the slides are arrested you get stuck on half of them. My shoulder got skin to bare meat on one of them and my fingers got stuck in a vent on the other and ripped two nails. Good luck opening next year. if I was the owner I would just close the park to put everyone out of their misery. We'll never come back and we'll always be going to golf land from now on Golfland is not pathetic and sad.

    rusted floor to fall through

everything is rusted and make sure you have tetnis shots and health insurance! slide suck and you get stuck! Terrible staff, and they

It was one of the coolest six flags I've been to down here in AZ, it was packed with lots of people and family's the rides were crazy and had a couple of crazy scary drop, which made me ride even more rides. But I'd definitely recommend coming here the people are nice friendly and lots of things to do there.

This place was so fun! Whenever we are home for the summers in Arizona (our second home) this is our go to spot for cooling off and water park fun! Been taking my kid since she was 2 and she's 6 currently. To Save money I would indefinitely purchase the season passes and parking. Food was pretty pricey and mediocre. Also had little stop and shops to purchase souvenirs or necessities as we forget them at times. Overall a great place for summertime fun! (2019)

First single rider ride to the right when you enter park.

Was nervous about going due to horrible reviews. Honestly we had fun and didn't come across any issues. There was a group of younger side of teen boys trying to cut the line but I told them nope they ended up a group or two behind us so I let this really nice lifeguard know and he kicked them to the very end of the line and everyone clapped. I would definitely go back again. We went on a Friday, it got a little crowded but not too terrible.

We loved the experience and all the slides were open. The only complaint I have is the cost of food. A funnel cake almost $15!

Hurricane Harbor Phoenix Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Hurricane Harbor Phoenix

Can I take a stroller / or wagon?

Yes it is stroller friendly. Just very expensive!

Is it crowded today? How long is the wait for rides?

Not too bad considering it's a warm summer day on the weekend. Longest wait I had was 18 minutes, and it was shaded + misters were on.

    Do you guys sell alcohol?

    Ya.

Se puede meter bebidas y comida?

No permitimos bebidas o alimentos comprados de afuera.

Can you leave park and return? Like for lunch? Most families don't have a ton of money to buy food from such an expensive menu

Yes just get a stamp before leaving the park

Can I bring my own tube?? Update no you can't bring your own tube

I would try lol. Like an in blown up one in your towel bag maybe. Worth a shot!

Do you have to pay for a tube every time you go down a slide?

No, unless if you want you can buy one so you can skip some of the lines

Are you still open? What are the covid protocols?

Yes, and there is some but very little covid protocols

How much is the entrance fee?

    $39.99

How in the world are you supposed to wear a mask at a water park?

Sheep will find a way to wear a mask

Do you bring your own towels?

    Yes

What type of footwear is allowed on the rides? My mother is a diabetic and is not permitted to go without shoes.

Water shoes are allowed as long as it's not flip flops as those will fly off and they make you hold them on your hands

Are there any discounts at all for Cabanas? We are going next week and I need to rent one for medical reasons but they are expensive!

Please reach out to the park regarding your upcoming visit. If no one answers the phone, please leave a message so we can return the call. (623) 201-2000

Are my children allowed to lap-sit with me on the bigger boogie bay slides or the Wet N Wild Jr slides?

Due to safety concerns and attraction regulations set in place by the manufacturer, lap sitting is not permitted on any of our attractions. Thank you.

I read online they offer discounted admission for Tucson residents, is this true?

This is true. It is available online and at the front gate. We just need to verify your zip code at the time of the transaction as the deal is only available to residents of Tucson, proper. Thank you.

How much are the food options?

We offer traditional amusement park food options, ranging from french fries, up to full-sized pizzas. The pricing ranges from $5 and goes up from there. If you're looking for a good deal, head on over to our website (www.wetnwildphoenix.com) and…

Will this place be open for Spring Break?

Hello Joaquin. It all depends on when Spring Break falls for your family. Please visit our website for the best answers: https://www.wetnwildphoenix.com/park-info/park-operating-hours/ Thank you for reaching out!

Wher would you recommend we go I have 2 kids 13 and 14 and my husband. Either wet and wild or sunsplash?

Sunsplash, better prices, shorter lines, and better food! Also good rides, but looking for bigger rides do wet and wild, but the opposite, longer lines, double the price, and the food is around 15$ a person!!! Also wayyyy understaffed!

We bought the Sunset Beach Pass (discounted price, 6pm to close) and came on a Friday night to beat the heat while avoiding the peak temps of the day. We actually had to reschedule due to a dust storm a week before and the staff was very accommodating. There is something to do for everyone here! Surfing, boogie boarding, playing in the water, cliff jumping, and even volleyball. So much fun! The sand and beach chair area is a nice touch to give it that true beach feel. Being a Friday night, it was very busy and tons of teenagers there. The cliff jumping was packed but still very fun! Plenty of space for older and younger kids to all participate together. Lifeguards are always present. At the end of the night they stop surfing and let everyone go the whole way into the wave pool which is a blast! Probably the most fun part. Only giving it a 4 star for a few reasons. Line/wait was very long even with pre-purchased tickets. Everything is very pricey! Lifeguards need microphones or something - yelling basically was pointless. Felt crammed in the seating area and beach part. No outside beverages, water, or food is extreme for families. Overall, it was a very fun night and awesome way to beach the heat! Would come back again for sure!

Before we even got in the water, I found myself wandering through the merch shop. I have to give them credit--they actually have some pretty cool stuff. I ended up buying a sweat- and water-resistant hat with a shaka patch on it. Needless to say, I left happy before I even hit the water. The surf lagoon is the obvious star of the show. Having waves crash onto a white sandy beach is a pretty awesome experience, especially here in Arizona. There were plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and shaded areas, so it never felt like we were fighting for space. The diving pool was another pleasant surprise. There are multiple platforms to jump from, and the lifeguards allow enough freedom to have fun without making the experience feel overly restrictive. If you're feeling adventurous, they also offer body surfing and surf lessons. The amenities were solid as well. The bathrooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of changing rooms and stalls. Lockers are available to rent, which is a nice convenience if you're bringing the family. We also grabbed food while we were there. No, it isn't five-star dining, but that's not why you're here. More importantly, it was genuinely better than I expected for a water park. What impressed me most was the overall atmosphere. It was energetic without feeling chaotic. My family had an absolute blast, but somehow the park still managed to feel relaxing and comfortable--something I can't say about many water parks. We'll definitely be back.

First two times I arrived all 3 were blocked off for various other rec things. I go in today and one court is blocked off for PICKLEBALL. YES, they have an empty Pickleball court and lifted the hoops even though there's 30 pickleball courts outside. The 2nd court had 5 year old kids training with coaches. The 3rd court has Seniors fitness day even though we have multiple patios, an upstairs section, an actual gym that hardly gets used and an outdoor pool area. What's the point in 3 courts if they are the least allowed to be used? Their first gym floor was improperly installed and they just had the entire gym closed for about 6 weeks. I was excited to come back and play on better floors. I get there and the SAME EXACT floors were installed... the wrong floor type and the panels were installed in the wrong orientation AGAIN! lady at the front desk even mentioned it to me. They never put a clear coat over the top of the floor and they used basic sticker tape on top of the floors to create their basketball outline again. You can use your fingernails and feel the lifted exposed tape. THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE ANKLE INJURIES IN THE FUTURE!!! You cannot have exposed, lift tape as people are sliding and stopping on them. I dove for a ball on day 1 and ripped a 6 inch hole on my hip because the floor is like concrete with no surface coating that allows forgiveness. Absolutely disappointing week 1. I go to the gym. It's low energy and the music is sooo low you can't even hear the lyrics. PUMP IT UP!!! Feels like a quiet retirement center at the moment. I'm going to consider ending my membership after the first month if they keep blocking off the courts. I will adjust my rating if they continue to make this place better. I am not a complainer but when you install the wrong floors twice and make it unplayable... you're going to lose the basketball community. (Fingers crossed) EDIT: Soooooo. I jumped through their hoops and scheduled time off to fit into their slim schedule to make their Open Gym on Wednesday night. I walk in and one court has half the court blocked off with an empty PICKLEBALL court AGAIN!!!! The other court was blocked off with some skills challenge. THEY BLOCKED OFF TWO COURTS TO PUT TWO RANDOM GAMES THAT WAS NOT BEING USED INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE SKILLS CHALLENGE AND THE PICKBALL COURT ON THE SAME COURT TO FREE UP AN ENTIRE BASKETBALL COURT!!!! How incompetent can management be???!!! It doesn't matter how beautiful the facility is if there's no common sense to what your community wants. We had 14 of us asking them to move the skills challenge to the basketball/pickleball court so we can play. Nope... we all have to sit there and follow bad rules and watch two half courts not being used. These tactics is EXACTLY why Legacy Sports Complex down the street wasn't successful. Another beautiful facility ran by incompetent middle management people who have zero clue about sports. I don't like speaking about people like this. But they're deserving to be scolded after non stop negligence. People on FB were complaining too and their friends didn't come out after they found out we couldn't play AGAIN! Absolutely wild. It's been one week and I'm already debating on canceling. How much money is this facility loosing in opportunity costs because of this? Lowed my rating another star again. I will raise my star rating if someone improves the common sense at this place.

I'd give the cleanliness and overall park quality a 10/10. There's something for all ages, and it's easy to spend a whole afternoon there. The train is definitely cute and fun for kids, but it's a bit overpriced at $5 per ticket, even for a one-year-old. Unfortunately, our experience with the train staff really took away from it. The woman taking tickets was extremely rude and didn't speak to us at all -- no hello, no eye contact, no thank you, nothing. It honestly felt like she didn't want to be there or interact with families. I was trying to make it a fun moment for my child by having them hand over the ticket, but they actually got scared and hid behind me. The woman selling the tickets, on the other hand, was very kind and welcoming. The park itself can also get very crowded, and we noticed older kids sometimes take over the younger kids' play areas, which can make it hard for little ones when there's roughhousing or inappropriate language. That's not really the park's fault, but it's something to be aware of if you have small children. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting at least once because it's a beautiful space with tons to do. I personally prefer smaller neighborhood parks for a calmer experience, but Anthem Community Park is great in terms of facilities. The biggest areas for improvement would be crowd management in the play areas and better, more family-friendly staffing for the train.
