For example, I got a text from him at 10:30pm letting me know a project would be started in the morning. I have numerous examples of his late responses. Tomas (of the Galindo family) arrived on the property at 7:30am to re-stain a pergola and fence. His work was outstanding and very conscientious. He took down hanging baskets and artwork from all over the pergola and put them back in place. His staining work was excellent. The pricing was fair. Juan provided a written invoice prior to the work. We will continue to work with them as the workmen are top notch. As a new business owner, Juan has a lot to learn in effective communication. We support him fully.

They, of course, refuse to take responsibility for it and said they would come out and repair it for a fee. I paid the fee (against all I believed in) and they canceled the appointment later and said they are moving locations and can no longer come out for repair. So they can't repair their own work, a problem they created. How convenient. They said there are other companies out there. Really? Excuse me? Allie was very rude on the phone and hung up on me and not professional at all. I was not yelling or being rude. I was simply asking her questions, but she was so short and had no care. Wouldn't you have questions as a concerned customer about what the heck is going on when you're just being left out to hang dry? I don't need another company that did not do the work to come out and repair the work. I need the company that I signed contracts/agreements with to hold up their end of said contract/agreement. They are so quick to make you sign something saying you will be liable to this document but it's okay for them to just back out of it. I cannot believe this is happening. Wow. I am new to Austin and I want all to know and hear what I have to say. The lady at the front desk is awesome. She obviously has been asked the exact same questions a thousand times, but with a smile and patience she will answer whatever you need to know as if you were her first and only customer. you WILL feel equipped with knowledge for your project. She will make sure you walk away with what you came to get, and often a little different because she masters her stuff and will likely teach you a thing or two. I came wanting to buy a large amount of organic compost. individual bags are way more expensive than bulk (for them it is manually intensive and cost on the payroll). They offered to let me get my own bags if I shoveled it myself at the bulk price (a huge discount). It was never a question about if this was even a remote possibility. The owner was contacted via the PA system and the answer was: of course, let them do it! All in real time with an atmosphere of cooperation and goodwill. Much of the negative comments listed in the reviews do not apply anymore. I can personally attest to that! This business is customer focused and addressed all it could. And clearly would get out of their way to address more if it was needed. When you are there, you can tell they want you as their customer to be satisfied. Never will you find fish lines in your compost anymore (what exactly was the problem anyway? was it toxic? I was amused reading the review). Nonetheless they reacted to the comments and now have filters in place to keep this from occurring. If you are a prospective customer I recommend you do as we did. Watch! Do not for a moment take my word for what I have to say. In fact I recommend you come in skeptical as I was so that you can take in the full experience. Organic for Gosh deserves the best recommendation and honestly that is what I am trying to do here. They exceeded my expectations in every way, which is why I am writing this. Take time to see how they do it. My soil and compost are so rich. My garden is going to be thriving, because the moment i put my hands into their product I knew this was gold. Not unlike anyone reading my comment, the moment I walk into a business I usually can tell if I want to stick around and inquire, or if I want to just run and never return. Don't believe a word I say! I have no personal interest or gain to harvest here. Please give yourself the gift of visit to this place. The people working there you will meet are all smile, good hearted, knowledgeable, committed to giving you the best they can offer. This is a rare occurrence in my world these days. My review would have been higher, except that about 10% of the load was yellow fat clay, a soil type which is not on this property. The February 2021 winter storms, Uri, in particular, killed 3 of our Monterrey Oaks in our front…read moreyard. Two of the Monterrey Oaks were over 20-years old. It was heartbreaking! After pulling them from the ground and setting them aside, we realized we could see about repurposing them. Low and behold, Texas Urban Sawmill came out to our ranchette, loaded them onto their special truck, and hauled them off to Texas Urban Sawmill. As requested, they sliced each tree trunk longways in about 2 1/2 inch boards/slabs. They are BEAUTIFUL! After we let them airdry on our property for about two years (Devin explained every detail on how to do it) we are hoping to make some furniture, including a live-edge dining room table. If we find we are not skilled enough (we've never made one before) or just want a more professionally made table, we will definitely take a couple of the slabs back to Texas Urban Sawmill to have them make it. If you want your trees repurposed, be sure to call Devin and the Texas Urban Sawmill. He is very professional and easy to work with. He might even give you a tour of his "shop" including the huge sawmill. It is awesome!
